Alabama church posts sign: ‘A black vote for Trump is mental illness

Story continues below advertisementA Baptist church in Birmingham, Ala., is capturing national attention for a sign saying that a black person voting for President Trump “is mental illness.”
The controversial sign put on display outside the New Era Baptist Church reads on one side, “A black vote for Trump is mental illness.” The other side of the sign displays another message: “A white vote for Trump is pure racism.”
Michael Jordan, the pastor of the local church, told WZDX that he put the sign up hoping it would encourage people to choose a name other than Trump on their ballots next year.
Daxton Kirk, a local Trump supporter, told the station that people “should not be able to come into a building and feel like you are hated or diversified just because you came here to worship the Lord.”
Kirk told the local station that he has reached out to the town’s City Hall to see if local officials can take action on the sign.
The pastor defended his message.
“God motivates me to take a stand for what’s right,” Jordan told the local station, adding: “Read the Bible and look in the White House. If they call me a racist, look in the White House.”
“When you vote for Donald Trump, you are supporting institutionalized racism,” Jordan, who is African American, also said.
Trump’s approval rating among minority voters dropped in a Hill-HarrisX poll last month after he faced backlash for telling four Democratic lawmakers of color to “go back” to where they came from.
At the time, the poll found Trump’s approval rating to have decreased to 13 percent among African American voters and 23 percent among Hispanic voters.

This so-called pastor (sheep-eater) has thrown the Scripture out of his church. He cares as much about Scripture as the Man in the Moon. Chrislam has been advanced by the likes of Rick Warren. This is the Church in America today – not a place where humble souls bowed in prayer and studied Scripture – and a place where the Scripture was preached with power – and where people came to a saving knowledge of Jesus: II Peter 3:18 – but RATHER, a place of ungodly political activism in the “name of the Lord”.

The government (IRS) does not remove tax-exempt status from liberal, black churches in America because of political bias.

Jordan surface, I say people like him are the problem and racists! New Era Baptist church is a disgrace to have a hypocrite like Jordan in their fellowship. That should be MORE than enough for that bapptist church to lose its 501(C)(3) status. Of course, “black” churches have always gotten away with doing it, preaching politics and recommending candidates, from the pulpit (totally forbidden by law). However, this one is blatant, even for a “black” church.

The Democratic Party is literally basing its entire 2020 strategy on painting Trump as a racist. They are desperate to prevent Blacks and Hispanics from voting for him. Even a 5-7% shift in Black/Hispanic voters to Trump would be fatal for the Democrats in swing states.
Just to hedge their bets, I hear their handing out free coffee and donuts on the plantation. That’s should stop the natives from fleeing.

I see several blacks on TV who have studied the Democrat party history and realize they were the party
of Slavery and jim-crow laws. These people are beginning to speak out and, I suspect, they are making headway to swing the black vote toward better government and away from socialism. I certainly hope so.
