Israeli Minister On Tlaib: ‘Her Hate For Israel Overcomes Her Love For Her Grandmother’

Israeli Minister On Tlaib: ‘Her Hate For Israel Overcomes Her Love For Her Grandmother’

Shelby Talcott, NY Daily News, August 16, 2019

Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib has decided not to go to Israel because of “oppressive conditions” after being approved by the Israli government to visit her grandmother.

Tlaib of Michigan sent a letter asking permission to enter Israel on the premise she would not promote boycotts against the country, according to the interior ministry.  The letter also read that Tlaib would respect any restrictions imposed during her visit. The letter comes after Tlaib was banned from entering the country.

After requesting to be allowed to visit her grandmother, Tlaib walked back the request and tweeted Friday morning that she would not visit Israel, as it would “kill a piece” of her.

sraeli Interior Minister Aryeh Deri tweeted Friday in response to Tlaib’s attack on Israel, writing that “apparently her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother.”

Deri explained that the letter Tlaib sent Thursday included a part where she said “it might be my last chance to meet” her grandmother.

“The Israeli government used my love and desire to see my grandmother to silence me and made my ability to do so contingent upon my signing a letter – reflecting just how undemocratic and afraid they are of the truth my trip would reveal about what is happening in the State of Israel and to Palestinians living under occupation with United States support,” Tlaib said in a statement, according to NBC News.

Tlaib planned to pick from fig trees with her grandmother, NBC News reported. She also planned to discuss Israel’s policies with both Israelis and Palestinians.

Israel originally said Thursday that it wouldn’t allow Tlaib or Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar to enter the country. The Levantine nation barred the two from visiting because of fears they were trying to “boycott and negate Israel’s legitimacy.”

Shortly before Israel announced the ban, President Donald Trump tweeted that Israel would “show great weakness” if they allowed the two lawmakers to enter the country.

Surprise, surprise! Visiting granny wasn’t so important after all. Who would have guessed?

It was not important until she became a member of congress where she has more fame.

Poor old Granny was just another prop – like the small children the Arabs push in front of Israeli soldiers, with instructions to throw rocks.

Meanwhile, the usual suspects – AIPAC, Charles Schumer, woman-of –color Elizabeth Warren et al. have been denigrating Israel non-stop over this farce.

So Golda Meyer was right after all in her famous statement! (just substitute word ‘children’ for ‘family’).

In the long term, no muslums gives a FFF about peace w/Israel they want Israel destroyed and turned into another muslum sh!ttystan even if in the short term they’re willing to countenance the lie of the hudna treaty.

Well once again proof that your first decision is normally the best one. This Jezebel is only interested in more Arab political theatre. Should have kept the visit denial in place…

Maranatha-

I think nothing more strongly supports the idea that Arab leaders and the left in general don’t care diddly squat about the Palestinians as people than the situation you describe.

In no Arab country are “Palestinians” (a people who never were for a country that never was) as free as Arabs who hold Israeli citizenship. In Lebanon, and I think similar restrictions are imposed in other Arab countries, “Palis” are denied citizenship, denied freedom of movement, denied the right to work in most jobs outside the refugee camps. and are generally have few rights. Of course, I don’t hear Tlaib, Omar, or CAIR complaining about this. NGOs very delicately tap dance around this, and, oh la la, the French don’t give a dam.

These Palestinians left Israel in the war of 1948 and are kept in Lebanon in refugee camps now for 70 years. They are not allowed to settle as citizens in the country they fled to. No other community of refugees are living in refugee camps for generations – only Palestinians do and the world is silent, and the host county is silent.

Israel offered to allow her to visit her grandmother but Rashida Tlaibanned herself.
Oh well…

Maybe Abbas can let her visit Gaza instead and the PA can handle her security…

Although I am not racist, not even nationalist, the analysis of the Nazis is the whole core
of today’s reality. These people are not stupid and have recognized the fraud. It’s up to
the Jews themselves whether they want to cheat or actually be “humanistic” in the sense
that they also grant their natural rights to all others. And I say that with my Jewish roots!

Last week I met two well dressed nice young men (“elders”). I talked to them. It turns out that they
are American Mormons who are fulfilling “their mission” here in Germany. They were very interes-
ted in my acquaintance, but said they could only use the Internet to a limited extent. I gave them
my Twitter account, but it was forbidden. I told them their own church has a German Twitter account.

I listened to All Things Considered‘s (a show on America’s National Public Radio/TV) segment on this. They reported with heavy, almost dark overtones about how bad it was for Israel that the government had sunk to the level of denying these broads entree into their country. No mention of why Israel might take that stand apart from “pressure” from …. drum roll …. DONALD TRUMP. Funny thing, though, they never mentioned that, at Tlaib’s request, she had been granted permission to see her grandmother, but spurned the opportunity.

As I see it, NPR provided a highly selective rendition of this affair, in which Israel and, of course, Trump were portrayed in negative light (with Trump being the main villain). Tlaib’s motives- and her blatant hypocrisy in agreeing to Israel’s restrictions, then biting the hand offered to her, went unnoticed by the ace sleuths at NPR.

I quite enjoy my local classical music station, but I hope that Trump will defund NPR. It is a leftist propaganda machine, and if there ever was an excuse for a government news organization, that day has long ago run its course.

Her so called love for her grandmother is as fake as she is. Why is it that she did not wish to visit that grandmother until now? What was it that did not let her go to see that old lady, but now all of a sudden it is just so “vital” and “urgent” that she visits her? She is willing to use the poor old lady as an excuse to promote her vicious hate for Jews and especially for Israel.

“The Israeli government used my love and desire to see my grandmother to silence me…” More like her hatred of Israel and Judaism was much more important to her than seeing her grandmother. No one with a brain could possibly blame Israel for anything this sick woman does–ever!
