NY TIMES: ROSENSTEIN WANTED TO WEAR WIRE PLOT TO REMOVE TRUMP #Treason

Why is Rosenstein still there? Or his weak sister, Sessions?

And why is high treason now the accepted norm? America is in a bloody tailspin.

Rosenstein wanted to wear wire on Trump, NYT says

By Morgan Chalfant, The Hill, September, 21, 2018:

Story continues below advertisement

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein proposed secretly recording conversations in the Oval Office with President Trump last year and discussed the possibility of Cabinet officials invoking the 25th Amendment to remove the president, according to a New York Times report.

The bombshell story sparked a political firestorm Friday afternoon, prompting an immediate denial from the Justice Department and sparking calls from conservative circles for Trump to fire his No. 2 law enforcement official.

The Times, citing people familiar with the matter, reported on Friday that Rosenstein made comments to other Justice Department officials in meetings in spring 2017 about secretly recording Trump after the president fired FBI Director James Comey in May.

The allegations are said to be laid out in contemporaneous memos written by then-acting FBI director Andrew McCabe, who was fired by the Justice Department earlier this year amid an internal leak probe.

Rosenstein is fiercely denying the Times’ account, and reports from other outlets on Friday have offered conflicting pictures of the events, with many characterizing Rosenstein’s comment about a wire on the president as sarcastic.

“The New York Times’s story is inaccurate and factually incorrect,” Rosenstein said in a statement issued by the Justice Department. “I will not further comment on a story based on anonymous sources who are obviously biased against the department and are advancing their own personal agenda.”

“But let me be clear about this: Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment,” he added.

According to the Times, which cited unnamed sources, Rosenstein made the remarks last year to McCabe who then detailed the Justice Department official’s comments in memos.

In the discussions, Rosenstein reportedly floated the possibility of recruiting Cabinet members, such as Attorney General Jeff Sessions and then-Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, now the White House chief of staff, behind an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment.

The amendment allows Cabinet members to trigger removing the president by majority vote if they deem the president unfit for office.

There is no evidence that Rosenstein acted on the alleged assertions.

A Justice Department spokeswoman provided a comment to the Times from a person who was said to be present when Rosenstein reportedly suggested wearing a wire. That person, who was not named, said Rosenstein’s remark was made sarcastically.

The Washington Post confirmed later Friday that McCabe’s memos state that Rosenstein suggested surreptitiously recording the president.

However, the Post also cited an unnamed official present for the meeting who claimed the comment was made in jest and that it came in response to McCabe’s own suggestion that the Justice Department open a probe into Trump following Comey’s firing.

Michael Bromwich, an attorney for McCabe, said in a statement after the Times article was published that the former FBI deputy director has “no knowledge” of how his memos were leaked to the media. The lawyer added that the memos have been provided to Mueller’s office.

“Andrew McCabe drafted memos to memorialize significant discussions he had with high level officials and preserved them so he would have an accurate, contemporaneous record of those discussions,” Bromwich said.

“When he was interviewed by the Special Counsel more than a year ago, he gave all of his memos — classified and unclassified — to the Special Counsel’s office,” Bromwich added. “A set of those memos remained at the FBI at the time of his departure in late January 2018. He has no knowledge of how any member of the media obtained those memos.”

McCabe was fired by the Justice Department in March, before a scathing inspector general report concluded that he lied to FBI agents about his unauthorized disclosures to the media. A grand jury has reportedly been convened to examine McCabe’s actions.

The events last year, as reported by the Times, came after Trump fired Comey, a decision that the White House initially attributed to a Justice Department memo written by Rosenstein that faulted the now-former FBI director for his handling of the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

Comey’s firing sparked a fury of criticism, and e in the 2016 election.

Despite Rosenstein’s denial, the Times story threatens to further ratchet up tensions between Trump and his top law enforcement officials.

It has already prompted suggestions from conservative circles that the president should fire the deputy attorney general.

“Rod Rosenstein must be fired today,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham wrote on Twitter. “He needs to go. Today.”

Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, blasted administration officials over the Rosenstein report on Friday.

The New York Times sole rivals are the Tabloids one buys at the check-out in food markets. Rosenstein is pleased that he is part of the perfidy, treachery utilized by the Fifth Column, the leftist-fascist mainstream media. As a quintessential socialist elitist Rosenstein perceives himself as the intelligentsia, a superbeing of sorts. Not unlike those true believers of Nazism, Communism, seduced by a totalitarian ideology. His Jewishness should not play a part, but he represents the numerous American/Western Jews with an inherent grasping and reverence of the Socialist/Communist edict. He, the Democrats, and others of this pathetic worldview are not as intelligent as they predicate.

Have wondered why someone hasn’t been called treasonous before now. All these people calling for killing the President, even blowing up the white house, kerry going to iran, mad maxine and her big mouth. I realize there is such a thing as free speech, but it doesn’t apply to conservatives, only to the demonrats.

I could care less about whether Rosenstein made the so-called comment, sarcastically or not. The ultimate challenge and issue is how all this rhetoric is affecting this great nation, especially as it involves the continuing investigation by Mueller into whether the Trump people knowingly cooperated with Russia to taint the election. This investigation, and all the morbid information that has been generated establishing that personal prejudice of the FBI and the AG played a significant role in the institution of the Mueller investigation, seems obvious to any right thinking person. This prejudice has significantly contributed to what is today a divisiveness that is causing much consternation in this nation. Mueller can help end some of this divisiveness by ending his likely falsely promoted investigation by ending his investigation and stating that there is no evidence that Trump or his campaign criminally tainted the election with Russian help. The election was won because the electorate did not trust Clinton and appreciated Trump’s message. In fact, our country has done well under Trump’s leadership, and we must bring back civility.

But treason applies to aiding and abetting an enemy. They are not necessarily aiding Islam other than in a “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” sort of way.

Their behavior would be the same without Islam in the picture.

Thus, their acts may not be treasonous but they are still seditious.

Having said that, it seems to me, not trying to engage in conspiracies but I know of no other plausible explanation, that there is an enemy that most people don’t acknowledge and those who do are labeled as paranoid or delusional. The deep state as well as the one world order, which seems to be related, is an enemy. The whole open borders and United Nations attempt to rule over individual members to achieve some sort of utopia is proof that we do have an enemy because open borders will replace our national identity and that will make it possible to abrogate our constitutional foundations. And it is the Left but also RINOs aligned with the Left’s objective of one world order who are traitors to our nation because their seditious acts are aiding our enemy to overthrow our republic.

I think that both terms apply. The lines between sedition and treason are not always clear because the term “at war” is generally taken to mean at war with another sovereign state. We have however been at war with the Islamic State since 9/11 when they declared war on us. Because the US has not declared war on the IS does not necessarily mean that we are not at war and that those who provide “comfort and solace to our enemies” are not guilty of treason. You can also view the invasion into the US by Mexican nationals with the stated intent of “reclaiming California” as a non-military act of war.

TREASON is defined in the constitution.
Article III
Section 3
1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The US is NOT officially at war, so it’s currently IMPOSSIBLE to adhere to her enemies. As I said, this is SUBVERSION!

Do we need to be at war to have an enemy?

I agree with you that these acts are seditious. And if their goal is to take over for themselves then their acts are purely seditious. But if their acts are so that a one world order can be established then that establishment is an enemy and thus their acts are also treasonous.

Do we need to be at war to have an enemy?

I think that we do need to be in a physical war. That is how treason is defined in the Constitution as you can see from the definition submitted by Alan McIntire above. And I suspect that that is the reason that Congress and others in power are so reluctant.

It seems to me if they are at war with us and we’re too stupid to recognize it… this is clearly the case with Islam. And what the One World Order seems to be about, they are at war with us too.

Sun Tzu wrote that one needs to know who their enemy is or they will lose. We clearly don’t.

In the past, there were nation states with which one country would fight another. But that isn’t the case any more. So who would you be at war with? Islam isn’t tied to one nation or another at this point in time. And neither is the One World Order. This makes declaring war and identifying an enemy a bit more abstract. Thus I think we need to re-think what we mean by treason versus sedition. Maybe these are two sides of the same coin, but the results from actors committing treason versus sedition are essentially the same.

Note: Not that there is an organized leader of the One World Order besides Soros who seems to be funding much of that type of activity, but the activity is seditious none the same.

Drowning swamp critters grasping at straws.
According to the 25th amendment, section 4 paragraph 1 as I read it,in order for it to be in effect, the Vice President MUST be onboard regardless of who brings the allegations against the POTUS.
I don’t see that happening.
A charge of Treason against those swampers in the “Resist” category IMO would have to be brought FBI [right,I see that] and put in front of a Grand Jury,as the US is technically at war and it is entirely possible a Grand Jury could agree to push forward charges against Brennan,Rosenstein,Comey and crew with Treason/High Treason.
Getting a conviction might be another story, but breaking their banks with atty fees would be nice to see and deserved.

Sedition charges are on the table IMO as they are attempting to overthrow a LEGAL POTUS,and Gov’t and there really is NO debate there.
This is without a shred of a doubt, turd world bannana republic BS going on.
Sessions is a less than worthless lump of shiite,he NEEDS to go and get an American Patriot in there to clean up this shiitehouse mess that is bogging down forward progress for the USA.

Treason and sedition are terms that are similar in nature and are applied to cases wherein individuals or organizations have acted in defiance of established authorities. Sedition laws have always been in place to allow governments to take coercive action against acts of defiance that are meant to overthrow them. Treason involves acting against the interests of a state and thus confuses many as to whether they should use treason or sedition in a particular context. The key difference between sedition and treason is that the sedition is a crime against one’s own state, and so is treason, but treason is considered far more serious crime than sedition. This article takes a close look at the two words, sedition and treason, to come up with their differences.

What is Sedition?

If you are doing something or saying something that is meant to overthrow the established authority in your country, you are liable to be charged with sedition. To curb their citizens from doing so, many countries of the world have sedition laws in place. In the modern world, merely criticizing the policies of the government in place cannot be treated as sedition because of the freedom of speech. But in years gone by, governments treated their own people badly if they raised their voice against their policies. In fact, anti-sedition laws have been used by some countries to persecute minorities. These laws at times became a tool in the hands of governments to suppress the voices of opposition parties.

Subversion or disrespect of the constitution is often regarded as acts of sedition. There was a time when some people in US were charged with sedition when they burned national flags to show their displeasure against the Vietnam War.

What is Treason?

Treason is a concept that overlaps with sedition. It refers to acts of brazen defiance against one’s own government in a bid to bring harm or to overthrow the government in place. If you owe allegiance to your government but do something to overthrow the government or betray your state by harming its interests and by helping an enemy state, you are liable to be charged with treason. In earlier times, a servant killing his master or a wife running away with another man were considered as examples of treason. But in modern times, the act of a citizen that helps a foreign government to overthrow the government in place is considered an act of treason. Compromising with the security interests of one’s own country by helping an enemy state is also treason. Obviously declaring a war against one’s government in place is an act of treason.

What is the difference between Sedition and Treason?

• Sedition is a crime against one’s own state, and so is treason, but treason is considered far more serious crime than sedition.

• Speaking against the government or engaging in acts of defiance are termed as sedition and anti-sedition laws are applied on such individuals or organizations.

• In modern times, freedom of speech protects the right of individuals and governments cannot take action against their citizens merely on grounds of defiance or opposition.

• Espionage and helping the enemy state to overthrow one’s own government is considered treason.

• Burning national flag was seditious act in US a few decades ago but today it has been ruled legitimate by SC as part of the freedom of speech of the citizens.

• In general, treason is a more serious offense than sedition.

The president could have a ball with this. He could avoid even addressing the issue. If ever queried upon such, he could state, “You know, I read something about that, in the “failing” New York Times. I cannot place too much stock in such, as with all of their ‘confidential sources’, and the number of times that they have been caught in outright lies …. I didn’t pay any attention to it.”
I am certain that the president knows all about Rosie and all of its schemes … When the time is right, he’ll take appropriate action.
But for now, wouldn’t it be a hoot to see him just call out the failing NYT and their “fake news”?

We already know Rosenstein is a coup plotter against our duly elected president.
Trump is far too savvy to take this phony bait from the NYT.
This “breaking news” is another self-inculpating piece of disinformation and initiation of circular evidence in the mode of the corrupt dirty dossier and seditious Russia investigation of our media-deep state globalist cabal.
So the lowly, seditious, immigrant mouthpiece NYT can spend the next 45 days propagandizing about Trump being a dictator, even though Trump has been meticulous in his observance of his Constitutionally enumerated powers.
Like all mainstream media, the NYT is infested with immigrants, who see nothing but their own experiences as subjects and collaborators — their only two options in the sh*t hole countries they come from.
Like Mueller, Clinton, Comey, obama, etc, etc, etc, Rosenstein will face justice soon enough.

If Rosenstein said it sarcadtically in application to himself, ie “maybe I should wear a wire to record Trump”, then this shows an anti-trump environment because how else would such a comment even arise.

Whereas if the comment was a response by an anti-Trump person, then his remark might be more like, “what do they want me to do… wear a wire?”

It sounds like the former was stated. If so, it probably wasn’t stated sarcastically and explains why Mueller is still investigating Trump given the fact, which he must have known, that the whole basis for the investigation was and still is a hoax.
