Convicted terrorist suing federal prison system over religious rights

An Islamic terrorist is suing the federal prison system for allegedly violating his religious freedom. The trial came to a close Tuesday in Denver, Colorado with a ruling expected to be issued in the coming days.
Story continues below advertisementAhmed Ajaj is effectively serving a life sentence for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that killed six people and injured a thousand others.

Reports show Ajaj attended terrorist training camps in both Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia to learn bomb making before coming to the U.S. as an asylum seeker.

He is now accusing a super-max prison in Colorado of failing to meet his long list of dietary and religious demands.
Court records show the man snubbed vegetarian and kosher options, instead insisting all animals be fed, raised and slaughtered in accordance with Islamic law. Authorities said it is almost impossible to find a vendor who meets all his criteria.
Ajaj is also complaining that the Imam assigned to him does not share his exact views, because he is of a different denomination of Islam.
While it remains unclear how much money the man is seeking, he asked to be awarded $130,000 back in 2014 as compensation for dietary issues related to Ramadan — the Islamic holy month of fasting. This latest lawsuit was filed a year later in 2015.
Ajaj has since been moved to a prison in Indiana, where authorities were able to get in contact with a supplier to begin serving meals that Ajaj finds “acceptable.”

Live Maine Lobster, boiled until it turns red and not a second longer, Eggs Benedict for breakfast, served with Cristal or 1973 Dom English Cuvee’, and the list goes on. That is not a requisite. It is served at only the holiest of festivals, but participation of members is not required …. We’re a wide spread (geographically) denomination and attendance at some festivals is not demanded. You really should look into Our Lady of the Divine Moslem Haters.

Never had squid deep fried. However, I am VERY fond of dried squid. Spicy boiled octopus and beef stew is one of my favorites. Haven’t had any in close to twenty years (octopus). We buy a big batch of dried squid twice a year.

When I worked in the prison system, I had a muslim client that demanded tea time everyday. The imam that came to visit him told him when you break man’s law you live in prison by man’s law with no special treatment. Non-citizens should not be allowed to sue. Congress needs to pass a law stating this. Too many muslims are suing for a quick payday. Let’s put a stop to this.
