On Sunday, Congressman Steve King (R-IA) tweeted “America is heading in the direction of another Harpers Ferry. After that comes Ft. Sumter.” He added a link to a PJ Media story about “Occupy” protestors forcing an ICE office to close in Portland, OR.
“About 40 tents and 100-150 people were obstructing all entrances and exits. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has refused Portland police action against the protesters.” They are demanding that the Trump administration revoke its “zero tolerance” immigration policy.
They have heckled employees trying to leave the building, laid down in the street and, when cameras are rolling, they break into their chant, “No more ICE. Shut down ICE.” All very civilized behavior.

Consider the events of the last week. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant because she works for President Trump. Her father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, told Laura Ingraham the rest of the story.
“Sarah and her husband just went home. They had sort of had enough.”
“But the rest of her family went across the street to another restaurant,” he explained, “and that’s when things got even more absurd.”
“The owner of the Red Hen — because nobody’s told this — then followed them across the street, called people and organized a protest, yelling and screaming at them from outside the restaurant and creating this scene,” he explained. One of Sander’s in-laws, whom he described as “very liberal,” walked out and said, “Look, I don’t like Trump, I’m not a supporter, I’m — considered liberal — but you guys are embarrassing me and you’re not helping the cause.”
Nevertheless, the mob yelled and screamed even though Sanders was no longer there because, apparently, having even a tangential relationship to the Trump administration means you’re not fit to be out and about in polite society and you’re no longer to be afforded public accommodations.
Last week also brought the story of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen being relentlessly heckled in a DC restaurant. The next day, protestors appeared in front of her home.
Celebrities, from Robert DeNiro to Madonna, can’t seem to help themselves from joining the fray. Why they believe that acting in a movie or selling out a concert hall qualifies them to lecture us about politics is a mystery. Standards of behavior have deteriorated to the point where there’s no longer any pretense of civility. How did Americans become so polarized? Can we no longer respectfully disagree?
Sean Hannity’s Monday night opening monologue outlines how we got here and how President Trump’s accomplishments are enraging liberals who see their impeachment fantasies grow dimmer with each success. Florida AG Pam Bondi describes being surrounded by “three huge men” who began cursing at her at a movie theater. There is also a clip of Sarah Huckabee Sanders discussing her “Red Hen” experience and the call from a Hollywood actor publicly encouraging people to kidnap her children. At 11:00 in the video, the mainstream media defends this behavior. Please watch the video below.
Rep. King is not alone in his assessment. Columnist Glenn Reynolds wrote that a “‘soft’ civil war is well underway. It will get worse unless we learn to stop hating each other.” He added:
Hollywood has basically turned its products, and its award shows, into showcases for “the resistance.” Americans are already sorting themselves into communities that are predominantly red or blue. And in heavily blue Washington, D.C., Trump staffers find that a lot of people don’t want to date them because of their politics.
Writer Tom Ricks had this to say on the possibility of a second civil war. “I don’t believe we’re to Kansas of the 1850s yet. But we seem to be lurching … in that direction.”
Bloomberg opinion writer Thomas Schaller, in a piece called “What Democratic rage would look like,” wrote “I think we’re at the beginning of a soft civil war…I don’t know if the country gets out of it whole.”
While I am well aware that I view the news through a conservative lens, it’s clear that most of the outrageous behavior has come from the left and their inability to accept Donald Trump as our president. I don’t hear conservatives speaking like Samantha Bee, Kathy Griffin or Peter Fonda.
What will it take to come back from the deep divisions that threaten to destroy America? It will take an incident that is so egregious and indefensible, not even liberals can defend it.
So far, Rep. Maxine Waters recent call for supporters to harass members of the Trump administration comes the closest to a defining moment, but still falls short. Waters said:
“They’re not going to be able to go to a restaurant, they’re not going to be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store,” Waters said. “The people are going to turn on them, they’re going to protest, they’re going to absolutely harass them.”
Although she has received some blowback from fellow Democrats, this incident alone is insufficient to bring the required change.
However, if liberal activists began to engage in regular harassment or take their actions to a dangerous, new level, which is conceivable, that would be a game changer. We may hope, then, that one sane influential liberal will step up and say, this is crazy, this is anarchy, it’s got to stop.

Hollywood people are jealous of Trump. They are mini tyrants themselves over their household help, maids, gardeners and the pool guy. They see Trump as a B rated celebrity, and they think he doesn’t deserve to be where he is. Even though he worked very hard on his campaign, has a view which many people share , and he stuck out his neck and succeeded. Look at Sean Penn who met with Castro and Chavez , because he wants to be a dictator like them. Look at DeNiro and Madonna , they are all insanely jealous. Trouble is they don’t want to do the work because they are used to having people do it for them. Trump is a workaholic and a standup guy.

Mayors and if need Governors need to be arrested for NOT enforcing our LAWS – no sanctuary cities! OBEY OUR LAWS. No threatening ICE and other people. If you crack down on that, people will knock it off.

When I cut my long hedge, I always stand well back after a while to see if I’ve got the work straight, It’s like that now, Congressman King is correct as is the piece from Mr Hannity but sometimes you need the perspective of distance to understand that.
A major mental effort is needed to understand the fact that the raging hard left in America are not “liberals” in any recognisable form, they’re Marxists and Neo Nazis, each one is trying to signal their “virtue” more violently than any other. No violent attack against the Trump people will cause most of them to say “enough”, because this is now a dog fight and the fight back has to start somewhere sometime.

I have read almost every adjective in the dictionary describing the left, from demented to spoiled brats to delusional to …you name it. But they all miss the mark. The U.S. is now at a stage where the only word that aptly and properly describes the insane, inane, vicious, vile, senseless and unholy rhetoric spewing forth from their lips in utter abandon is SATANIC. Every word they vomit is a lie or a twisting of the truth to deceive and destroy the simple minded, low-information and foolish of society and turn them into their pawns. I really hate that this is a “thing” but as it is, I must point out something (re: the map) that helps to preclude this from actually happening.
Namely, on what planet are Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Kentucky (maybe Tenn as well) on Team Blue?? I dunno, any residents of same out there who want to chime in? Are YOU guys gonna happily sign up with New York, Illinois and San Francisco in this great sorting? Bring on the climate change, transgender bathrooms (hell, transgender agitprop and promulgation in elementary schools…), gun control (then knife control, don’t kid yourself), replacing heroes of the Boston Tea Party with the heroes of ‘Black Lives Matter’, and an utterly unguarded southern border that leads directly to your own states at will? It will be literally against the law to oppose any of that in any way, you do realize. Think there will be a constitution handy to protect your right to so oppose? Really? Why? From what source shall such a constitution arise?
Or might you possibly have something to say about all that?
And if you take those states out of Blue, then is such a map really viable?
This topic should not really be discussed seriously from a geography standpoint without Google Imaging ‘Clinton Archipelago’.

Progressives have no philosophical basis on which to stop the march toward war. They regard their own politics as essential, universal truth (even though their ideals are incoherent so they can’t articulate them); they regard their opponents as evil by virtue of their opposition. They believe they are saving the world. They believe that their feelings are entirely righteous. They believe that the bullying they’re carrying out is wholesome and virtuous.
So why would they stop that bullying? They don’t even think it’s wrong.
The only way Progressive would stop their march into violence is if they stopped being Progressives.

Rep. King, bite your tongue. We don’t need a second civil war; the first one almost destroyed us as a nation. We need civil discourse. Conservatives are not off the hook here. They need to stop calling their political opponents libtards and words of that ilk. It alienates people that you should want on your side. Save it for soliloquies in the shower. Before you talk about your opponents (Can we ask you to talk TO them instead?), ask yourself if John F. Kennedy or Ronald Reagan would have talked about them the same way. We need a strong America able to confront the forces of evil, currently radical Islam, just as only a strong America could confront the twin evils of the last century, Nazism and Communism. America must remain ONE NATION INDIVISIBLE.
