Muqtada al-Sadr threatens to attack U.S. military trainers in Iraq

Al-Sadr’s aide: keep captured female soldiers as slaves

U.S. forces battled fighters loyal to radical Muslim cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in his stronghold of Kufa overnight Sunday

Story continues below advertisement

Fighters loyal to radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr drove Italian forces from a base in the southern city of Nasiriyah

Sadr is best known in the West for leading mass uprisings against the American occupation of Iraq following the 2003 invasion. His Mahdi Army — which numbered up to 10,000 at one point — carried out the first organized Shiite attacks against U.S. forces. The Sadr-led insurgency was so effective that U.S. troops were ordered to kill or capture him. (DC)

And now….

ANTI-AMERICAN militia chief Muqtada al-Sadr wins Iraq election in DEVASTATING blow to WEST

FORMER Shia militia chief and anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr’s political coalition has won the Iraqi parliamentary elections and is on the cusp of forming a government, forcing Iraq’s outgoing Prime Minister into third place.

By Matthew Robinson The Express

The political leader led two uprisings against the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2002 and many American officials regard Mr al-Sadr as being responsible for the deaths of many US troops.

Directly following the results, Mr al-Sadr wrote: “Your vote is an honour for us.

“Iraq and reforms have won with your votes.

“We will not disappoint you; the blame, all the blame is on those who failed Iraq.”

Trillions of dollars and thousands of soldiers lives expended for what? To replace one tyrannical Islamic state with another. Does the US leadership have any clue what they’re doing? When you keep respecting the ideology you’re at war with, you get nowhere but back to where you started.

The only solution for the mideast, and to end Islamic terrorism is secular democracy like we have in all western countries where people can worship whatever they want or nothing at all.

Islam is a theocratic, totalitarian ideology in direct conflict with Democracy. Why waste all that money and blood for nothing? End Islam, wipe out radical Muslims and bring freedom/democracy to the rest of the peaceful/good muslims. That’s what they want and so do we. Otherwise we’re chasing our own tail.

Well if the US leaves, guess what happens to the minority Sunni population (35%)? They’ll get slaughtered since the Sunnis killed many Shiites (65%) when they were in power and who gets the blame? America. And Muslims don’t just kill with guns/knives/bombs, they love to torture their enemies to death.

Millions of Iraqis risked their lives to vote in free/democratic elections after GW Bush liberated Iraq. They are our allies and we put them in that position. I think Trump should annul these elections and impose secular-democracy as I mentioned in my post below. That’s the only way out of this mess for Muslims and non-Muslims with the least bloodshed.

Empower pro-US, pro-Secular (non-religious) forces in Iraq, allow all religions or no religion…but ban Islam because that’s what created this disaster in the first place.

Getting out is what created ISIS. Not saying getting out is right or wrong but there will be consequences which need to be considered.

Handing over from sunni saddam to shia sadr. Saddam was better. As long as America did not attack him , he was not a threat.

Shia Iraq would make Iran stronger and iraqis that US welcomes would be threat in future too !

Going to war based on video made by Al-qaeda affiliates was height of stupidity.

It took Israelis to expose truth about Palestinian fakery and Lies and boy was Trump furious when he realised how he had been conned http://bit.ly/2rOmfyJ

The so called Pali are Arabs. The Pali’ have a home country named Saudia Arabia. This business about tha Gaza Strip is the road to which the Pali’ wish for a Trojan Horse to go down into Isreal but that will never happen. The Pali’ do not construct things, only destroy.
But I agree with your assessment of those heatherns.

Who cares about Iraq at this point? We spent millions, maybe billions, on trying to help them, and for what? Most of their people still probably despise us.

Yes, they were given a chance to have a better future and it came at great cost but they squandered it.

People in the west can not fathom why muslim countries always elect tyrants to govern over them. It is their way of life and upbringing, and can not be changed.
