The truth violates Facebook community standards. This is still more social media censorship, and more attempts to silence all conservative voices. We are seeing an unprecedented erosion in our First Amendment rights, increasingly prohibiting the flow of ideas and free expression in the public square (social media). Run by left-wing self-possessed snowflakes, social media giants are indulging their worst autocratic impulses. And because they can, it is getting worse. “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
Having grown up in the 1970s, I can tell you it was a vastly different country then. It was free. But we aren’t any no longer, and it is time we took back what is ours — our unalienable freedoms.
Having been one of the early targets of social media censorship on Facebook, YouTube et al, I have advocated for anti-trust action against these bullying behemoths. Early last year, I wrote: “The US government has used anti-trust laws to break up monopolies. They ought to break up Facebook. Section 2 of the Sherman Act highlights particular results deemed anticompetitive by nature and prohibits actions that ‘shall monopolize, or attempt to monopolize, or combine or conspire with any other person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations.’ Couldn’t the same be applied to information? The United States government took down Standard Oil, Alcoa, Northern Securities, the American Tobacco Company and many others without nearly the power that Facebook has.”

What is happening is being engineered at the government level. A chief officer from a major American communications company went to the terror state of Pakistan to assure the Pakistani government that Facebook would adhere to the sharia. The commitment was given by Vice President of Facebook Joel Kaplan, who called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. “Facebook has reiterated its commitment to keep the platform safe and promote values that are in congruence with its community standards.”
Why the block? Because under Islamic law, you cannot criticize Islam. Facebook adhering to the most extreme and brutal ideology on the face of the earth should trouble all of us, because Mark Zuckerberg has immense power. He controls the flow of information. This must be stopped. Our First Amendment freedom of speech is at stake.

You need to look up the definition of “censor.”
There are regulations. If FB censors information, that makes them a publisher and they lose some of their protections against lawsuits and prosecutability for such things as libel.

Facebook’s platform might be loosing steam, because of censorship. FB, fell into the political trappings of “shaming & blaming”. President Trump use of Twitter, has elevated it’s recognition and the validity of passing accurate information directly from the source. Without painting or dressing up to suit anyone’s specific agenda. The new tools are Instagram and Twitter, it is time to move.

Pamela I think the better solution would be to pass legislation making Mark Zuckerberg and/or senior management personally responsible under penalty of imprisonment for not following named guidelines in operation of any such ap such as Facebook. By making the penalty imprisonment rather than money the legislation would have more impact.

The problem seems to me to be is that the usual method of protesting, which is to hit denier of free speech in the pocketbook is not available against these media giants who have formed impenetrable monoliths within the social media world. people should withdraw from these media cites, dramatically reducing the numbers that they present, but that will not happen. It will take a governmental statute and agency to right the wrongs that these sites are creating, but that might be worse as a “cure.”

I would like to see Pamela Geller get a new social media site started that would have as its focus both truth and free speech. 27 pages of rules means that any rule that might be slightly crossed would be enough to punish you. That’s just another reason I’m not on Farce book.

The drop fakebook trend has already started. I’ve seen forums with FB and Disqus as alternative posting sites that had NO entries on the FB side and lots of activity on Disqus. Keep the trend going and watch Pigalosi’s dividends dwindle.

Facebook has chosen its company. They are authoritarian and dictatorial.
Facebook is becoming notorious for managing the news, and is now becoming so big that it will crowd out even the traditional main news outlets.
Chances are there will be alternate news sources, but many willing and able to be brain washed will continue their addiction to Facebook.

Not sure whether or not you are virtue signalling, but your personal tastes do not much matter. Facebook, Google etc are embeed into the social, commercial and even intellectual (such as it is) fabric of the USA and much of the rest of the world. They, or something similar, are here to stay for as long as our “hi-tech” society endures.
I wish Pamela had provided more facts. FB now has an appeal process (or perhaps it’s merely been announced). Has she made use of it? They have not made their “community standards” publicly avaiable- has she or anyone checked to see how what she posted is in violation of those standards?
This throttling of conservative expressions needs to end, and as much as I dislike anti-trust legislation (I suspect Pamela does too), if that it what it takes to stop this suppression of speech, so be it. FYI, that represents a change in my own thinking about this in the past year.

I saw that temp ban notice from FB 5 times in just over 2 years. Plus another dozen times for lesser periods, any where from 24 hours to a week. Finally, a couple months ago, after the 5th 30 day ban, I told them where they could put Jihadbook, as I call it. They blocked my IP. No more FB profiles, unless I want to pay for a VPN, which I don’t. FB isn’t worth it. Breitbart listed all the former Obama and Clinton staff members and flunkies now working for FB, earlier this month. There are a couple hundred of them. These are people in mid management. Who knows how many there are lower down. A lot. IF you even hint that Islam is a rotten flea bitten corpse, they will ban you now! Dr. Warner told me his website traffic is down 40% from 6 months ago. He calls it ‘shadow banning’.
IF people stop using FB, it will wither away! You CAN live without it!
