Jews are not safe in France, and Israelis, it seems, are not safe from the French.

French official in J’lem arrested over ‘serious’ security issue

French national employed by French consulate in Jerusalem suspected of arms smuggling, arrested on Gaza border

An employee at the French consulate in Jerusalem was arrested a few weeks ago by Israeli authorities and will appear in court for a “security” issue, sources close to the case said.

The French national, a man in his twenties, is due to appear before a court in southern Israel on Monday, they said.

The judge is expected to spell out the charges against him, the sources said, adding that they were “serious.”

Israeli authorities suspect him of arms trafficking, one of the sources said.

The man was arrested as he crossed the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip, which is ruled by the Islamist terrorist movement Hamas.

He held a series of roles for the French consulate, including that of driver, carrying out regular trips between Jerusalem and Gaza.

“We take this case very seriously and are in close contact with the Israeli authorities,” said a spokesman for the French Embassy in Tel Aviv.

“He has benefited and continues to enjoy the consular protection” provided to French nationals, said the spokesman without providing more details on the case.

The Israeli foreign ministry, justice ministry, intelligence agency and police declined to comment.

In 2013, a French consulate employee was detained after attempting to use an official vehicle to smuggle a large amount of gold, tobacco and checks into Israel from Jordan.

It is not enough for the french to actively persuade and encourage hatred and violence toward Jews in france, now they have to take their hated to Israel as well. There is no boundary to french hate.

Maybe typical left/liberal loon or jihadi .Anything less than death sentence is waste of time and money.

Hungary has been leading the fightback against the pro-jihadi mafia of Europe. They even expelled left/Liberal pro-jihadi ambassador http://bit.ly/2gh6A72

…for supporting the jihadi immigrants ! unheard of courage !

“He has benefited and continues to enjoy the consular protection” provided to French nationals, said the spokesman without providing more details on the case.

I infer from this that he lacks diplomatic immunity. Sucks to be you, dude- emjoy your companyfor the next 20 years.

And say, Foggy Bottom- better keep a close eye on the French.

Israel should put France on notice that if this piece of garbage is found to have committed the crimes leveled against him, that France will no longer have the privilege of maintaining an embassy in Jerusalem. Or in Israel period.

France would be a national security risk.

This report doesn’t surprise me.

France was the one nation that was nearly spineless when it came time for us (the US) to go into Iraq and take on Saddam Hussien. When we got there we found out why. After Desert Storm, we discovered that the French had sold weapons to Iraq! The French didn’t want us to know, and they didn’t tell us what we were up against!

France has been revolting since the French revolution.
I would guess the person has diplomatic immunity…

Trivia time!

Hamas is an acronym for “Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyya,” which is Arabic for “The Islamic Resistance Movement.”. It also has the literal meaning in Arabic of “zeal.”

Strangely, and appropriately, “hamas” also has a literal meaning in HEBREW – violence, ruthless, cruel and hatred.
The word “hamas” goes back to the Old Testament.

The Israelis have “Yamas” and the Hamas is in fear of them. Well, I would be.

Did you say “French”? It’s likely to be a couple of water pistols or those new-fangled foam guns.

Considering that France is now a muslim-dominated country, it would be a fair bet that the arrested official was a muslim, if not outwardly, at least a sympathizer.

His name is Romain Franck.

We have not learned of any conversion he may have had…
If not a convert, than we have a serious problem in EU.
The Far Left running guns with Muslim terrorists…
