HYPOCRITE: DeBlasio “Explains” Why Kids Kicked Out of Parks, And Thousands Can Protest

Good morning, Mr. Mayor,
You’ve been discussing equality a lot, and I’d like to ask you about another apparent inequality in the city.
During the past week, on multiple occasions, NYPD officers have expelled mothers and children from playgrounds in Brooklyn, while just a few blocks away on the same day, there were protests with hundreds of people.
How does it promote equality, Mr. Mayor, when protestors, who have already had nearly two weeks to be out in the street, are continually allowed to gather, while families – many are large families living in very small apartments, who have been shut in for months, and want to enjoy a hot summer day, are being expelled?
Answer:
Look, Reuvain, I appreciate the question. And this has been such a complex reality.
I think, again, several have asked this question, I do think the moment that this city, this nation has gone through in the last two weeks or so is something very particular, very painful, very intense, very challenging, but also a moment where literally decades and centuries of the demand for change came forward, and real change is happening as a result. And I don’t for a moment, Reuvain, I don’t lack compassion for those parents – I know it must be extraordinarily tough. I know parents are so frustrated. Look, for Chirlane and I with two kids, we often felt really challenged, even when we weren’t cooped up in a pandemic. So a family with four kids, six kids, seven kids, eight kids, nine kids, ten kids, I can only imagine how tough that is for the parents, and I want nothing more than to get them back to those playgrounds. It was one of the areas where I really tried my best to keep the playgrounds open. And if it hadn’t been for the growth of the pandemic we would have. But we had to at the time – this is something we worked on with the state – we had to get to the point of saying, look, out of an abundance of caution, the playgrounds just created too much of a risk to families, of the spread of the disease.
The day is coming – it’s not here yet – but the day is coming when we’ll be able to open up them again. We don’t have a timeline yet, it will be absolutely connected to how we do at fighting back the disease. I’ll have more to say on that when the right time comes. But I hope I have given you some sense of why I think the demonstrations were something absolutely unexpected, absolutely particular. But the ongoing effort to try and relieve the pressure of these families while still protecting against the resurgence of the disease – and this is the punchline, this is what matters, Reuvain: The last thing you want, or anyone wants, is a resurgence of this disease that then will lead to the restrictions being once again put back in place. We’re finally in Phase 1, a lot of those small-business owners that your publication and others have raised the concerns of, are finally starting to get back to work. They are a few weeks away from getting back to normal work, for example in retail stores. We have to hold the line as painful as it is, to not allow the spread of this disease so we can get back to that.

Ach, Yeah but she can’t walk in there alone. And anyway, I think Trump is letting this pot stew on purpose. Obviously, anarchists are poor at self-government. It is 100% mob rule in there, with all the stupidity on display. Free speech is forbidden, people are beaten up or worse for disagreeing in public. Rape and larceny are uncontrolled. Instead of self-organizing behavior, we see random, selfish criminal behavior, out of control. It all just proves how good the police really are. I have seen this myself close up before. It’s horrible, but it is a good lesson.

Once upon a very long time ago, very very long time ago) I enjoyed reading/studying political theory. On anarchism, I read all of Proudhon and Bakunin. I liked Bakunin, as he constantly slapped Karl Marx down at the International Club. He beat ol’ Karl like a big bass drum.
One thing that these anarchists have to learn …. No government means no government provided schools, housing, healthcare, or food. They can put that in their Social Justice Pipes and smoke it.

Yes, anarchists are the evil twin of libertarians. But libertarianism actually works quite well in simple rural societies. The entire American frontier was built that way. Greece has a real, influential, lasting anarchist movement with monthly periodicals and stuff. They are mostly psychopaths and other primitive character structures, living in a bizarre, impossible fantasy world, and they pass the fantasies on to succeeding generations of anarchists.

One must recall that the American frontier had no public housing, public (taxpayer funded) schools, taxpayer provided medical care or food …. Fire departments weren’t just volunteer, it was every man’s duty to assist, if there was one at all. And, in many villages, or areas, no taxpayer provided police force. Point of fact, most areas had no taxpayers.

Yeah it started out that way. But they scraped it all together, piece by piece. My grand uncle came to homestead on bald prairie, not a soul in sight. One day a man came walking up to his tent, carrying a shot gun. The man meant no harm though, and just asked to sell his gun so he could feed his fmaily. And that’s how may grand uncle came by that shotgun.

I make a goodly number of typographical errors. And, I realize that I should have put a space between “grand” and “uncle”, but that one was not on me, unless not putting in the space was the cause of changing uncle into father.

We have actually had it pretty easy until now, especially after the end of the Cold War. Imagine how scary it was for that young guy alone on that bald prairie. Everything had to go right, or he too would be selling stuff for food. But he lived long, and prospered.

You in America have already got “massive civil disobedience” and the insanity of it is that much of this “massive civil disobedience” is led by people who have poor education and are undisciplined rabble. What an irony that this “massive disobedience” is being allowed and supported by liberals who now show us graphically that liberalism produces a form of insanity and with it no regard for law and order, and true justice. Time and again I, a foreigner, have read about and heard about huge numbers of America’s black students falling out of school and not completing their education. I’ve read, from sane American blacks, about the violence in their homes and many growing up with violence, yet now it is the poorly educated, those brought up in violence and a low intellectual capacity who with mindless stupidity and cruelty are leading the ransacking of America, the looting, destroying and murders -18 within 24 hours in Chicago. This puts in perspective that Black Lives Matter racists really didn’t care much about George Floyd’s death other than it was to them a ‘good’ pretext to create chaos, to loot and destroy stores – and end up with few places to buy food.
Such ‘brilliance’ is remarkable. I can hear in my memory the words of black pastor, James Manning, mocking the stupidity of black looters and arsonists in America’s inner cities.
This disgusting chaos is being facilitated by liberal/Democrat mayors and governors who believe in nothing, thus don’t believe in God and thus have no standards or rules by which to live their shabby lives and themselves are just rabble. De Blasio is just a foul-mouthed fool, but let’s not forget that citizens voted him into office, just as they did Lori ‘lightweight’ Lightfoot in Chicago and other nincompoop mayors all over America.

I agree on some points, but a lot of Antifa types are educated. They hide behind the pawns (people who think this is about Floyd’s death) and lob bricks at the cops. Cops move up and the pawns get caught while the real instigators do not. The educated ones are starting things like violence, and then the uneducated follow along. “Oh look! They just happens to be some bricks right here!”

You’re most probably absolutely right with your final sentence. Exactly, the blatantly obvious conclusion based on the OTT destructive unnecessary lock down policies to the virus, adopted by the government, national & local here in Britain & in so many other European countries is that the authorities can no longer be trusted on just about anything. That has been further shown by the way they have deliberately issued falsely frightening statisitcs about Covid 19 to mislead the public & further their deceitful agenda for big corporate Davos set interests.
I would not rely on most of those politicians & officials to give me the time of day! One of the few bright spots to combat the disastrous official response has been the way people have formed community groups using the internet with churches or charities to aid the most vulnerable men & women who had to self-isolate, They have helped the elderly, handicapped & chronically ill by delivering food & other vital supplies, collected prescriptions, bringing their medication. It really has been an example of selfless human nature at its best.

The president did not shut down anything, other than restricting travel into the nation, from certain countries.
The forced shelter-in-place, or shut down orders, came from governors and mayors. Very little that the president could do.
It’s not simply Democrat Party governors. Look at Nohio’s (special emphasis upon the “No”) governor little mikki da-whiner. Last I checked, that thing is a Republican.

yes I know I have seen and it is ugly, you can visit an “empty” (soul-less) body.
But in the case of Biden, I hope Trump gets reelected but in case Biden won’t last long as President. We will have the fun to have him removed from office by his own cabinet.

His female VP will be President by February or March 2021

Actually it is NOT American history as within a decade(1789-1799) France became a dictatorship and then after Napoleon was finally deposed, the monarchy returned. The current republic of France was only established in 1892. Are you so keen to scalp someone?

Given the loan of a DVD set of the BBC production of the 17th century timed “3 musketeers” I thought that surely it would not be ruined by the “woke” disease. It must really have been tough for the DeBlasios raising two children in a mansion. So crowded. No where to move without bumping into one or both of them all the time, never mind the servants! So difficult. Makes those families with three or more children living in a small apartment, or any apartment, seem like a paradise.
The poor mayor. Helicoptering from home to work, doing so because it would not be fair to add another limousine to the late, late morning traffic. Probably having to do a school run for the children in the early, early afternoon on the way home after his run at the gym. Such a dutiful father, especially after a hard day of two or three long hours at work. Passing edicts is tough work! And then to go home to a crowded mansion of what, 30.000+ square feet? Just so distressing for the poor man.
I haven’t heard; how many acres of land does his place have to go out and walk about? Too bad he can’t go to a park to get some fresh air – he wouldn’t want to violate on of his own decrees. He has to suffer with his massive estate for exercise, walking around, and getting away from it all. It must feel really crowded with his armed security needed to keep the peasants away.
He lives such a tortured life. Such a saintly martyr.

My home state of NY is in big trouble and Democrats love it. Anything that can be placed on Trump is great. The weather is hit and people are tittered after riots and protests. Social distancing is garbage but liberal networks smile with glee about new virus numbers to maintain lockdown.
Major stores like Walmart, Target and 7-11 never closed but way to many businesses have closed. You can bet many will never reopen. We bent the curve but stores still closed till probably first week of July.
