Fox News cancels Lou Dobbs’ show; pro-Trump host not expected to be back on air

Fox News has canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” the program hosted by television’s staunchest supporter of Donald Trump and of his assertions of voter fraud in the 2020 election, The Times has learned.
Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.
Dobbs, 75, remains under contract at Fox News but he will in all likelihood not appear on the company’s networks again. In addition to his Fox Business Network program, he occasionally turned up on the Fox News Channel as a commentator.
The cancellation comes a day after voting software company Smartmatic filed a $2.7 billion defamation suit against Fox News and three of its hosts — Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro. The company claims the hosts perpetuated lies and disinformation about Smartmatic’s role in the election, damaging its business and reputation.

I’d bet his termination agreement has a clause that doesn’t allow him to work for a competing network till after a LONG period of time has passed to make sure reality isn’t on the news. I was never a fan of O’Reilly but he had one and that finished him off. Lou though, has a better reputation, but we need him NOW, not a year from now.

Lou will have no problem getting another job on one of the new more conservative websites. Should he be unable to do so, I’d bet his contract calls for his salary to continue for a period of time.
Voters really need to recognize how these Marxists have been very busy censoring or banning speech they don’t want Americans to hear. Ask themselves if that’s really the new way the left has limited their rights to have a free press rather than a Pravda state owned and run news where what they are allowed to hear.

What utter nonsense. There is no constitutional guarantee to be a news anchor. And “the left” had nothing to do with this. Dobbs had lost most of his advertisers and was partly responsible for the 2.7 billion dollar lawsuit filed by Smartmatic. Fox had every right to fire him.

Thanks to an article from Newsmax we now get to see the fourth corner of the 2020 Fox News motives: NEWSMAX – The parent company of Fox News has hired a former top aide to Joe Biden as its chief lobbyist in Washington.
On Tuesday the new Fox Corp., a spin-off of 21st Century Fox which just merged with Disney, became a standalone public company, controlling television assets such as Fox News and the Fox television network. Broadcasting & Cable reported that new Fox “hit the ground running on day one” with its Washington lobbying operation headed by Danny O’Brien, a well-known Democrat. O’Brien was brought on last October as executive vice president and head of government relations for the Fox Corp. Previously, he had served as Senator Joe Biden’s chief of staff and went on to head Biden’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Mike Lindell just released a two hour commercial free exposé of the cyber attack that invalidates the election. The Dominion lawsuit threat just got blown out of the water. Joshua Philipp, who hosts Crossroads, used to be my political nightcap. I’d put my ear plugs on and listen to what the latest was on the election fraud and fall asleep. I was hoping the imbecile could have been stopped. Now I listen to other things before I sleep that are more comforting, but I still watch him.
The EPOCH Times was founded by people who fled communism and are now legal U.S. patriotic citizens! They see what’s going on….and don’t want it either.
Joshua has great interviews. He has studied communism in depth. He plans on putting out a series on it. It’s so sad to see that taking hold in the U.S.. In my lifetime, I will not see our country turn around, if that is possible and I doubt that it is.

I never watch the TV news so I couldn’t care less, or any TV for that matter. It has always been an exercise in futility as lies, fiction and propaganda rule the day.
