Top GOP Congressman Says Trump’s Last Hope to Challenge Election Will ‘Go Down Like a Shot Dog’

Top Republican lawmakers in the Senate are breaking with President Donald Trump and are urging their colleagues in the House of Representative not to move forward with a last-ditch and almost certainly doomed effort to challenge the 2020 election results next month.
“In the Senate, it would go down like a shot dog,” South Dakota Sen. John Thune, the No. 2 Republican in the chamber, told CNN this week. “I just don’t think that it makes a lot of sense to put everybody through this when you know what the ultimate outcome is going to be.”
The party’s tug-of-war — over continuing to support Trump’s baseless election fraud claims and acknowledging President-elect Joe Biden’s victory — has been underlined in recent days, as leading conservatives begin to accept Trump’s defeat while others continue to support him.
Last Tuesday — 38 days after the race was called by the major media outlets and Biden delivered his acceptance speech — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recognized Biden as the president-elect for the first time in the wake of the Electoral College meeting and as Trump’s evidence-free legal challenges have failed, one by one. Various state recounts have also repeatedly confirmed Biden’s victory.
Meanwhile, however, a group of Republican representatives met with the president at the White House on Monday. There they reportedly discussed a plan to object to the Electoral College results during a Jan. 6 congressional meeting to officially count the electors’ votes showing Biden beat Trump 306-232.
These lawmakers cite claims of widespread fraud that have yet to be proven.

These are among the reasons I will NEVER!!!! contribute to the RNC or any Republican. While they have their hands out and grow rich I recall well losing my job in the early 2000s while both Republicans and Democrats were importing Hindus and Buddhists and Muslims to take American jobs. Thune, another Transrepublican. He thinks he’s a Republican, but really is a Democrat. It’s a hoot to recall Nancy Pigliosi claiming the Koch Brothers were helping Republicans. Their Americans for Prosperity were big advocates for more foreign workers. Trump was a billionaire and ran for office, most of Congress ran for office and became millionaires. Sadly all the RINO’s already know that GOP voters tolerate cowards otherwise there wouldn’t be so many of them and they wouldn’t keep getting re-elected.
You get what you allow and GOP voters allow RINO’s.
GOP voters need to grow a spine, re-take the RNC and start hard vetting candidates before allowing them to run in an election.
The Dems have infiltrated everything else so why wouldn’t they been in the upper levels of the RNC working against lazy, uninformed and uninterested GOP voters?

I haven’t voted for demmie’s or republican’s since the 70’s because they always had their hands out for money but never put their backside to work when the people were in need. They weren’t there when my father and brothers were in Nam while my mom had to work and worry whether her other 5 children were in school or playing hooky or what. Where were they when my brothers came home and had to endure being spit on and being called baby killers, etc. And then where were they when jobs were being given to foreigners instead the Vets whose college didn’t mean anything because no one wanted to let them in because, again, baby killers. Then here comes Trump who seems to be honest. He makes promises. Keeps most of them, but he has a Party that hates him. Why? Because he kept some promises and wanted to keep all of them, because he seems to care about the ‘little people’, the Americans who make up America, and they can’t stand him. So along comes the end of his 4 years and they’re about to toss him out and make nice with demmies and the commies. If we can see President Trump through this mess I still hope those assholes rot in Hell!

John Thune, favorite Senator of Hugh Hewitt. Hewitt probably helped Thune get elected more than anyone. I stopped listening to Hewitt in 2015. Trump seems to bring out the true Rinos and their lack of character and honesty.
