Barr labored to conceal Hunter Biden inquiries from public during election: Report

Attorney General William Barr reportedly worked to keep investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business affairs out of the public’s view during the 2020 election.
Story continues below advertisementA source told the Wall Street Journal that Barr knew since the spring about federal investigations centered in Delaware and Manhattan looking into Biden’s business and financial dealings. This was around the time his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
The news comes shortly after reports said Barr plans to stay at the Justice Department until President Trump’s term ends in January, tamping down speculation that he wants to step down early.
Neither inquiry is said to implicate the elder Biden, but Justice Department guidelines advise against overt investigatory actions that could disrupt an election. Still, Republicans have long called for investigations into Hunter Biden, and such a demand by Trump to Ukraine’s president even paved the way to impeachment.

In the final weeks leading up to the election, which Joe Biden won, there had been scarce reporting on federal investigatory action related to his son, but there was a great deal of coverage dedicated to the controversy surrounding Trump allies’ efforts to draw attention to Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and potential for the involvement of a foreign disinformation campaign.
The Justice Department did not return the Washington Examiner’s request for comment on the report.
In a statement shared in a Wednesday press release from the Biden transition team, which announced that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware reached out to Hunter Biden’s legal counsel the day before, the younger Biden said, “I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

This is only one part of it. The same of is true of Obama and the Clintons. We had better start an economic strategy against China yesterday. Yes, we must insist reparations in hard currency or release of the US Debt China holds that is approximately 25% of the US Debt. Frankly, this was very close to an act of war intentional or not. Their attitude through out has spoken volumes. They don’t give a hoot.

It wouldn’t have mattered. The Biden operatives would have kept the Xerox machines running for 2-3 more runs in each county and who gives a damn if that’s more people in the County. They would have had Dominion drop more Trump ballots into oblivion. If it doesn’t concern every American that Our election passed through Iran and China that some how Venezuela was involved then the Left truly did a brain=washing number.

Trump apparently was blind to the betrayal within the ranks of his counsel, especially, A.G. Barr being but one. Barr’s betrayal became more evident with the uncovering of Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with China and Ukraine.
Quoting Sgt Schultz of Hogan’s Heroes, “I see nothing, I hear nothing, and I say nothing,” encapsulates Barr’s betrayal to the President and the American People. However, the former was a TV comedy, while Barr’s concealment of major criminality is treason.
It makes me ponder Trump’s lack of insightfulness when hiring people such as AG W. Barr, numerous others who did not pan out or were perfidious. The said swamp expanded over the President’s four-year tenure, or so it seems. Many of the said swamp creatures were eye-to-eye with Trump while stabbing him in the back.

I don’t think the AG is supposed to tell the public about any ongoing investigations.
The MSM should be under investigation for ignoring a mountain of corruption on one side (D), and manufacturing the image of a mountain of corruption on the other side.
What if some of the folks in Congress are also under investigation? LOL

It’s been invested with them for decades…. we just didn’t know how pervasive and deep it was….It’s tough to win against this….and it’s generational…. I sure don’t have a monopoly on truth and have been fooled personally by the last people you would think would do that as well, but I didn’t want to believe this tsunami of corruption could be true either. They work together or take turns doing their jobs to sabotage Trump. It’s unnerving.

Felix you are so on target. I started grade school in the 50s and even then there were a few teacher who tried to imbue their World Government one people all equal in results philosophy ideas. They did tread lightly since at that time still had the Committee for Un-American Activities. However with the election of Kennedy and the elimination eventually of Joe McCarthy, the teachers I had in Chicago were more and more brave about there politics. Seeing my daughter grow up, if I went to her school with my wife to ask questions about her curricula we got the stares, pan voice, vague answers shown videos that didn’t answer our questions nor did the Vice Principal. They had no idea what our educational level might be and treated us like dummies. So we went maybe 3-4 times extra beyond open house but finally gave up. It’s a fortress to guard their teaching methods, philosophy, and ideology. I understand why when kids enter University they so susceptible to indoctrination by Leftist or Jihadist And Anti-American or Anti-West Professors It starts K-12 and Universities are finishing schools.

I think he has trouble accepting how rotten and corrupt people are. He might prefer to believe that’s not true and only a few bad apples. Our own government is over flowing with them. Obama went out of his way to seed our government with his own people as additional insurance that HIS agenda would continue.. That’s a fact. I recently saw an article on it.
The only people Trump can totally trust is his wife, his kids and Rudy. That’s it! His philosophy appears to be reaching out enough and they will come over to his side. Unfortunately that is not true in his political environment. In that political environment it’s obvious what these people are…. it’s just a matter of negotiating the price by the right person/organization. It’s been going on for decades!

Should president Trump retain his presidency (which is my great hope), how about appointing Sidney Powell as the AG and General Flynn as the director of the FBI? The president should give them the mandate to clean house and to prosecute all of the traitors, be they former or current elected officials or former or current government employees. When found guilty, their penalties should be the maximum that laws specify.

While Trump is the victim he is not totally free of blame for these problems.
There are thousands of attorneys who could have been interviewed for the job of AG.
There is nothing that says that the AG has to someone who was involved in politics in the past.
Trump won because he was NOT part of the swamp and he should have chosen his AG from a pool of people who were also NOT part of the swamp. It seems as if he is too trusting in people. It is hard to figure out why he chose someone so mired in the very swamp that we all want to see drained; just as he was too trusting in Tony Fauci and followed his advice for this absurd lockdown, mask mandates and social distancing. And now that this has NOT worked they are doubling down and DJT still has not given a supportive voice to anyone else – and Fauci still has diarrhea of the mouth. Yes Scott Atlas was there for 120 days but he got little to no support from the White House.

Sad to see AG Barr is deep in the hooks of friendship and maybe even pockets as well. He should have allowed the information on Hunter to be released as well as that of Joe. People would not have voted for Joe. And the mess of the elections would have been seen for what they are now FRAUD committed by just some Americans but outside sources as well.
