SCOTUS battle prompts threats, calls for arson: ‘Burn Congress down’

‘If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f—–g thing down.’

By | Fox News September 19, 2020

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, some verified Twitter users threatened arson and apparent violence in order to block Republicans from replacing her before the elections.

“If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f—–g thing down,” author Reza Aslan tweeted. He later responded to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s vow to hold a vote on President Trump’s nominee. “Over our dead bodies, literally,” he tweeted.

Author Aaron Gouveia similarly blasted McConnell’s statement, saying: “F–k no. Burn it all down.”

A Canadian political science professor called for arson, prompting accusations he made a terroristic threat. “Burn Congress down before letting Trump try to appoint anyone to SCOTUS,” Waterloo professor Emmett MacFarlane tweeted.

In response, Canadian attorney Ezra Levant worried about the consequences for MacFarlane’s students.

“Macfarlane is a professor at @UWaterloo, promoting violence against his political enemies,” he said. “If you were a young woman in his class who was a Trump supporter, would you risk being a target of his violent rage if he found out about you? Should you transfer to a different class?”

Ginsburg’s death came just weeks before the presidential election and opened the opportunity for Republicans to dramatically shift power on the Supreme Court by confirming another conservative justice. Democrats have long criticized McConnell, R-Ky., of hypocrisy given his previous refusal to hold a vote on Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland before the 2016 elections.

McConnell has maintained, however, that Garland’s confirmation was unique in that the Senate and executive branch were controlled by different parties. That isn’t the case in the wake of Ginsburg’s death.

The incredibly high stakes prompted what appeared to be panicked reactions from many on Twitter. Writer Beau Willimon threatened: “We’re shutting this country down if Trump and McConnell try to ram through an appointment before the election.”

A member of Wisconsin’s ethics commission, Scott Ross, ordered Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., to “burn it all down” if he couldn’t stop McConnell. “F—–g A, Ed. If you can’t shut it down, burn it down,” he said.

WHITE HOUSE SAYS BIDEN NEEDS TO RELEASE SUPREME COURT LIST

Other tweets didn’t contain violent threats but indicated opponents wouldn’t take Ginsburg’s replacement lying down.

“If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be riots,” warned GQ writer Laura Bassett.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld responded to the controversy by criticizing anyone who might mock people for worrying about political terrorism.

“[L]eftists promise violence and ‘burning it all dow'” if they don’t get what they want. Then their enablers in media mock you for worrying that there might be violence and ‘burning it all down’ when the leftists don’t get what they want,” Gutfeld said.

As obimbo was oft to say, “Elections have consequences”.

And, the Executive Branch and the Senate majority are results of elections.

I say, shoot anyone that stands between the people and appointing a new Justice.

They want to burn. I want to shoot. Who ya think’ll kill more?

It is going to come down to shooting in the long run, Moe. The pussies of BLM, ANTIFA, and their boss, the Democrats will be in want of a diaper change.

Well… if you shoot them just before they are able to throw their Molotov cocktails then you get a bit of both. They can burn after you shoot them and if one is keeping score, they’ll be 1-0 with no property damage! 😉

Send in the National Guard in sufficient numbers to outflank, surround and arrfest all the rioters. No catch and release. Use lethal force when they throw pyrotechnics and hard objects.

Unless martial law is declared or the president utilizes the Insurrection Act, it takes a state’s governor to call out the National Guard.

BSGs have been reluctant to do that for political gain and avoidance of loss. But now they realize that this is a #LawAndOrderElection and some may consider it. Conditions are ripe for invocation of the Insurrection Act.

If the American electorate is so feckless in tolerating the Democrats’ never-ending abandonment of the Republic’s Constitution, the Republic is doomed. If the voters can not see or foresee the betrayals occurring before their eyes, the nation will go into free-fall. The Ginsberg issue is but one of a myriad of reasons the Democrats and their feral hordes continue spreading fear, terror-mongering, and unbridled rioting upon its cities, states, and governance. These are not idle threats, as nothing is idle when it comes to the faux-Democrats’ seditionist intents. The overseer of America’s ongoing threat is no other than Barack Obama, George Soros, and their lap-dogs.

The cries to burn down congress is sedition; there are no ifs or buts. There was a time; one can not recall the time when such betrayal would be deemed treasonous and indictable. The Democrats hijacking the nation, its unfettered attacks on the Republic encapsulates betrayal. Ginsberg, the darling of the Leftists, is a mere excuse to expand the atrocities, terror-mongering, rioting by the wild-eyed racists, anti-American thugs, and terrorists of BLM, ANTIFA, and the spurious Democratic Party. The MSM has propagated fake-news to the naive, the gormless, and true believers without rebuke; it differs not from that of Nazi Germany or the now-defunct USSR. One does not need access to a crystal ball to predict a Civil War, as it has already begun.

People cannot see it if the news media does not televise it. And they have no way of knowing who is doing it if the news media has the right to put whatever spin on it that they choose.

I fully agree that each and every one of these high profile authors and personalities should be arrested tout suite. But I think the FBI is responsible for doing that and they are too busy learning about diversity and inclusion and writing apologies for being born White.

Indeed, the brainwashed get news from traditional broadcasters, there are alternatives, however. Methinks, we agree on all counts. The MSM is a treasonous enterprise ans in the back pocket of the Democrats and the entirety of the radical-Left. I, for one, have no faith in the FBI, and others agencies.

Take care, Creole, stay safe and healthy.

It’s also better to have a gun with ammunition rather than a gun without any. Which is what I think is going to happen to a lot of first-time gun buyers right now, cuz there’s very little ammunition to be had for the common calibers.

It’s a good thing I reload, plus a little hoarding here and there, which I think explains the shortage.

As far as ammunition is concerned the shelves at Midway look pretty bare like everyone else’s. It seems to me, anecdotally speaking, that this is the worst ammunition shortage that I’ve seen in the last 15 years. And I think it says significant things.

Since we don’t have a Midway store, I order from them online. The cupboard is bare at Academy here, so they’re history.

Midsouth Shooters Supply in TN is reliable, but require patience because their process time is longer than usual.

I have ordered from Midway multiple times, just got a couple of things a few weeks ago. In stock ammo there is virtually nonexistent in the popular calibers. Ditto for Midsouth Shooters Supply. There are a number of very reliable ammo suppliers online, but if they can’t get ammo, they can’t sell it. I don’t need any, but I like to keep up with the market. And the market says a lot of people are anticipating some bad times.

Laura Bassett,’there will be riots” Really laura? I do hope someone is not employing you, your opinion, iii this s this a sample of it, is simply not worth paying for. The only ray of light I see in your offensive, and possibly terrorist related remarks is that your masters are planning on a hiatus of the existing riots and burning. However, you are about to figure in the final prophetic utterances given to mankind; check it out Laura, you and your destructive ilk will be witness to all this, in fact the following is happening as we speak. Revelation 9:2 the 1st thing the fallen angel does when given permission by G.d to return the world to chaos is to create such a smokescreen that it obscurates any heavenly light or wisdom whatsoever, including common sense and basic decency; globally! The events that follow is agony and torment beyond anyone’s imagination, verse 5 .but not of the faithful Verse 4. Is this what you think a good thing Laura?,you will be on the receiving end.For anyone wondering, who are the untouched by this? Read Revelation 12:17
Moral to the story Laura Bassett? G.d protects His people, The destroyer simply uses them then discards them.

Laura Bassett? Emmett MacFarlane?

Who are these people, and why does anyone care what they say, do, or think?

Reza Aslan, granted, has a degree of notoriety, on the margins, and may exercise a malign influence.

The larger problem, however, is that these people, and many more like them, represent a vast cadre of malcontents: mostly young, white, and often female, they’re determined to crate havoc.

The little we have seen of them, in the particular, suggests that many are frustrated; personality disorders are not uncommon, criminal histories are, and of course, they suffer from a general ignorance that underscores their attitudes.

Blacks, on the other hand, who riot and loot, present a different set of difficulties.

We can take some comfort in the fact that at the federal level, at least, efforts are underway to bring down the hammer.

It can’t be soon enough.

Antifa and BLM have been rioting and attacking ppl in universities since the inauguration. If Trump had stopped him sooner I feel we could have avoided all this , or at the very least if he just unleashed the military on these cowards and shake them up a bit as soon as they started protesting over that piece of Crap George Kirby, then maybe it would would have at least slowed them down if not stop them all together. Now these spoiled brat millennials got a taste of this petty power and are emboldened by the lack of response. I believe they have to have physical damage inflicted upon them. I believe that’s the only way now. This is war and we would probably respond this way if it was a foreign invading army anyway. I think these people are much worse though. True Cowards. If any died, the world will be a much better place.

Appointing a SC Justice is a duty of the President – and he has been proactive in this as he is in so many other things.
Evaluating a SC appointment is a duty of the Senate.
Attempts to forbid our leaders to perform their duties, or directing them as to when or how to perform them, is way beyond citizen rights.

Rioting was causing Joe to drop in the polls, so Democrats in Congress, the media, I think even Joe, were calling for an end to rioting.
Do they think they need more rioting now?
More likely they’ll have giant rallies in Washington DC, New York, Chicago.
It could be ther’ll be more rioting, especially when or if Trump makes an appointment.
