Yep, Fauci lied: Internal documents show NIAID directly funded Wuhan Lab bat viruses

Published in Blog on September 08, 2021 by Article V Patriot

Liberty-loving Americans following the Fauci-Wuhan Lab scandal knew this was true, but now we have proof.

According to a bombshell report from The Intercept, Dr. Anthony Fauci's agency directly funded bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Lab. In testimony before Congress, Fauci adamantly denied funding the lab that gave us COVID-19, but these documents show that he appears to have lied.

National Review breaks down the shocking (or not so shocking) revelation:

Newly released documents appear to contradict Dr. Anthony Fauci’s repeated claims that the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

The internal documents detail the work of EcoHealth Alliance, an American research non-profit which used NIH funding to research novel bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab. Among the documents, which were obtained by The Intercept through a Freedom of Information Act request, is a previously unpublished EcoHealth Alliance grant proposal filed with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, which is run by Fauci.

The proposal requests $3.1 million for a project titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” which involved screening thousands of lab workers for novel bat coronaviruses. The grant was awarded for five years, from 2014 to 2019, and was subsequently renewed before being suspended by the Trump administration. The proposal directs $599,000 of the total grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for research designed to make the viruses more dangerous and/or infectious — and its author acknowledged the danger associated with such work.

“Fieldwork involves the highest risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs, while working in caves with high bat density overhead and the potential for fecal dust to be inhaled,” it read.

After reviewing the documents, Gary Ruskin, executive director of a group probing COVID’s origins called U.S. Right to Know, told the Intercept that the grant was a “road map to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic.”

This might not surprise you, but there are millions of Americans who still trust Dr. Fauci and the federal government to get us through this pandemic. These Americans aren't radical socialists--they're simply content to let Washington solve our nation's biggest problems.

Stories like this should disabuse them of that wishful thinking. The federal government can't solve our problems. The bureaucratic state, which also controls the military's response in Afghanistan, is woefully incompetent. It's too big, too corrupt, and too invested in its continued existence to respond effectively to our most serious threats.

We must decentralize power and shrink the Deep State before they drag our nation into oblivion, and our most powerful tool is an Article V Convention of States.

A Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to limit the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government. These amendments can shrink some federal agencies and eliminate others altogether.

Do you ever wonder why we need a Centers for Disease Control, a National Institutes of Health, and a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease? Here's a hint: we don't. Federal bureaucrats live for nothing more than the continuation and propagation of the Deep State. They'll create a new agency for no good reason, staff it with their friends, and use our hard-earned taxpayer dollars to pay for the entire thing.

It's time to put them back in their place. It's time to limit federal power and spending, and we can do it with a Convention of States.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
