I love so many Czech beads & it's hard to say which is my favorite. Recently I've been using q lot of Twins & SuperDuos, but have just ordered some Rizo beads for a design idea I have (hope it turns out the way it looks in my mind) as well as some lentils. I've just started a beaded kumihimo using drop beads, & always use seed beads in a variety of sizes. The new Z beads look intriguing & the dagger beads are on my wish list.
I love the concept of simple beadwork as I like quick projects. So I am looking forward to your tutorials. I like teardrops and rounds in Czech beads but these beads that you have used are really unique and eyecatching
I love the diversity of color and shape of Czech beads - leaves, flowers or drops would be very welcome :) And I am looking forward to the basic tutorial that involves seed beads and filigree base!
Very pretty beads. I like using 2-3mm round beads for making cluster earrings, blues and greens are my favorite. Thanks for the contest suebakus@telus.net

I love so many kinds of Czech beads that it's hard yo narrow it down to a few! I just finished a bracelet with their orchid leaf beads. Love these new ones!
I LOVE Czech glass beads! Count me in. Which are my favorites? That's impossible. Druks, fire polish, seed beads, drops, they're all so versatile. I just used some beautiful twisted ovals for a necklace order so I think that's my favorite, for today anyways.
Love all of these beads! Posted your giveaway on my Pinterest giveaway/Contest board http://www.pinterest.com/pin/365987907192589257/ and I am a blog follower.
I don't want to enter the contest because it would be sheer greed - haven't had time to use all the stuff I have. But I had to comment on the fantastic job you did using those pip beads. You have such a wonderful sense of style. I especially like the design of the earrings. Wonderful job of showcasing the product.
I too love Czech beads, especially the metallic and pearl luster. What a fantastic idea for beading on pierced metal. can't wait to start a project on some over sized metallic filigrees I ordered that were larger than I needed for a project and have been waiting for inspiration! Would LOVE to win!
It is serendipitous for me, I've been using the filligree findings as bases for some of my work as well, and it works so well too! These lovely beads would be put to use right away, lol!I am going to check out "Best Beads" online today, thanks for the tip! Czech beads are incredibly varied and versatile which makes them popular among beaders. They are made by a number of Czech manufacturers mainly in the Jablonec region. Best Beads is a Czech supplier of many types of these beads - they offer special discounts for volume buys. They recently sent me Preciosa Pip™ beads for review.
These beads are petal shaped and side drilled at the top. They are not as pointy like dagger beads. The color finishes are beautiful as you can see below. Metallic, pearl luster and mottled effects were found in the beads I received. Just gorgeous!
Although I considered making some wire work projects, Pip beads are really too wonderful for bead work to pass up on. So I made a beaded cabochon pendant using two of the gold tone beads at the bottom.
Fellow members of the Grand River Bead Society will recognize the bezel cabochon part as well as the moss stitch as the project we did with Stephanie Dixon back in October. When I took it home, I made it oval and off centered the cabochon. The use of double layered pip beads was inspired by some of the designs in Linda Landy's Textured Bead Embroidery book which I reviewed recently.
Sharp eyed beaders may have noticed I did not use a beaded bail. So tune in later this week on the tip/tutorial on how to add a jump ring bail to beaded cabochon pendants.
Beading was my first love and I wish I had more time to devote to it. If you are in a perpetual time crunch like me, then consider light beading projects! My Pip bead flower earring designs below are based on the idea that the stiff foundation typically used in bead embroidery could be replaced with metal filigrees! Fast beading indeed! The basic tutorial for this can be found here.
