The Department of Justice sent a memo to prosecutors Wednesday saying it could send armed agents to ballot-counting locations to investigate potential voter fraud, The New York Times reported.
While federal law prohibits armed troops or law enforcement from stationing at any place an election is held unless force is determined “necessary,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) believes the law allows agents to station at places that are counting votes following the election, three unnamed officials familiar told The New York Times.
“[The statute] does not prevent armed federal law enforcement persons from responding to, investigate, or prevent federal crimes at closed polling places or at other locations where votes are being counted,” senior DOJ official Richard P. Donoghue’s message to prosecutors comes as the 2020 presidential election remains undecided, according to Decision Desk HQ. Key battleground states Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona have been contested since Tuesday. (RELATED: Trump Launches Last-Ditch Legal Effort In 4 States)
President Donald Trump’s campaign has filed lawsuits related to vote tallies in multiple states. Trump has tweeted several allegations of voter fraud in swing states, many of which have been flagged by Twitter.
“Elections are a state matter, and we have authority as state officials over anyone trying to enter locations where ballots are being counted,” Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey told The Times. “Anything else is a radical reinterpretation of the law. States can handle elections, and we will ensure the people decide the outcome.”
Vanita Gupta, the former acting head of the DOJ Civil Rights Division said the email might be a “messaging tactic” from Attorney General William Barr, according to The Times.
“Lawfully, the Justice Department can’t interfere in the vote count, enter polling places or take ballots, even in the course of an investigation,” Gupta told The Times.
The DOJ didn’t immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

No wonder good ole Joe “feel[s] good about where we are” in terms of the election results. He knew he could count on the cadres to raise the dead back to life and summon jinns from the spirit realm to do his bidding.
Democrats appear likely to prevail n this presidential election due to fraud, and many Dems have made clear they are quite content with that. Once again, I hope the courts require a new election in jurisdictions where fraud is likely a determinant of outcome. Unfortunately, I gather that is a remote possibility.

Slow motion Barr reacts after a lot of damage has been done. Barr can do more than that. Why doesn’t Barr notice that MORE people voted than are registered in battle ground states? Doesn’t he have anything to say about that?

Now Mohandjob, you know Fat Willy has no time for silly pursuits like overseeing ballot-counting and the like. He’s just too busy making the necessary upgrades to the DOJ cafeteria and menu. You can’t expect a man of his caliber to make such important national decisions on a nutritional deficit.

I’m having a difficult time understanding this. The election was held November Third. Today is the Fifth of November. Almost all of the ballots, including the fraudulent ones, have been counted.
And, NOW Fat Willy is considering actually doing something with his DOJ?

I believe Barr will take action, but he is waiting. For 2 reasons. 1) pretty much everybody, even some Democrats, see what is going on is fraud and letting some time go by to massively expose this corruption to the public….makes it more likely that the public will support him when he does go after him. And 2) the reason why Barr hasn’t done anything yet, is because of a technical reason. By law, the DOJ can’t act on suspected election fraud until 10 days after the election.
So I predict at around Nov 13 or 14…..you will see DOJ action on this matter and the Feds will be involved.

When ballots have been turned in, approved, and counted …. there is no name to cross-reference whether the ballot was actually a legal ballot or not. No name is placed upon the ballot. It is called a “secret ballot” for a reason.
It’s FAR too late for the DOJ to do a bloody thing.
