Supreme Court orders Pennsylvania Democrats to respond in ballot dispute

The Supreme Court ordered Pennsylvania Democrats to respond by Thursday evening in a case challenging the state’s three-day extension for counting mail-in ballots. President Trump has moved to intervene in a lawsuit brought by Pennsylvania Republicans, arguing the state’s Democratic Party and Secretary of State violated the law by extending the time for counting mail-in ballots to Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., despite the state legislature setting the deadline as Election Day.

Republicans and Trump had enough opportunity to prevent such large scale voter fraud by using E.O to put limits and restrictions to prevent “voter fraud and ensure fair elections” . Even if challenged in courts it can be upheld as much worse E.O by obummer was supported by SC

Trump can not EO that. He has limits or what he can EO.
The Supreme Court wrongly decided on this and the lower court prevailed. With Amy Barrette there, they now have nine Justices so maybe this will be stopped.

John Roberts was once again the deciding vote, joining with the three liberal justices. Here is the Associated Press:
The Supreme Court will allow Pennsylvania to count ballots received up to three days after the election, rejecting a Republican plea.
The justices divided 4-4 Monday, an outcome that upholds a state Supreme Court ruling that allowed election officials to receive and count ballots until Nov. 6, even if they don’t have a clear postmark.
Republicans, including President Donald Trump’s campaign, have opposed such an extension, arguing that it violates federal law that sets Election Day as the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November and that such a decision constitutionally belongs to lawmakers, not the courts.
Chief Justice John Roberts joined with the three liberal justices to reject Pennsylvania Republicans’ call for the court to block the state court ruling.
Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas would have required the state to stop accepting absentee ballots when the polls close on Nov. 3.
There were no opinions accompanying the order, so it is impossible to say what motivated either group of justices.
The conservative justices have been reluctant to allow court-ordered changes to voting rules close to an election.

In case people just don’t get it, John Roberts is a communist infiltrator, as are many of the justices. His actions are base on his commitment to the “cause,” not justice.

Amit, I think you are overstating the case. Despite Trump having to fight the COVID headwinds- some of which I do think were of his own making- the GOP ;did not do too badly in 2020: it was far from the Big Blue Wave that the enemedia and Big Tech promoted. At least for two years, Biden-Harris (will Joe last even that long?) will not be able to pack the Supreme Court, or admit Puerto Rico and that pantheon to Big Government known as Washington DC as states.
I predict Joe, in the time he serves himself (and Hunter) as POTUS, will be revealed to all as the dementia patient that he is. And when Harris assumes the Oval Office, I think Americans will realize what a lousy person and lousy leader she is- Obama without the charm.
As long as the rules of the road are not indelibly altered, the GOP will bounce back.

No offense intended, but how?
For as long as socialist democrats control the machinery of elections, traditional Americanism doesn’t have a chance.
Since 2016 I have been more concerned with election reform, i.e. citizen-only voter registration, elimination of absentee (mail-in) voter fraud, polling place integrity, verification of one voter-one ballot counting, elimination of ballot “harvesting,” et al, than I have any issue that might have come before the congress.
In first two years after 2016, when Republicans held the house, they had a chance and totally blew it.

For an Election in which the Republicans held the Senate (so far) and added Republican seats to the House of Representatives, how is it that the Republican President could be losing? Doesn’t make any sense to me.
