Nevada Democrat Governor Fines Banned Church For Holding Service In Opened Casino

Would the Democrats fine or ban a mosque? The Democrats have defined themselves as militantly anti-Christian and anti-Jewish.

Nevada Governor Fines Banned Church For Holding Service In Opened Casino

By Tristan Justice, The Federalist, August 12, 2020:

Nevada’s Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak has decided that people cannot worship in casinos when he’s closed their churches.

Earlier this month, a Nevada casino was fined $250 for holding an “Evangelicals for Trump” church services even though the governor’s order prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people in houses of worship also allowed casinos to operate at 50 percent capacity.

The group gathered at the Ahern Hotel and Convention Center and followed a strict set of safety protocols for an event headlined, “Evangelicals for Trump: Praise, Prayer and Patriotism.” Even though the service was held at a casino that complied with the governor’s order, Sisolak punished and condemned the gathering.

“I was deeply disheartened and dismayed to see the callous and dangerous behavior displayed last night in Las Vegas at a campaign event for President Trump,” Sisolak wrote on Twitter the day after. “I am equally dismayed that the campaign and business defied the State of Nevada emergency directive which limits public gatherings to 50 people or fewer.”

https://twitter.com/GovSisolak/status/1291831052952940545?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1291831052952940545%7Ctwgr%5E&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2020%2F08%2F12%2Fnevada-governor-fines-banned-church-for-holding-service-in-opened-casino%2F

The governor’s proclamation was subject to a challenge in July when another Nevada church appealed lower court rulings. The U.S. Supreme Court denied a request for an injunction, with all Republican-appointed justices but for Chief Justice John Roberts voting in dissent featuring a one-page minority opinion by Trump-appointed Justice Neil Gorsuch.

“In Nevada, it seems, it is better to be in entertainment than religion,” Gorsuch wrote. “Maybe that is nothing new. But the First Amendment prohibits such obvious discrimination against the exercise of religion. The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges. But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

I don’t think governors have any authority to dictate where and when people can gather. Time to tell them to stick it.

What this Governor did IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, but these putz’ know that few people will challenge them.

I THINK IT IS TIME FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, THE GOOD ONES, TO UNITE AND SUE THESE LIBERAL DEMONIC PEOPLE.

Our state legislature in Pa voted – bipartisanly – to end Governor Wolf’s emergency powers. A liberal court overruled it. They’ve done nothing since.

And that is why the ministers of these churches should simply open their doors and hold the services in open defiance of the government.

I should also be a time for POTUS to step up and point this out and for someone to raise this question. It is not limited to religious services. It involves these mask mandates as well as the social distancing mandates. People who fear going out in public should do what they have always done in the past – stay home!

No, but John Roberts has made himself the authority on whether your first amendment can be stolen from Christians.

Well well well, talk about making your intentions clear. The governor has certainly made the next court case simple to prove up. The only rub is was this a campaign rally or a Church gathering? I hope they found time for Yeshua as well…

Oh Boo Hoo For You: Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan Fights Recall Battle
https://www.theepochtimes.com/seattle-mayor-jenny-durkan-takes-recall-battle-to-washington-supreme-court_3461656.html
Democrats are poor at consequential thinking. Mayors who create shhthole cities experience consequences.

“Seattle’s embattled mayor late Thursday filed an appeal to Washington’s Supreme Court, asking it to intervene in an effort to recall her. Mayor Jenny Durkan, a Democrat, “respectfully seeks review” of two previous decisions by King County Superior Court Judge Mary Roberts… Roberts twice in recent weeks let a petition seeking to recall Durkan move forward, though she dismissed six of the seven charges filed against the mayor.

Petitioners say Durkan endangered the city by repeatedly violating her duties under state law, including when she “wrongfully disallowed” property rights by permitting occupiers to take over a section of Seattle in June before finally ordering the occupation cleared after several deadly shootings.”

Hm, this is an opportunity people for you Navadans to grab up you Pitch Foks, Guns,Rope and Torches and march on the State Capital since your so called Governor has decalred that Nevada is no longer a part of the United States of America. What say You Nevadans ????

Sadly no.

It should be clear to everyone by now, that government is now actively engaged in restricting religious freedoms. Especially Christians. How many Mosques have been told they can’t worship or assemble for prayer during this period.

Not just that, santashandler. How many funerals could not be held, due to the tyrannical mandates of governors? But, a couple of negroes die, such as St. Floyd the Gang Rapist and John Lewis the Terrible, and how many funerals were held for them …. and how many were in attendance, in closed in-door spaces for said funerals.

Covid-19 for thee, but not for me.

Cosmic justice would levy revenge by striking down (or at least infecting!) at least half of those bleeding-heart libtards who attended those funerals! When there is another outbreak of Covid cases in a week or so, maybe we should trace if the infected attended any of those funerals!!

Achmed Mohandjob

The “tracing” of anything to those funerals will NOT be done. One only has to consider that the mayor of NYNY told “contact tracers” to not ask if any had attended the blm riots. Moreover, if the tracers were told of any riot activity, they were not to record it.

When this was first posted I stated that I was disappointed that the minister chose to play this game rather than simply announce that he would hold services anyway in defiance of the government. And I think this proves my point! What did they gain from this stunt of holding services in a Casino? They should have gone into the church and held their services there in open defiance of the government. The optics would have been wonderful.

This is how the Civil Rights war was won. It was not by pussy footing around the laws. It was by openly defying immoral laws and that is what needs to be done again. You have to be willing to risk an arrest and a police confrontation. And you need a cameraman.

I wonder how much the casinos contribute to the ” Gov ” Judeo/Christian principles/ideology are a cornerstone of Western civilization as well as this country – what better way to undermine and eventually destroy this country than to remove that cornerstone? Founding Fathers stated the Constitution only works/applies to a GOD FEARING PEOPLE –

Gather for church anyway. Force the “states” hand. Let the LEO’s roar in with guns drawn, hands full of zip ties. They do not have enough guts to arrest everyone. Make sure you have foaming at the mouth rabid lawyers ready to sue for violation of civil rights. Sue everyone in site. Are we just rolling over? Wringing our hands? Just think when Trump is reelected in November. IT WILL NOT GET ANY BETTER. In fact they are starting to get tired of just burning and looting. It is beginning to turn into blood lust. They are going to move to the suburbs steal, loot and murder.
