Over 80,000 mail-in ballots disqualified in NYC primary mess

Imagine that. And this happened under the complete control of the the Democrat party of treason — they own this corrupt city — all the way back to Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall.

NYC is a cesspool of left-wing autocracy.

Imagine when the Democrat insurgents take this nationwide.

Over 80,000 mail-in ballots disqualified in NYC primary mess

One out of four mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or failing to include a voter’s signature, or other defects.

The mail-in ballots of more than 84,000 New York City Democrats who sought to vote in the presidential primary were disqualified, according to new figures released by the Board of Elections.

The city BOE received 403,103 mail-in ballots for the June 23 Democratic presidential primary.

But the certified results released Wednesday revealed that only 318,995 mail-in ballots were counted.

That means 84,108 ballots were not counted or invalidated — 21 percent of the total.

One out of four mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or failing to include a voter’s signature, or other defects. The New York Post reported Tuesday that roughly 30,000 mail-in ballots were invalidated in Brooklyn alone.

MAIL-IN VOTING FACES SLEW OF ISSUES NATIONWIDE, AS EMERGENCY USPS MEMO SOUNDS ALARM

The high invalidation rate provides more proof that election officials and the Postal Service were woefully underprepared to handle and process the avalanche of mail-in ballots that voters were encouraged to fill out to avoid having to go to the polls during the coronavirus pandemic, critics said.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order to make it easier to vote by mail-in or absentee ballot. The state also footed the bill by providing pre-paid envelopes for voters to mail the ballots.

“A 26 percent invalidation rate is astounding. It’s very troubling,” said Arthur Schwartz, who represented several candidates in a federal lawsuit claiming voters were disenfranchised over the BOE and Postal Service’s handling of ballots.

GOP DEFEATS TAXPAYER-FUNDED MAIL-IN BALLOTS IN FLORIDA

A federal judge ruled Monday that thousands of voters were disenfranchised because of the tardy mailing and processing of the ballots.

The mess included votes not being counted because the pre-paid ballot envelopes were not postmarked.

Manhattan Judge Analisa Torres ordered that ballots received by June 25 be counted, though the state Board of Elections said it is appealing the ruling.

Aside from tardy mailings and processing, Schwartz said scores of ballots were tossed out because the voters failed to sign the interior envelope that came with it.

But he said it wasn’t the voters’ fault.

“The envelope with directions for the signature was so poorly designed,” Schwartz said.

Doug Kellner, co-chair of the state Board of Elections, agreed with the criticism.

“The invalidation rate is higher than I would have predicted,” Kellner told The Post.

Meanwhile, the embattled BOE found itself mired in controversy again after emails obtained by The Post show the agency blew off Kellner, who proposed reforms to prevent another absentee balloting nightmare in November.

His six-page proposal urged city BOE officials to ensure proper staffing at polling places during the November election to ensure lines are no longer than 30 minutes; to tally absentee ballots more quickly than the six weeks it took to certify results from the primary; and to plan for processing “double or triple” the number of absentee applications.

“Add new capacity to process the applications in a timely manner now. Do not wait for a backlog from which you can never recover,” Kellner said.

City lawyers admitted in Manhattan federal court last week that they were still mailing absentee ballots the day before the June primary, leaving little chance they could reach voters in time.

Kellner’s memorandum even suggested that city election administrators should apologize for the mess.

“To those voters who did not have an opportunity to cast their ballots in the primary election, we should apologize for not doing more,” he wrote. “Elected officials and others warned that we were not deploying sufficient resources to mail out absentee ballots in a timely manner, and in hindsight, we could have done more to address the problem.”

NYC relocations accelerating at ‘substantial’ pace, local movers say
Moving experts say they have not been able to keep pace with demand

By Brittany De LeaFOX Business 8/7/20

By July 15 Oz Moving was booked to capacity for the remainder of the month, and while it is always busy over the summer, 2020 marked the first time in 27 years the company was unable to take on additional jobs so early on.

According to the most recent data from United Van Lines, between May and July there was a 95 percent year over year increase in interest in moving out of Manhattan. That compares with a 19 percent increase in moving interest in the U.S., overall.

The top destinations for people who moved out of New York City between March and August were Florida and California – which together comprised 28 percent of relocations. Texas and North Carolina made up 16 percent of moves.

Cuomo’s begging wealthy New Yorkers to stay while DeBlazio is saying they don’t need them!

De Blasio suggests Cuomo is wrong to ask New York City’s wealthy to return, says residents shouldn’t buy cars
By Morgan Phillips | Fox News 8/6/20

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Thursday suggested that Gov. Andrew Cuomo was wrong to call on wealthy New Yorkers to return to the city amid the coronavirus pandemic and an uptick in crime.

The Democrat also threatened to tax the wealthy even further if the federal government does not do more to assis

De Blasio said the city was tracking those who’d left. He acknowledged the recent uptick in crime, but said it was “directly related to coronavirus.” He said the crime situation would soon “turn around” as the New York Police Department (NYPD) is deploying new strategies and because “summer will be over soon.”

“To the point of the folks out in the Hamptons… we don’t make decisions based on a wealthy few,” de Blasio said. “I was troubled to hear this concept.”

De Blasio during his press conference also advised New Yorkers against buying a car. “My advice to New Yorkers is don’t buy a car, cars are the past, future is mass transit, biking, hiking,” the mayor said. “Going forward I will never buy a car again.”

Cuomo on Tuesday had urged wealthy New Yorkers to return to Manhattan to assist the city with the financial burden caused by the pandemic, saying coronavirus is now “under control.”

Thousands of apartments were vacated as the wealthy fled the city during the pandemic to seek refuge in places such as the Hamptons and Connecticut.

Fox News reporter Ben Evansky at the press conference brought up Cuomo’s concerns, asking: “Is the city keeping track of how many residents have left since the pandemic and the crime wave?”

Cuomo won’t buy a car again. Hmmm, don’t the taxpaying citizens of NY state provide him with a gubernatorial limo? Maybe even a private plane?

They get it all for free and then some courtesy of taxpayers.
The team of armed 24/7 protection is especially galling.

Resist and obstruct to delay: — This is the Democrats’ gospel being preached by Pelosi, Schumer, De Blasio and Gov. Cuomo, et al. They, and other liberal “leaders” in these urban enclaves are “co-conspirators” with foreign nations who want to disrupt the process and instill voter distrust in the integrity of our elections …and it’s working!

Mass mailouts to all voters on unscrubbed voter rolls is a clear pathway to ballot alteration plus delays and election fraud. Is anyone NOT scared about the thought of a “President Pelosi” –as discussed by the Über-left Harvard law professor, Lawrence Tribe (in a previous comment).

Note to Gov. Como and Mayor De Blasio: You guys “broke it” (NYC) and drove your taxpayers to other states, YOU pay to fix the problems!. Don’t expect others to return and bail you out of your incompetence..

Off topic – This could be a nghtmare scenario!

Mail-in voting could delay 2020 ballot count for months,
making Nancy Pelosi (acting) president?

Professor Lawrence Tribe of Harvard floated a new rationale behind Democrats’ push for mail-in voting, invoking the 20th Amendment as the scheme’s foundation.

Über-left Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe let the cat out of the bag with this tweet.comment image

It will be a repeat of Al Gore’s hanging chad story, with lawsuits and Soros-funded state and county officials unwilling to certify any election results. Democrats have been preparing for this scenario.

CNN reported, “Joe Biden’s campaign is assembling hundreds of lawyers nationwide to monitor potential voting issues as part of its extensive voter protection efforts heading into the general election.” There will be mass confusion.

Enter Professor Tribe’s prediction. Section 3 of the 20th Amendment.

If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

Or could this be the scenario using the 12th Amendment ?

If the PSA (Presidential Succession Act) may not apply since Pence is on Trump’s ticket. would the 12th Amendment apply in a contested election with all the chaos going on ? Then each each state delegation for the House of Representative gets one vote to choose the President. If a state has more than one Representative, the delegation must choose one representative to represent the state. Congress is dominated by Democrats and I don’t know if that will change. The Senate is dominated by Republicans and who knows who will have the majority in January or if they have any influence.

12th Amendment

https://constitution.congress.gov/constitution/amendment-12/

Either way this could be a nightmare scenario!

Dan Knight, sorry to call you out like this, and this may not be your speciality, but any comments on this?

It’s called a cluster feck; it is part-and-parcel of the Democrats’ design to deny the American voters the right to a legitimate vote. This treasonous Party will and has done everything to deny Americans a voice, and it is working. Their hirelings, the MSM, ANTIFA, BLM, and every bloody aspirant Bolshevist is endorsed and enable by the Democrats and the scumbag George Soros. There’s a myriad of others.

If a voter goes to a polling place a day or two after the election, will their vote be counted? This article says the “directions for signature were poorly designed” but if you look at one, it has large black letters that say “Applicant Must Sign Below” and below that, “X – Sign Here”. Not sure why people would skip that, but they should not be counted if they did not. None of the problems have anything to do with fraud. They should look at mail-in ballot design to reduce those mistakes but millions did not vote in 2016 and the count would be millions higher this time if we did not have mail-in voting.comment image

It’s clear the Democrats will try to steal the election in front of the eyes of the Nation. It’s time to stop this lunacy. Let’s insist for this election strict guidelines for main in vote, voter ID and all the other schemes used in the past
