If Trump Sends Federal Agents To Baltimore And They Engage In ‘Illegal Vigilante Activities,’ They Will Be Charged, Mosby Says

Story continues below advertisementBALTIMORE (WJZ) — Days after President Donald Trump suggested Baltimore could see additional federal law enforcement officers on the ground to combat violent crime, the city’s state’s attorney penned an op-ed saying those officers will be prosecuted if they “engage in the same illegal vigilante activities” being reported elsewhere.
In an op-ed published Thursday in The Washington Post and co-authored by Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, Mosby decried the clashes between federal agents and protesters in Portland, Oregon, including an incident Wednesday night in which the city’s mayor was tear-gassed.
If similar clashes were to happen in Baltimore or Philadelphia, the attorneys wrote, they would be prosecuted.
“Should Trump send federal agents who engage in the same illegal vigilante activities, unlawfully assaulting and kidnapping people, they will face criminal charges from our offices. The authority of city officials to prosecute federal law enforcement officials is clear,” Mosby and Krasner wrote.
Earlier Wednesday, Trump announced a surge of hundreds of federal law enforcement officials would head to Chicago, Kansas City and Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of Operation LeGend, a program aimed at combating violent crime. While the president included Baltimore in a list of possible cities that could see federal agents, it was not included in Wednesday’s announcement, though U.S. Attorney General William Barr said more cities will be added in the coming weeks.

I don’t understand it either…. states have ignored federal laws and in some states voided state laws to allow sanctuary cities. I would think state’s rights on this issue would not be allowed because it clashes with federal law.
Federal law helps protect the entire country against illegals etc. In addition don’t officials have to swear into office to uphold laws whether it is state or federal? We used to work together…

This should be interesting because Trump has the right to go in there and protect federal property and prosecute them damaging federal property. They resurrected an old law that allows this.
It’s hard to imagine that DEM governors and mayors would object and continue to protect violent criminals and brainwashed liberals acting out to such an extreme in their sanctuary cities…but they want it allowed and now include domestic terrorists.
It looks like Trump is trying to avoid using the Insurrection Act and keep the temperature down but he may have to resort to that….without a states permission or approval.

Such armed resistance to federal agents by local authorities are acts of secession. It’s equivalent of Confederates firing on Fort Sumpter. Such jurisdictions become a military problem to be solved the same way Lincoln solved the Confederate secession.

The President of the United States has the authority and obligation to protect Federal Property, anywhere in the USA.
He has zero authority to protect municipal property, unless being attacked by a foreign combatant.

Headline: Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner Arrested
The Philadelphia Chief of Police slapped the cuffs on the DA after receiving orders to arrest Federal officers assigned to protect the Federal District Court Building. The DA (pictured here shielding his face with a copy of NWO Magazine) was hauled off to CIty Jail for processing. When asked by reporters, “What’s the charge?” The Chief responded, “We’re cops, we don’t arrest cops who are just doing their jobs. We do however, arrest DA’s who issue unlawful orders for us to arrest other cops performing their lawful duties.” DA Krasner was visibly upset at this sudden turn of events evidenced by a dark patch that could clearly be seen around the crotch area of his tan pants.
