CNN’s Jim Acosta blasted for taking Kayleigh McEnany out of context in viral tweet

CNN’s chief anti-Trump reporter Jim Acosta was blasted on social media over a tweet that quoted White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany out of context.
During Thursday’s briefing, McEnany reiterated President Trump’s strong stance on wanting children to be going back to school in the fall amid a fiery debate about how educators can prevent the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
“The science should not stand in the way of this, but as Dr. Scott Atlas said — I thought this was a good quote, ‘Of course, we can do it. Everyone else in the Western world, our peer nations are doing it. We are the outlier here,'” McEnany said, quoting the former Stanford Medical Center neurology chief.
“The science is very clear on this. For example, you look at the JAMA pediatric study of 46 pediatric hospitals in North America that said the risk of critical illness from COVID is far less for children than the seasonal flu. The science is on our side here. We encourage localities and states to just simply follow the science. Open our schools,” she continued.
However, Acosta tweeted about what McEnany said by suggesting she was anti-science.
“The White House Press Secretary on Trump’s push to reopen schools: ‘The science should not stand in the way of this,'” the liberal reporter tweeted.

Acosta later added, “McEnany went on to say ‘the science is on our side here.'”
However, his first tweet went on to get 30,000 retweets while his follow-up tweet that provided the much-needed context received less than 700. Among those who shared the out-of-context tweet were Democratic lawmakers Rep. Jerry Nadler and Rep. David Cicilline, as well as several of his CNN colleagues.
CNN’s chief White House correspondent was hit with major backlash.

Even Acosta’s own colleague Jake Tapper weighed in on the distorted quote that was being shared, urging everyone to “read the ENTIRE McEnany comment.”
“I’m not taking a position on the matter but be fair,” the CNN anchor wrote.

You know it’s widely rumored that Catherine Herridge left Fox due to its left turn? I mean that was a serious loss but it’s not even close to a network publishing false stories again and again and again…
In like fashion I think it sends a bad signal when Fox hires blue-haired-obese Donna Bra whose history as a determined, and prolific, liar is well established. Now I figure (hope) they did it for the same reason they hired Juan Williams: To showcase the idiocy of the Left. But now Fox is kinda Left so I’m not so sure anymore.

She left for CBS, which is even more alt left. CBS has created fake anti Trump news stories with photos from things that happened a while ago. I think they are giving her more money. She has already embarrassed CBS 2-3 times by putting out facts that showed CBS was actually making false news to try and humiliate the President. Rupert Murdoch turned FOXNEWS over to his alt left scumbag older son, and brought in anti Trumper Paul Ryan and Brazile. They have fired Trish Regan and let go of Diamond and Silk, all staunch defenders of the President. Williams has been here a long time. Yes, FOXNEWS has quite a list of anti Trumpers working there. Chris Wallace, Neil Cavuto, Brett Baier, Brazile, Leland Vittert, Maria Harf, Jessica Tarlov, Gillian Turner, Williams, Judge Napolitanio and(most of the time) Martha MacCallum. It is disgusting, and I really stopped watch FOXNEWS after they fired Trish. I watch a tiny bit here and there, mostly to see how the market finished.

Hopefully, she will be fired by the end of the year. The whole point of bringing her on was so that FOXNEWS would have more access to demoscum candidates and the debates. They had practically zero access to the debates with her there. She humiliated herself and the network horribly twice this year. She is an embarrassment and the stockholders saw it.

I wonder if his ex-wife realizes how lucky she is that he cheated on her and then divorced her for the other woman? Most of us wouldn’t have anything to do with him on a dare or a wager but money talks for some women… lol
