National Association of Police Organizations endorses Trump

A coalition of police unions and associations across the country is endorsing President Trump’s re-election bid, recognizing his “steadfast and very public support” of law enforcement officers.
Story continues below advertisementThe National Association of Police Organizations, which represents more than 1,000 police units and associations nationwide, threw its support behind Trump in a letter released Wednesday acknowledging his “continued strong support” of cops tasked to protect Americans.
“Our endorsement recognizes your steadfast and very public support for our men and women on the front lines, especially during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many,” wrote the group’s president, Michael McHale.
The group also praised Trump for directing Attorney General Bill Barr to “aggressively prosecute those who attack our officers,” a reference to ongoing nationwide protests against racial injustice in the aftermath of George Floyd’s police-custody death, some of which have included violence against police officers.
The endorsement by the association — which met with Trump on Monday — comes after it did not back a candidate in the 2016 election, Fox News reports. It did, however, support former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in both the 2008 and 2012 elections.
McHale told Fox News that Trump garnered more than the two-thirds majority of votes needed among its members to secure the endorsement.
“So it’s with great pride that I announce on behalf of our National Association Police Organization our endorsement of President Donald J. Trump,” McHale said, later adding that he expects Trump to win in November while citing his signing of the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act and other measures for the backing.
The Trump campaign, meanwhile, quickly praised the endorsement as more proof that he’s the “law and order” commander-in-chief while simultaneously attacking Biden as powerless to shore up Democrats.
“Joe Biden has done nothing to stop his party’s ‘defund the police’ movement and remains silent as police officers across the country are being attacked by violent rioters and protesters,” Bob Paduchik, the campaign’s senior advisor for law enforcement and labor unions, said in a statement.
“This endorsement for President Trump highlights that as the Law and Order President, he is defending the hardworking people who risk their own lives every day to keep our communities safe.”

That’s helpful but law and order has still not been restored. Now DEMS want permanent chaos by defunding the police. I don’t know what Trump can do about that, if anything on a permanent basis. Police are not federalized. I think the majority of funding by the police is done locally and by the state.

This “something other than gold and silver coin” was nothing more than “fiat” money, or script, back by nothing but the labor of the people.
Thus, Constitutionally, the States could no longer function in a de jure capacity because it no longer had the ability to pay its debts in the form mandated by its Constitution, i.e., contract with the people.

As a retired firefighter, and former member of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), I ask every firefighter to support Trump, the police, and the Constitution, that you swore to uphold.
The IAFF, used to endorse, every Democrat, that came down the pike, against many of the members views. I know I wrote several scathing letters to the IAFF. In the department I was in, we had 1 avowed democrat. Our local was never polled. Yet, the IAFF, was happy to take our dues.

A national police union can negotiate common terms allowing pension contributions to go to an union administered pension fund that would allow portability so cops could quit forces in cities run by liberal lunatic democrats and get new jobs in cities where they have political support and no corruption like Baltimore and Chicago.They can not trust these politicians to properly fund their pensions or to support law enforcement.
