More than 400 Jewish organizations and synagogues in the United States, including a number in Northern California, have signed on to a letter that asserts “unequivocally: Black Lives Matter.”
The joint letter was an initiative of a diverse group of Jewish activists from across a range of religious, political, gender, and racial identities. The list of signatories — from small congregations to major Jewish organizations — represents millions of Jewish people in the United States, the organizers said in a statement.
“We support the Black-led movement in this country that is calling for accountability and transparency from the government and law enforcement,” says the letter, which had its hundreds of signers within 24 hours. “We know that freedom and safety for any of us depends on the freedom and safety of all of us.
“When politicians target Jewish people and blame us for problems, it leads directly to violence against us. When Black movements are undermined, it leads to more violence against Black people, including Black Jews.”
The letter calls Black Lives Matters the “current day civil rights movement” in the United States.
“When Jewish people join together with our neighbors across racial and religious differences, as we have in the past, we can protect each other and build the future of freedom and safety we all deserve,” the letter says.
Northern California organizations that signed the letter include the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation, the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council, Urban Adamah, Workers Circle of Northern California, Wilderness Torah, National Council of Jewish Women of San Francisco, National Council of Jewish Women of Contra Costa, National Council of Jewish Women of Sacramento, Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay, Jewish Action Norcal, Nice Jewish Boys S.F., Jewish Voice for Peace Bay Area, Be’chol Lashon, Congregation Netivot Shalom, Congregation Bet Haverim, Temple Beth El of Aptos, The Kitchen, Chochmat HaLev, Coastside Jewish Community, Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, Congregation Beth Israel Judea, Aquarian Minyan and Kehilla Community Synagogue.

I *do* draw the parallel, to the 1930’s Jews as well as the whole d****d Reform movement, all trying to ingratiate themselves with surrounding culture. And does get the world to like them? This pandering is the inverse of this verse in Deuteronomy (where did that stupid name come from? 🙂 4:6 (Sefaria translation):

The American Jewish Community is actually two completely different entities.
Orthodox Judaism, which includes Hassidic sects, is staunchly conservative, largely pro-Israel and due to large family sizes, is growing at an unprecedented rate.
Non-Orthodox Judaism which includes Reform and remnants of the fading Conservative movement, and a collection of unaffiliated secular Jews. This group is staunchly progressive, conditionally pro-Israel and due to assimilation, its population is shrinking.
A 2013 study by the Pew Research Center concluded that over the next 65 years, Orthodox Judaism would continue to grow while Non-Orthodox Judaism would continue to shrink. By the end of the 21st century, Orthodox Jews would comprise roughly 50% of all American Jews. Conclusion: Kosher food is a growth market.

Yes, anyone may join the synagogue, usually it’s because of marriage. Don’t need to convert.
Having stepped away from any liberal synagogue, difficult to find a “home”.

From my reading, college campuses in general are very anti Israel and Jewish students. If I were a Jew, I don’t think I would even go to college unless there are some out there that are pro Israel. These lefties that claim they are just against Israel for the crime defending itself against terrorists that want to destroy it are anti Jew but are not confident enough in their power (yet) to push for banning Jewish students from colleges. But it’s coming.

The 2000 year old story of Jewish exile is about the futile attempts to gain acceptance from the goyim. Despite the founding of the modern State of Israel which bred a new generation of Jews that no longer lived for the approval of their host, most secular Jews in exile remain psychologically trapped. They cling to an ancient religious culture and values that they no little about, yet they more than ever crave acceptance from the non-Jewish world. They fill the void of ignorance about their own amazing religious heritage by making support for Israel conditional and by passionately embracing progressive politics, a Leftist ideology that is openly anti-semitic. They’ve managed to turn prideful ignorance into betrayal of their own people.
It’s not working. Israel is still dominated by the political right and orthodox Judaism, and American secular Jews are a fading population with grossly overstated impact on progressive politics and Presidential elections. Their bark is far greater than their bite. Most live in solidly blue states. If none of of them voted, it would have zero impact on the Electoral College election result.
How low will secular Jews (like Mark Cuban) continue to stoop for love? Why not replace the Star of David with a Black Power symbol. After all, to jew-hating Black celebrities like Ice Rube, Desean Jackson and Lebron James, the Star of David = Black Oppression. How sad.

Only ETERNAL LIVES MATTER. Where one will spend ETERNITY is all that matters. And there are only two choices. Yes, I said CHOICES. The greatest gift that God gave to the ‘mankind’ that He created was the gift of CHOICE. Yes, you can choose your ETERNAL destiny. Even if you don’t believe in Heaven or Hell doesn’t change the fact that they are REAL.
Jesus is real. Thousands of witnesses and recorded history. Jesus is God. The entire Roman Military Complex couldn’t find His body after He rose from the dead. (And again, hundreds and hundreds of eye witnesses), People believe CNN talking heads but won’t believe the evidence.
Look around you. The people of the world are going insane. People are saying and doing things that don’t align with reality, that don’t make any sense. All I hear is “I don’t understand why he did that” or “I don’t understand why He said that” or “How could anyone do something like that” or, or, or ……!
Christianity in a nutshell. “Jesus came, Jesus died, Jesus rose again and Jesus is coming back”. Acts 1:11 and hundreds more Scriptures.
All you have to do is “choose” to believe in Him. You “choose” everything else in life that you do, why not choose to believe in a loving God that created you and wants a personal relationship with you? One on one. Just you and Him ! Call Him right now. Time is running out and He wants to talk with you. He wants you to know Him. He wants to spend ETERNITY with you, His child. But you have to become His ‘child’ first, not just His ‘creation’. (There is an ETERNITY of difference between the two). “To them gave He power to become sons of God, even those who believe on His Name”.
“Choose ye now who ye will follow; as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” !!! It’s as easy as saying “Lord, I want to believe in you. Help my unbelief” and then start reading His book, asking the Holy Spirit to enlighten your mind as you read. ” And I will send you a comforter, the Holy Spirit, and He shall lead you and guide you in ALL truth”. And, Jesus said “I am the way, the TRUTH and the life; the ONLY way to the Father is through Me”.
