Trump Issues Executive Order To Rebuild Non-Confederate Monuments That Have Been Torn Down By Protesters

Ahead of the Fourth of July weekend, President Donald Trump issued an executive order that would create a new national park to display statues and monuments dedicated to “American Heroes,” including those that have been torn down by protesters in the past month.
The order lists specific criteria and examples of either names of potential persons to be honored or events from which historically significant persons may be honored, such as the “discovery of America” or the “abolition of slavery.” Neither the Confederacy nor the Civil War are mentioned in the order.
In the past month, statues of George Washington, Christopher Columbus, and even Abraham Lincoln have been destroyed, as well as monuments dedicated to abolitionists and Africa-American soldiers. It is these statues and monuments Trump said he wanted to restore and preserve.
“To destroy a monument is to desecrate our common inheritance. In recent weeks, in the midst of protests across America, many monuments have been vandalized or destroyed. Some local governments have responded by taking their monuments down. Among others, monuments to Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Francis Scott Key, Ulysses S. Grant, leaders of the abolitionist movement, the first all-volunteer African-American regiment of the Union Army in the Civil War, and American soldiers killed in the First and Second World Wars have been vandalized, destroyed, or removed,” Trump’s order stated.
“These statues are not ours alone, to be discarded at the whim of those inflamed by fashionable political passions; they belong to generations that have come before us and to generations yet unborn. My Administration will not abide an assault on our collective national memory. In the face of such acts of destruction, it is our responsibility as Americans to stand strong against this violence, and to peacefully transmit our great national story to future generations through newly commissioned monuments to American heroes,” the order continued.

Congrats to a true patriotic president-for however long it lasts.
We all know-at least I think we do-what will happen should Democrats win in November. They’ll be destroyed again, by the same anarchists who took them down, because no one will be left to protect them.

Never Trump Republicans believe that preventing a second term for Trump is insufficient, and that Senate Republicans must also pay the price of backing the 45th president.
Never Trump super PAC the Lincoln Project and other anti-Trump Republicans continue to plot to not only take down President Donald Trump, but also the Senate Republican majority, according to a report released on Saturday.

Steve Schmidt, who works for the Never Trump Lincoln Project, said, “The analogy would be in the same way that fire purifies the forest, it needs to be burned to the ground and fundamentally repudiated. Every one of them should be voted out of office, with the exception of Mitt Romney.”
To wage their war on the Republican Party, the Lincoln Project announced six-figure ad buys against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sens. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Martha McSally (R-AZ). The latter three senators face competitive Senate races this November.

Jennifer Horn, a former New Hampshire GOP chairwoman who advises the Lincoln Project, said that Senate Republicans had the “authority and the ability” challenge Trump, but chose not to.
“The only way to make sure that Trumpism doesn’t continue to rule the Republican Party for years to come is to make sure that we defeat not only the president, but those people who have enabled him,” she added.

Too bad these Marxist clowns don’t have any redeemable talent. If they had talent they could be forced to help make these statues. At the very least they should be made to clean up the filthy mess they left behind and get rid of the graffiti. The problem is our courts move so slowly, it will be all cleaned up by the time they are hopefully punished.
Our “justice” system is not as predictable as it used to be. I point to Hillary. Over four years later she’s now pushing voting by mail. There is tons of evidence on Bill Clinton and underage girls on Epstein’s orgy island and express flights and nothing happens there. I’ll stop there. It sickens me.

All history has value, including especially our ability to come back from our failures. Reclamation of humanity is a powerful reminder; the Bible is full of this. I have seen one of the camps in Germany. It cannot be un-seen.

My personal view is to repair all statues. Many of the statues of the Confederate generals, et cetera, were put by Union soldiers for respect of their military and to say “we are now all Americans”.
General Lee was apolitical. He was a general and followed orders from his civilian command. His military abilities were quite impressive. But now fools are applying the political correctness of today to select areas of the past.
I believe history hidden or erased diminishes everyone. Just look how China erases history and the people who fall out of favour. Same for the former USSR and North Korea.

The majority of the statues were put up in the 1920s during the resurgence of the KKK and the 1960s as a backlash against the Civil Rights movement.

Why not rebuild ALL of them? The confederacy is as much a part of our heritage as anything else and it deserves to be remembered AND the people who destroyed them should pay for their crimes. Trump also needs to reverse any orders barring a display of the Confederate Flag.

I used to love to race walk in the nice park that commemorates the Battle of Guilford Courthouse when I lived in town. All this is part of my heritage despite the fact that my family is small government, Constitution as law Republicans who were not racists. Democrats were the racists. Democrats were the KKK. Repair all statues, Confederate or Union should make no difference. We had great heroes in the confederacy. One should remember that slavery was not the only issue at all. States rights were, and still are, a huge issue with many down here.
We all know that the real purpose of tearing down our monuments is to destroy our cultural history. They want America to be full of brain dead useful idiots just like themselves. This country is in severe danger from left leaning Democrat mobs and their friends in places of local, state, and national authority. Thank God Trump is in office.

It should have never have gone this far! The terrorists should have been arrested as soon as they through a rope on any statue with the intention of tearing it down! These people are law breakers, anarchists, and terrorists; and should be dealt with zero tolerance for their actions!!!
