You cannot write off the president’s appearance to him being overweight/obese.
Look at the chest and how the suit is cut. It appears that he’s wearing Level IV armor with double trauma pads. And, he isn’t even in a truly public environment.

At the Mesa rally in 2015 already I saw his jacket hip flap flip out in a classic sidearm bulge. For too long a time in the 2015/2016 campaign, The Donald and his sons Eric and Don Jr’s jackets never fit right. They could never close them, and I guess they were just too busy campaigning to get fitted for new over their body armor. Ivanka was too pregnant, so she just disappeared for a while.

I have a Level III vest and it’s quite bulky, especially with the trauma pads behind the steel. But, Trump’s recent pictures are some big-time stuff. Well yes. But I posted this because it appears to represent the picture that Trump outlined in the Presser. The rebound is widespread, and it is mostly V-shaped. In that sense, it is very different from a recession, that has a very gradual recovery.
The NASDAQ may be doing particularly well because it is tech-heavy, and computers and digital devices are selling vigorously right now, with more online activity as well. As with most economic set-backs since 1980, the recovery is linked to computing. When businesses get in trouble, they raise efficiencies with more digital tech. And when they prosper, they have the money to raise efficiencies with more digital tech. So it works both ways.

The US is lucky to have such a uniquely American President as Trump. The man simply cannot be duplicated anywhere else. He is a stand-alone ( unfortunately in more than one sense ) iconic character.
We in other nations have our drab, unimaginative, manipulative drones to contend with, all of whom – ALL – are believers in multiculturalism to a fault. I am not the biggest fan of the current president. He is, by FAR, heads and shoulders above any of recent memory, but he is somewhat of a multi-culturalist … not to mention the large number of moslem refugees that he’s brought in … and, NOT enforcing existing immigration laws.
But, compared to anything else, that’s been put in front of us for a few decades, he’s a savior.

Even for Americans he is very unique. We had been smothered in politically correct speech codes for decades by the time he appeared, so from the first speach I heard him give announcing his candidacy, it was such a breath of fresh air, I just said, “I want to be free like him!!” In truth all it takes is to stand up and say, “I won’t submit!” You might die young, but you will die free. Anyone who has to ask ‘what is social justice’ has lost the plot. It’s not my job to explain it to you. As for Christianity, Jesus was possibly the greatest proponent of social justice. A revolutionary. Certainly not a Trumpite. (Conversely, Trump is no Christian. A total fake on this and many other counts.) If he came back to earth (which he won’t) he would be killed all over again – this time by angry so-called Christians who would be incensed to find what he actually stood for. The established church has twisted the message of Christ beyond all recognition. (Incidentally, he never claimed to be the Messiah, and there was no word for church in his language, Aramaic.)
My grandfather, incidentally, (I never met him), was a reverend, quite high up in the Church of England – Vicar Choral at York Minster. He left the church, and became a Quaker, following his experiences as a chaplain on the western front in WW1. He had to censor the letters of boys writing home. Boys who were cannon fodder. He saw clearly how church and state were far too intertwined, and he was being forced to do the bidding of the state. Time to quit.
