US Marshals told to ‘immediately prepare’ to defend national monuments

U.S. Marshals have been told they should gear up to defend national monuments across the country, after several of the structures were toppled or vandalized during recent protests, a report said on Wednesday.
Story continues below advertisementThe service “has been asked to immediately prepare to provide federal law enforcement support to protect national monuments,” Marshals Assistant Director Andrew C. Smith wrote in an email obtained by The Washington Post.
“This is a challenging assignment due to the breadth of possible targets for criminal activity,” Smith wrote.
To coordinate, the Marshals Incident Management Team will start a Joint Operations Center in Springfield, Va., and every Special Operations Group deputy will be made available to help as soon as Thursday, he wrote.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Trump administration activated the National Guard to protect monuments in Washington, D.C., as anti-racism protests continue to rage in the nation’s capital.
The move came following the toppling on Friday of a statue of Confederate leader Albert Pike near the city’s police headquarters.
On Monday, protesters tried to take down a statue of President Andrew Jackson in a park next to the White House, but police in riot gear stopped them.
President Trump tweeted the next day that he had “authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent…”
Across the country, protesters against racism and police violence have toppled or tagged monuments of America’s past, including several statues of Confederate generals.

Color me curious. Since the Veterans’ Memorial Preservation and Recognition Act became Public Law No: 108-29 on 05/29/2003, why hasn’t it been enforced, to date?

I would never have believed that America would allow itself to be treated so shabbily. Europe, yes, anything is possible in this moloch. Apparently, World Destruction Central has now chosen you as its playground. This can only mean that the rest of the western world can no longer rely on anything, and this can only be intentional.

Where does this sick aggression come from? You’ve obviously been infiltrated by communist voles. They want to weaken your state institutions. There can only be a coordinated plan behind it. A country like America must be interested in peace and order to serve as an example for the future of its children and for the entire Western world. The world has not seen such a complete self-dismantling for a long time. Cruel.

What reason do these people have to run into the streets and destroy the honorable symbolism of America? Are they too well off? Do they have too much and too good to eat? Are they too liberally provided for? Are they crying out for boundaries that are not set for them? They have no sense of shame. If this is the beginning, America will slide into disaster.

Lincoln’s Slavery Emancipation Statue Still Stands
Strong barriers were placed around the memorial on Thursday afternoon. Trump ordered the federal Park Police to protect the memorial after BLM terrorists had announced they planned to tear it down.

This needs to be handled like Lincoln did, with the Irish riots, in NYNY.
And, Lincoln did so, following less than three days of burnings, beatings, rapes, and murders … Two days were enough to dispatch the army.
The rioters were given a warning to disperse. When certain murderous rioters charged, it was fire on command.
Each row, fire on command. The bodies piled up and blood flowed in the street.
It must have been a glorious sight.

Though absolutely no one in the media or elsewhere will breathe a word of it, those historical monuments and markers serve the same purpose as leaving the entry gates and crematory ovens in place at the Auschwitz death camp, as a lesson and a warning from history.
It is wise to learn from your past instead of ignoring it and repeating its mistakes.
As for the Civil War, how much sense does it make to topple the statues honoring Grant and Lincoln who facilitated the end of slavery?

Premise 2: Everything done by whites is inherently evil because all whites are inherently evil.
Premise 3: If a white person appears to have done something good, that must be covered up, buried, or destroyed because it could disprove Premise 1 and Premise 2.
