Teens and 3-year-old among 10 dead, more than 60 wounded by gunfire over violent weekend in Chicago

CHICAGO — The sounds of gunshots and sirens echoed through Chicago over a violent Father’s Day weekend, as shootings across the city left 10 people dead and more than 60 wounded.
Among the victims was 3-year-old Mekay James, who police say was in a car with his father in the south Austin neighborhood when someone fired shots at the vehicle, striking and killing the toddler.
While police say the 27-year-old father was the intended target, and he is not cooperating with detectives. Sunday morning, community activist Andrew Holmes canvassed the neighborhood seeking information on the suspect.
“Block-by-block, let’s find the shooter,” Holmes said.
Superintendent David Brown said the police are working hard to track down the people responsible for the violence that shattered several Chicago communities. Community leaders are also offering a $10,000 reward for any information in Mekay James’ killing.
About an hour after the toddler was shot, two men were shot just blocks away and one of them was killed.
Then about an hour later and another half-mile away, three teenagers were shot, including a 13-year-old girl who was killed. Police say she was simply watching TV in her home when she was shot in the neck.
“The bullet goes through the window, striking her in the neck causing her death,” said CPD Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan.
In South Shore,a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy were killed near 79th Street and south Luella Avenue.
“This offender runs up with a gun and shoots and kills two for no reason at all – nothing to do with ongoing disputes, and they get gunned down for no reason at all,” Deenihan said.
Supt. Brown says there’s a common thread in all the violence: “Gangs, guns and drugs.”
“Let’s keep violent offenders in jail longer and revamp the home monitoring system,” Brown said.
Police say there’s a lot of work to do in the investigation into the killing of the three-year-old, including reviewing footage and interviewing potential witnesses.

Their response to these black deaths should be sufficient proof to anybody who cares about black lives that BLM is just a con. Anybody who supports BLM are fools! If that’s you, you’re being had! You are their useful idiot supporting their cause… and their cause is not about black lives but about subversion of our nation. And once they are in power… they’ll be done with their useful idiots. This angers me to no end, a perfect example of what is coming to this whole nation, if it continues to be allowed but regardless, prophecy will be fulfilled.
What we are seeing is Satan at work. People seldom give evil credit, as if they ignore it, it will just go away. Well sorry but that’s not how life works. Once evil gets its foot in the door and no one cuts that foot off – you’ve had it. Don’t expect it to get better when there are those like Soros paying the way for these people. I hope there isn’t anyone so dumb that they think these people have saved the money being spent themselves. That’s the way with evil. The devil helps them to do his bidding. So how is it that not only the rioters but those “peaceful protesters” can afford a month of living away home? Yeah, some peaceful protesters, they’ve been shields for the violent rioters! And do take note that they aren’t living on the street, they have clean clothes and aren’t going hungry either. How come? Doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.
And how about those whites that are so guilt ridden? Guilt ridden for what? Days of slavery when democrats who took advantage of the blacks who their own people got rid of to made money. (What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?) The whites of today had nothing to do with slavery that is unless they are rich democrats! Anyway who in their right mind could feel guilt for something done by the Africans bringing them here? Who in their right mind would feel guilt for something that happened over a hundred years ago? Those poor guilt ridden whites are about as stupid as sloths, which says little in their favor. The world has gone crazy! Well that is except for true Christians. Yeah, I said except for true Christians (not the so-called ones) for it seems only their eyes haven’t been blinded and they still have the common sense to know the difference between good and evil, heaven and hell and at least they made the right choice.
A person cannot serve two masters. It’s either the Lord God or it’s the devil. Wanna guess who follows which? I saw them break at least 5 of the 10 commandments so don’t tell me that any of them serve the Lord. They darn well better hope they win this battle they’ve started for what they get now is the best it’s going to be for them and on the other side of the grave they have nothing but eternal he*ll to look forward to, for saying one’s a Christian just doesn’t cut it. They are only fooling themselves but they sure can’t fool God the way they have a bunch of idiots. I honestly don’t think they are capable of understanding that the Lord Jesus was talking about them when he said: “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21. When they hear, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” 7:23. Even a child knows that they don’t get rewarded by disobeying a parent, yet these people demand rewards for sinning. And sorry but once saved always saved won’t overlook the sins being committed. Afraid your preachers haven’t taught you any better than they know themselves, as none seem to understand what Hebrews 10:26-31 says but boy does it make it clear that these protesters, rioters, BLM, the marxist, communist, democrats and the rest of them have long parted ways with God. Read it and weep for it is no joking matter. And in verse 30 he tells us white/black victims that He will take vengeance upon them that have done these things and I say it couldn’t come too soon for me. I am sick of watching the devil have his way! Maybe I won’t see it happen for maybe it won’t happen until they are condemned to he*ll. God have mercy on their soul.
May God have mercy upon their souls for they don’t seem to have the good sense to think about their that for themselves. I’m ashamed of them, both those blacks and whites alike. But anyone stupid enough to follow and hold on to their oppressor, enemies, really don’t deserve pity. They will get my respect when they earn it, not by demanding it. God is my protector and if He doesn’t, it’s because it’s time for me to go home – to my eternal life. Philippians 1:21. At least I have the assurance of where I am going after death, praise God…

Amen! Well said Grandma! Prophecy will be fulfilled. Sadly, I can’t help but think it will be because the Church’s failure to actually live out our calling. After all, it seems the way we get to a one world order like that described in the end times is that there are fewer and fewer true Christians and more and more who are fooled by the antichrist.
The problem is the Church as a whole is failing to make disciples. Too many of us confuse making a convert with disciple making. Too many of us presume that if we can just get someone to say some magic words then they are saved and our job of “making a disciple” is done. When we’ve converted someone, God only knows what we’ve converted them to.
What we don’t seem to have time for in our disciple making is teaching those we disciple to obey. If the convert we make has no hunger for the Truth and no heart of obedience, no transformation in their life, yet believe they are saved then we’ve done them a disservice… we not only didn’t lead then to salvation we’ve mislead them into thinking they are saved. Quite frankly, too many of as, as you rightly point out, will say in the time of judgment, “Lord Lord… did we not do ministry in your name?” who will be shocked when Jesus responds, “What’s your name again? I don’t know you… I’ve never known you.”
Having said that, not everyone we disciple will be saved. Many of us erroneously believe a disciple is one who is saved… a convert. We forget Judas, who betrayed Jesus, is also referred to as a disciple of Jesus when he was alive. A disciple is a pupil who follows a teacher. The moment they stop learning and following, they are no longer a disciple. Our calling to make disciples means taking the time to disciple. But taking the time to disciple is something too many of us aren’t willing to do… so instead we focus on making converts thinking we are doing God’s will when we “bring someone to Christ” with a three minute elevator pitch. Is it really a mystery why there are so many heretical churches? The church seems divided but when you look closer the primary division is the Bible… those who hunger for and believe in and make an effort to obey all that is written and those who pretend it has some significance and might even quote from it when convenient but reject the whole notion of sin and God’s righteousness.

I do agree we need to read at least some in the Bible daily but not as in filling out some obligatory checklist. Reading the Bible should be something we want to do. If we have no hunger to read the Bible, if we have no hunger to seek the Truth, then that is a sign that perhaps we don’t actually have a relationship with Jesus. If we take it for granted what He has done such that our salvation is of no actual value to us then we really aren’t forgiven… we aren’t saved… perhaps for some of us it is merely fire insurance. Whoever is selling that policy is a huckster… “buy this fire insurance so you can keep on sinning” is not the Gospel message.
As for what you wrote “The NWO won’t come until the Lord takes His hand off of it…” is clearly slowly happening as more and more people get further and further away from God.

Really glad that you got to read and answered it. Sigh.
I’m of the mindset that if a person was serious about receiving the Savior, that they would want to stay close to Him and that is done best by reading some of the word and going in prayer daily. I’ve found that when a person puts a day off, next thing they know a week has passed without reading the Bible and then? Why take such chances when we know that is something that feeds the devil.
As Chief Sitting Bull said: “Inside of me there are two dogs. One is mean and evil and the other is good and they fight each other all the time. When asked which one wins I answer, the one I feed the most.” Think about that for a second and what it means. Stop feeding the good dog daily and the mean, evil dog will win.
If we don’t put Christ first in our lives, we open a door to the devil. Better we feel an obligation (actually not obligation but appreciation), or we’ll soon walk away from Him. Anyone can know what their relationship is with the Lord easily. Is there a peace within that passes all understanding? When they give thought to Jesus, does their heart skip a beat and joy fills them? Listing only those two things, if either of them starts sliding away that person is close to being in serious trouble. Instead of their cup running over, they will soon find it to be empty. I wouldn’t be where I am with Him today if I had felt as you stated. Emphysema would probably have taken me about seven to ten years ago if I hadn’t had the faith needed to go through a terminal disease without any medicine, and no amount of oxygen could keep me going as I have for 17 years, only Him, and His grace has seen me through. Faith even with His grace doesn’t survive without ‘our’ input. Definitely! That fire insurance is just in a persons mind and protects that person from nothing. We can’t serve two masters. We either serve the Lord or we serve our own lust. Kinda like ‘once saved, always saved.’ Have to read Hebrews 10:26-31 which tears that to shreds. The gospel message is the only winning message.
Yes, we can see by the day that the Lord is closer to allowing the NWO happen. Time we start looking up if we aren’t already. Take our eyes off Him and in the twinkling of an eye, His children are gone from this earth.

Don’t take it personal Grandma Dorothy. I’m positive it wasn’t something Pamela Geller did but somebody who is of this world who couldn’t bear that what you wrote might be seen by others. I get that all the time. Any hate you get is because they hate Jesus first and foremost.
As for what you wrote… Amen! (again!)
I like your quote form Chief Sitting Bull… there’s some truth there and too many of us don’t feed the good but instead we feed the flesh… we have plenty of time for TV or other things that make us “happy” or “content” but then run out of time for God.
Sorry to hear about your illness but praise God for sustaining you. God is good! May God continue to use you for His glory for many more years! Keep up the good fight!
