Jaw-dropping admission: Rosenstein agrees that by August 2017 there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion … but he let Mueller probe proceed|

Rosenstein agrees that by August of 2017 there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion

He agreed that there was ‘no “there” there.’

By Daniel Payne, Just the News, June 3, 2020:

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein conceded on Wednesday that by August of 2017 there was no evidence that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russians to sabotage the 2016 election, even though the investigation into that allegation would persist for another year and a half.

The jaw-dropping admission came during a contentious hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is actively investigating the F.B.I.’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation that sought to uncover whether Trump campaign officials had colluded with Russian agents to sabotage the 2016 election.

Addressing Rosenstein during the hearing, committee member Sen. Lindsey Graham asked him: “The whole concept, that the campaign was colluding with the Russians, there was no ‘there’ there in August of 2017, do you agree or not?”

“I agree with the general statement,” Rosenstein replied.

The revelation was just one of several bombshells the former deputy attorney general delivered before the committee. Rosenstein in many cases appeared to be admitting that he himself was significantly in the dark about the F.B.I.’s early Russian investigations. At one point he claimed that former F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe “was not fully candid with me” regarding bureau proceedings.

He also told the committee he was unaware that an F.B.I. field office had recommended that Gen. Michael Flynn be dropped from the investigation. Rosenstein was asked by Graham if he knew that “in January of 2017, the F.B.I. field office said, ‘we recommend General Flynn be removed'” from the F.B.I.’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“I did not,” Rosenstein responded.

“Would that have mattered?” Graham asked, to which Rosenstein responded: “Yes.”

Rosenstein also told senators that he would not have signed the renewal of the FISA warrant for Trump associate Carter Page if he had been aware of exculpatory information withheld from the FISA court. “If you knew then what you knew now, would you have signed the warrant application?” Graham asked him.

“No, I would not,” Rosenstein said.

Rosenstein later indicated that he was not familiar with the full contents of that renewal request. Though he earlier claimed to have read it, he later conceded that he hadn’t read “every page” but that he had reviewed it and was familiar with its contents.

“My recollection of it … it was actually fairly persuasive,” he said. “It had already been approved three times. This was just a re-authorization.”

The former Trump administration official’s apparent lack of knowledge regarding the investigations over which he exercised significant authority was highlighted by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who at one point delivered scathing remarks against what he suggested was a compromised investigatory apparatus.

“You came into a profoundly politicized world, yet all of this was allowed to go forward under your leadership,” Cruz said. “That, unfortunately, leads to only two possible conclusions: Either that you were complicit in the wrongdoing … or that your performance of your duties was grossly negligent.”

FOOL
He says this now?

He should have said that in August 2017. The trouble with rats is that you have to almost stand on them to get them to pay attention. Otherwise they ignore you.

Yes, the technical term is called ‘perceived personal immunity’, and it is common in psychopaths [and rats]. They are convinced they are invulnerable, until they are not. The House Repubs were trying to impeach ‘Rosie’ for stonewalling, but speaker Paul Ryan killed that plan. Ryan was/is another skunk. At least Rosie was forced out of the DOJ. But he still needs to do time. He knew the fix was in, and he played along. For example, Rosie told Trump to fire Comey, and when Trump did so, Rosie joined the howling pack of accusers.

I have called the Democrats psychopaths many times. It takes a psychopath to hold the border open and argue with a straight face that it’s immoral to secure it. It takes a psychopath to oppose travel restrictions when a deadly virus is spreading across the globe. It takes a psychopath to purposefully infect nursing homes with a virus that is deadly to old and ill people. There is an endless list of examples. It takes a family of psychopaths to slowly murder the cornerstone of free people. It takes a family of psychopaths to flood western civilization with Muslims. And on and on and on….

james: Yes, silly isn’t it?
In fact, psychopaths must be consequenced differently than normals. Since they don’t perceive negative consequences until they personally suffer significant pain, they ignore the incidentals, like arrests, indictments, charges laid, fines specified, etc. It’s all bla-bla to them. But when a bullet actually passes through their own body, they pay close attention. They are stunned, “it came from nowhere, why me? And for NO reason. etc.”

SO Rosie should have had is hand slapped five minutes after he got dirty, and he should have been punished repeatedly with tangible effects all through his crimes. Forget the the threats and warnings, and don’t be too heavy, just keep slapping him with something he can feel immediately. That didn’t happen.

We see the same problem with de Blasio, a classic psychopath. He ignores all negative consequences until the big hammer drops, and then he goes ballistic with pain. And that will come. Most rats eventually get stepped on.

That precedent was firmly set under Franklin D (the “D” stands for “Demonspawn”) and has been fully accepted as standard principal, and law, ever since.

YAY, Plame Flames Out
Former CIA officer Valerie Plame loses primary competition in New Mexico

This stupid, rotten, lying, phony, dishonest former intelligence officer, who lied about her role in faking Saddam nuke data, and let other innocent people get convicted for her own crimes, lost her primary. She was competing for an open congressional seat representing the third congressional district of New Mexico.

But there was evidence of Trump/Russia collusion. Anyone who looked closely at the case knows that Boris Badenov was blackmailing Donald Trump, as Boris Badenov had films of his wife Natasha giving Trump a golden shower. As the lib/coommies have no skilll in investigation, obviously they did not find this which would provide rock solid evidence for Pres. Trump’s impeachment.comment image

Look, it is like this…. Rachel Maddow had a crappy newscast where she got hold of POTUS’s tax return and the return proved the opposite of what the media was saying. My fantasy was to interview cartoon representations of Boris Badenov and Natasha where Natasha…admits she gave him a golden shower and and Boris has been using that to blackmail the President. We are an entertainment society. This Russian collusion story was the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. How can people fall fr it? The Russian…collision story is ripe for ridicule and that is what I will do.

Maybe I should learn to make a you tube of this, but it is somewhat dated.

LOL The cartoon the ‘get Trump’ foolishness always reminds me of Wylie Coyote and the Roadrunner more than any other. LOTS of Wylie Coyotes.

Let’s cut to the chase. Is anyone ever going to be indicted for the greatest conspiracy in American history or are we going to let them get away with this? Don’t forget that all this furor caused the GOP to lose the house and caused years of infuriating, pointless investigations by Nazi Lugosi.

Cruz said. “That, unfortunately, leads to only two possible conclusions: Either that you were complicit in the wrongdoing … or that your performance of your duties was grossly negligent.”

And we all know Rosenstein’s only defense is to feign to be grossly negligent when in reality he was complicit in this coup attempt. And the same goes for Wray who continues to obstruct justice by pretending this coup attempt was merely a lack of accountability of the underlings.
