Coronavirus: Illinois Frees 4K Inmates, Including Murderers, Sex Offenders

Story continues below advertisementThe state of Illinois has released nearly 4,000 inmates, including convicted murderers and sex offenders, from their prisons since the Chinese coronavirus crisis hit the state in early March.
Prison release records obtained by Illinois Senate Republicans reveal that close to 4,000 inmates in Illinois have either had their sentences commuted by Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) or have been released by the state’s Department of Corrections from March 1 to April 27.
The nearly 4,000 inmates include those convicted of serious, violent crimes such as second-degree murder, armed robbery, child sexual abuse, attempted murder, rape, kidnapping, domestic battery, reproducing child pornography, manslaughter, and aggravated assault.

Governor ain’t the problem, he’s the symptom. The problem is with the PEOPLE who elected him and most likely will reelect him.
I am convinced that people will be eating their children before this is all over in maybe 10 or 20 years. I don’t know it could be even sooner.

Wish the President could swoop them up as they leave the prisons. put them in federal prisons or something like Gitmo.

Less than that, Stephen. Oregon and Washington are sanctuary states and are being destroyed by liberal governors. This is May 1 and our governor hasn’t let up on the lockdown yet. Our fellowship has had to break up and meet secretly in private homes. We still aren’t allowed to all meet together tomorrow.

It would have been far better to keep and use those prisoners for testing vaccines for disease. It would give them a chance to give back to society for housing and feeding them, A valuable asset instead of a dangerous liability.
Why is it when one becomes an elected official they think they are born leaders and knowlegable in all things. All politicians should be required to pee in a bottle and have their finances checked for corruption.
