New York City Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio faced instant and widespread backlash late on Monday night over a tweet that singled out the “Jewish community” in threatening arrests for not following social distancing guidelines.
The following statement was provided to YWN following the Levaya on Tuesday night which has now become a national story – thanks to the double standard of Mayor Deblasio. As YWN reported, Deblasio singled out the Jewish community in NYC by name, but ignored the tens of thousands of New Yorkers that packed parks in NYC to watch the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels fly over NYC just hours earlier.
Story continues below advertisementWe regret that the funeral today of our Rabbi of blessed memory ended in chaos and in controversy, and we feel that it’s incumbent on us to explain what happened.
Our Rabbi was revered by thousands as a holy, humble and caring person, and they wanted to participate in the funeral. We came up with a plan to have many streets closed, so that people participate and walk the coffin while following the social distancing rules and wearing masks. People walk the streets daily, thus, a funeral – we thought – shouldn’t be different, as long the rules are followed. Unfortunately, this didn’t pan out, and NYPD had to disperse the crowds. The media virtually ignored the rise of 21st century leftwing Nazism in NYC. And they covered for Bill de Blasio. But de Blasio’s latest tweet is an open declaration of his life long antisemitism.
Under de Blasio, New York City has become dangerous for Jews. Would De Blasio have singled out New York City’s Muslim community with such venom, if such a funeral was taking place in Bay Ridge? Would he have singled out any other religious minority? Not a chance. On the contrary, de Blasio has committed to serve 500,000 free halal meals to Muslims during Ramadan.
He gave 10 million dollars to notorious jihad Jew hater Linda Sarsour’s organization. He is a long time supporter of anti-semitic causes. Democrats and their running dogs in the media have normed Jew hatred and violence against Jews.

New York City Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio faced instant and widespread backlash late on Monday night over a tweet that singled out the “Jewish community” in threatening arrests for not following social distancing guidelines.

De Blasio’s threat to take action against those who were not following social distancing guidelines comes as his city has been hit harder by the coronavirus than anywhere else in the U.S.

Remember when Franklin Graham’s Samaritan Purse set up a field hospital in Central Park to treat Coronavirus patients, ‘Red Bill’ acted as though Graham and his group were lepers and unwanted interlopers. He’s more worried about people “infected” with Christianity than with, say, transgenderism – let alone the virus.

This situation in NY is somewhat mind blowing for those of us used to NYC being a comfortable home for Jewish people ladywarrior, it’s asif day has been turned into night. Maybe it’s time to dig out all the strongest protest banners and draw them on.
Thankyou for your kind words the other day regarding our son, in case you missed my reply to you, I enclose it here. An RTA is a road traffic accident ladywarrior. He died on his M/C due to another pulling out in front of him when too close.
I regard all with Autism as very strangely shaped keys each one being unique, and all we have to do is persevere until we find that strange shaped lock into which fits the made to measure key.
When each finds what it is he or she is good at, each really can “move the world” and because of their years of inner doubts or misgivings, they never forget those who showed the required empathetic support , love and kindness. Their returned love to others and us is our dividend.
