Chirlane McCray, who has just been revealed as a world-class pilferer of taxpayer funds, and her team spent an eye-popping $900 million — and nobody seems to have a clue on what. Nobody kept receipts; the subways and street corners are still overrun with crazy people, and nobody in charge knows what’s to happen next. And yet the mayor defended the decision to put his wife in charge of that council, saying that her work with the boondoggle ThriveNYC made her qualified because of the ideas she generated, including a $250-million-a-year mental health plan.
Right up there with co-Mayor Bill, who started the week on his own sour note — announcing thaRed Bill appoints his t his signature Renewal school program was closing up shop after pounding $773 million down a rathole.
Well, he didn’t actually say “rathole,” and the price tag has doubtless been lowballed — but he also had no credible explanation for the debacle, nor did he apologize for it.

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, will head up a special coronavirus task force that looks into racial inequality as part of his plan to reopen the city.
He added that he believes it will take more than 20 months to fully rebuild New York City.
As part of that rebuild, de Blasio announced different councils that will focus on reopening. His wife, McCray, will head the racial inequality task force.
The First Lady, 65, will work with Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson in the role that will focus on inclusion and equity to make sure the city ‘rebounds as a better and more just society than the one we left behind,’ de Blasio said.
The mayor defended the decision to put his wife in charge of that council, saying that her work with the embattled ThriveNYC made her qualified because of the ideas she generated, including a $250-million-a-year mental health plan.
‘In terms of fighting inequality, Thrive has gone to that point and in many ways even farther,’ de Blasio said. ‘I think that’s exactly the kind of mindset needed for this task force.’
However, critics have said that the ThriveNYC is ineffective. It’s not clear how much McCray will be paid to lead the new initiative.
McCray will work with Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson in the role that will focus on inclusion and equity to make sure the city ‘rebounds as a better and more just society than the one we left behind,’ de Blasio said
During today’s press conference, de Blasio also said that rebuilding will take the next 20 months of his administration and ‘then far beyond that’.
‘We’ve got a lot of work to do. And it’s going to be for me and my team a nonstop effort, a race to the finish line over these next 20 months to do the most we can to put this city on the strongest possible footing for the future,’ he added.
As part of the plan to reopen, a series of working groups will be set up – one of those is the one McCray will head to address ‘transformation’ as the crisis has highlighted ‘many things that are broken in our city and in our country’.
De Blasio said he hopes to have a roadmap by June 1 on how to rebuild the city after the coronavirus threat subsides.
The mayor said that city leaders he’s invited to help plan the city’s recovery should give him the roadmap by then.
He also said the latest statistics on people being treated for COVID-19 continued to be stable or decline.
The number of people in the city’s hospital intensive care units had dropped from 785 to 768.

‘The health indicators have to give us the all clear,’ de Blasio said. ‘We restart when we have evidence. There’s no on-off switch here. It’s a series of careful, smart moves.’
According to the mayor, there will be multiple advisory councils divided up by industry and sector to help get the city back on track.
The councils, which include groups focused on small business, public health and health care, arts, culture and tourism, and labor, will begin meeting in May.
In an interview with Fox News, De Blasio also said that New York City needs a $7.4billion in federal aid to offset economic losses from the coronavirus.
He urged President Donald Trump to push his fellow Republicans in the Senate to back more relief funding for states and cities.
‘The federal government must make us whole for us to be able to be in a position to restart,’ De Blasio told the network.
‘If New York City is not whole, it will drag down the entire region, and it will hold up the entire national economic restart.’
New York has also started to test health care workers for coronavirus antibodies and will do the same next week with transit and law enforcement workers as the state eases away from the worst days of the pandemic.
Doctors, nurses and other employees at four New York City hospitals that have handled high volumes of coronavirus patients will be the first tested under the new program.

There’s quite a non-paper, “paper trail”, wherein nursing homes, both skilled nursing and intermediate care facilities sought “guidance”. Emails show that they stated that they were not prepared for those infected with the Covid-19 virus. Moreover, they were not equipped to isolate these patients. Many emails were to the point of begging to not be forced into this position.
So, a nautical vessel, equipped and specially furnished to accommodate 1000(+) Covid-19 patients was left unused. And, infectious patients were being forced upon facilities that were not equipped to handle this and begged to not being forced into this situation.
A death sentence for the uninfected elderly. Both Andi Cuomo and Wilfred de Blasio … those two guinea negroes have the blood, of many, on their hands.

That’s horrible. Similar things happened in the Yellow Fever epidemic in Philly,1793. Some people took advantage of the situation to exploit the orphaned kids of deceased parents. They collected donation money, then spent it on themselves, while the kids starved in filth. Epidemics can expose great heroism, and terrible wrongs. Cuomo and De Blasio showed poor moral reasoning. Their vindictive refusal of the help that was provided by Trump, ultimately exposed them to charges of genocide.

Tiny small amounts of voter turnout are to blame, but that’s people doing that, not some algorithm gone wild. Bear in mind that Red Bill is on his SECOND TERM. And, since “gay” is a long used term. As recently as the sixties, visiting the Flintstones, one had a “gay old time”. We’ll have to stick the male homosexuals with “shim”, until something more definitive comes along.
I could not care less if less than 2% of the population is homosexual or if it’s (fill in the blank) percentage. Fair is fair. And, if female homosexuals get their own term … and female heterosexuals are “straight” … We’ll have to simply call male heterosexuals “men”.

It’s shocking how people let their EMOTIONS rules them. They are so easily conned. Their intentions maybe honorable BUT they like the person and feel the need to defend them. They may not realize it but they are keeping the LIE alive by doing this and now propagating the LIE to little kids as part of their curriculmn in K-12 and higher education.
At some point, I have to ask, don’t straight kids matter? Why ignore evidence that it is a learned behavior? Why not examine the abuse that lead them to this choice? Why BAN LBGTQ+ therapy when it has helped people heal and return to being a heterosexual, the life God wants for them?

First, ask why is sexuality even being taught in public schools? If someone is a homosexual, why even bring that up? If someone is heterosexual, that should be of no concern to the school Cross-dressing …hey, who in the world would be stupid enough to brag about that? Just live and let live.
2/3rds of the problems, today, are due to people bragging about their sexuality. If someone’s a homosexual, why do they think that I need to be informed? I don’t brag about being heterosexual … hell, it never comes up in conversation(s).

The best sex-ed, ever, was the good ol’ fashioned shotgun wedding. As long as the girl was under the age of consent, even if the boy was a year younger … wedding bells (typically, no wedding bells …. just a Justice of the Peace) did chime.
I recall a school mate, a year behind me. He was fifteen and the girl was sixteen … almost seventeen (age of consent) … It was marry her or go to jail. They got married. He dropped out and got some gas station job (they still pumped gas, checked oil, and tire pressure). They took some above a store front dive apartment.
Weren’t too many girls that got pregnant, in the years following.

It’s almost always useful to consider the background rate. Humans usually ignore it, and that reasoning error causes massive decision failures. E.G., schizophrenics comprise about 1% of the US population, and they get little public attention. But lesbians comprise about the same percentage of the population [when you add in the non-lesbian male half of the population], and lesbians are considered major parts of society. They aren’t, they are very minor.

Two things caught me immediately about this. First, nepotism seems to be fine with Democrats or when Democrats do this. Look at their reaction when Trump assigned posts to members of his family, and they didn’t screw up or accept payment.
Second, stop pushing the idea that there is vast and far reaching ethnic inequality or racism. Act and behave as its a very minor part of society. Maybe, just maybe people will stop judging each other by race and stop calling everything racist if the governments didn’t stoke the fires.

However, since the Death of Jesus Christ, and since more than 150 and especially 70 years it is mostly Christians of all colors fighting for The Human Rights, and against discrimination, slavery, Neo-Colonialism, racism.
And as far as I know, the only people who permanently, deliberately and enthusiastically support slavery worldwide, are the followers of the stone-age brutal ideology of Islam, muslims.

Murder, Burglary Soars in New York City During Coronavirus Lockdown

Over the last 28 days, in the middle of the lockdown, murders in New York City have jumped more than 55 percent compared to this same time last year, when there were no lockdown orders in place.
Between April 13 to April 19, murders increased 100 percent compared to the same week last year. From year-to-date, murders are up by 5.7 percent.
Likewise, grand larceny auto — a crime that no longer warrants bail in New York — has increased more than 53 percent compared to last year. Specifically, there have been 500 charges for auto theft in the last 28 days. During that same time in 2019, there were 326 charges for auto theft.
Over the last week, grand larceny auto crimes across the city have jumped 50.5 percent and they are up more than 62 percent overall since the year before — the largest spike in crime year-to-date for any major category.

Burglaries are up by 25 percent in the last 28 days and up by more than 36 percent in the last week. From January 1 to April 19, burglaries are up 27.1 percent compared to this same time last year.

The lockdown has dwindled the number of shootings and shooting victims in New York City but the overall year-to-date totals are still up. For instance, the number of shooting victims from January 1 to April 19 has increased 5.5 percent and total shootings have increased 4.1 percent compared to last year.
At the beginning of the year, Cuomo implemented bail reform laws that eliminated bail for suspects accused of second-degree manslaughter, aggravated vehicular assault, third-degree assault, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, criminally negligent homicide, aggravated vehicular homicide, and about 100 other crimes.
