US may reduce intel with Mideast countries who criminalize homosexuality
Intelligence chief says laws that ban same-sex relations are not “an American value”

Story continues below advertisementBERLIN – The acting Director of National Intelligence for the US government, Richard Grenell, may curb intelligence-sharing with Middle East countries that continue to criminalize same-sex relations.
According to a Wednesday New York Times report, Grenell said, “We can’t just simply make the moral argument and expect others to respond in kind because telling others that it’s the right thing to do doesn’t always work,” adding that “to fight for decriminalization is to fight for basic human rights.”
Grenell added that “we have the president’s total support. This is an American value, and this is United States policy.”
The Times reported that Grenell said, “If a country that we worked in as the United States intelligence community was arresting women because of their gender, we would absolutely do something about it,” adding that “ultimately, the United States is safer when our partners respect basic human rights.”Grenell spoke at a protest against the Iranian regime-sponsored Al-Quds march in Berlin, which calls for the obliteration of Israel, last year.
In 2019, Grenell intensely worked to secure a Bundestag resolution urging Chancellor Angela Merkel’s administration to outlaw the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah’s entire operation in Germany.
Lebanon’s penal code outlaws “all sexual relations contrary to the laws of nature” and has been applied to detain and prosecute gay men and transsexual women.
Middle East countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia impose the death penalty on homosexuals. The proposed levelling of intelligence-sharing could affect 69 nations, most of which are in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa, according to the Times.
After the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, defended his regime’s law to execute gays and lesbians last year, Grenell told The Jerusalem Post at the time: “The UN’s Declaration of Human Rights makes clear that these answers from the Iranian regime are violating basic UN principles. UN members should agree with the Declaration in order to be members. Criminalizing homosexuality violates the Declaration, plain and simple.”Grenell is the first openly gay cabinet member in the history of US government.
The Times reported that “Mr. Grenell would not say whether the administration was considering withholding additional cooperation, or ratcheting back current intelligence sharing with countries that criminalize homosexuality. His office is forming a group to review the issue and develop ideas, intelligence officials said.”
Hadi Damien, the founder of Lebanon’s Beirut Pride group, who was present at meetings in Berlin with Grenell, said the intelligence director suggested foreign funding could be used as part of a carrot-and-stick strategy to influence countries to decriminalize homosexuality, the paper wrote.

What absurdity to restrict sharing on Homosexuality, they should have done heaps against Islam for attacking Christians, Jews and others. Don’t use a back door with Homosexuality

Intl sharing? That’s a sick joke. Any intel sharing with these people is strictly a one way street. I’ll know we are serious when we stop putting troops on the ground altogether in order to support and defend this or that sharia compliant government. To use a Cold War analogy, we never considered using the US Armed Forces to support and defend countries we considered to be moderate communists.

Since the Democrats are traitors and the Republicans are LIMP-D-cks, deportation will never happen.
The best and fastest way to remove Islam is through conversion back to the religion of their ancestors who were conquered. This will be popular with them, regardless of their country of origin. In concert with that, you need a federal law that deports the Imam of any person who physically attacks them due to their conversion. The law would also deport the immediate family members of that person doing the attack, unless they convert away from Islam in order to stay. You then get the “prisoners” of Islam to voluntarily walk away, steadily removing the Islamic cancer.

I think it is an ‘American value’ to allow someone to make their own choices without being hung and/or tossed off a height for it. In that sense it’s just another aspect of not giving in to sharia bs. And I am pretty sure that’s what he was saying, not that homosexuality in itself is anything but lust.
It doesn’t hurt me, and all the gays I have met or interacted with have been nice people. That’s where it stops with me.

I used to think that way too before I saw how it is pushed on little kids. They re grooming KIDS for this liefestyle choice! You don’t have to be an “activist” to want your lifestyle choice AFFIRMED and EMBRACED by ALL. LBGTQ+ on the sidelines also want this. It’s human to want to be acceptable but there are activities that are NOT acceptable such as LBGTQ+ for a healthy society.
Stop being fooled. Activist or sideliners WANT it accepted and embraced by all. In fact ALL of them want this normalized. ALL of them want this to be acceptable. Now they are part of a “protected class” with more rights than straight heterosexuals! They’d like heterosexuals to be considered abnormal. That’s how extreme things have become.

this is the problem created by allowing homosexuals in our government. grenell is a homosexual, and now he is making the homosexual agenda part of our foreign policy? how is that important to america’s interests? homosexuality is a sin, a sin especially abhored by God; the Torah and the Bible are clear on this. Until about a generation ago in america, it ruled you out for government service and was a crime to act out homosexual impulses. this is like a black government official demanding that foreign governments have a certain percentage of black faces….stupid. islam is evil, but america should be aligned with them regarding the evil that is homosexuality.
