As News Gets Better, Dems Get Worse: Illinois Gov. Pritzker EXTENDS LOCKDOWN order through end of May

As the news gets better, the Democrats get worse. The last thing President Trump should do is bail out these failures. No bail outs for bankrupt, mismanaged states.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker has extended the state’s stay-at-home order through the end of May, with some modifications, designating new essential businesses and allowing some nonessential businesses to restart certain operations as the state grapples with coronavirus.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker has extended the state’s stay-at-home order through the end of May, with some modifications, designating new essential businesses and allowing some nonessential businesses to restart certain operations as the state grapples with coronavirus.

Pritzker on Thursday announced he would sign a modified order “based on data from scientists and health experts,” which would go into effect on May 1.

“Make no mistake, Illinois has saved lives. By staying home and social distancing, we have kept our infection and death rates for the months of March and April thousands below the rates projected had we not implemented these mitigation strategies,” the Democratic governor said in a statement. “I know how badly we all want our normal lives back. But this is the part where we have to dig in and understand that the sacrifices we’ve made as a state to avoid a worst-case scenario are working — and we need to keep going a little while longer to finish the job.”

Pritzker also announced that the state is projected to see a peak or plateau of deaths per day from coronavirus in late April and early May, but noted that if the stay-at-home order were lifted this week, the model “anticipates a second wave of the outbreak in Illinois starting in May, which would claim tens of thousands of lives and greatly exceed the state’s hospital capacity.”

The new executive order will allow a phased reopening of state parks and will allow fishing and boating in groups of no more than two people. The order will also allow residents to go “under strict safety guidelines” and when social distancing is followed.

The order also designates several new essential businesses, including greenhouses, garden centers and nurseries, as well as animal grooming services — which are all required to follow social distancing and enforce the use of face coverings.

Retail stores, under the order, are still considered nonessential businesses but are allowed to reopen for telephone and online orders through pickup outside the store and delivery.

The order also requires that all individuals wear a face covering or a mask when in a public setting where they are unable to maintain a 6-foot distance. Those face coverings will be required in areas such as stores, and applies to all individuals over the age of 2 “who are able to medically tolerate a face covering or mask.”

TRUMP PUSHES BACK AGAINST CDC DIRECTOR’S WARNING ABOUT CORONAVIRUS SECOND WAVE

The order also states that essential businesses and manufacturers will be required to provide face coverings to all employees, as well as follow new social distancing guidelines that include occupancy limits and precautions such as staggering shifts and operating only essential lines for manufacturers.

As for schools, the order allows educational institutions to establish procedures for pickup of necessary supplies or student belongings. The order also requires move-outs from dormitories to follow public health guidelines, including social distancing.

Pritzker also said Thursday that the Illinois Department of Public Health would issue guidance to hospitals to allow for certain elective surgeries for non-life-threatening conditions, beginning May 1. The order, though, states that the facilities would need to meet specific criteria, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that enough overall space for COVID-19 patients remains available. It also requires facilities to test elective surgery patients to ensure a COVID-19 negative status.

“If the stay-at-home order were lifted this week, death rates and hospitalizations would start rising sharply by the middle of May,” the release from Pritzker’s office stated. “It’s projected that the peak death rate and peak resource needs would be almost as high as if there were never any mitigation measures put in place. Over the course of the current outbreak, the model estimates there would be 5 to 10 times more deaths than we would see if we continued mitigation.”

As of Thursday, Illinois reported more than 35,000 positive cases of COVID-19 and more than 1,500 deaths.

Pritzker’s move comes as several states begin relaxing social distancing measures and begin phase one of the White House’s guidelines to reopen the economy. The guidelines pass the decision on when to move to each phase to governors and local officials.

The Trump administration’s guidelines outline what individuals, businesses, health care workers and more should do over three phases in reopening the economy, with states making it to the first phase only if they see a decrease in the number of cases within their borders for 14 consecutive days.

If the virus was actually a hoax the Democrats could prove it by letting the virus rip in their states to show that it doesn’t cause any harm to worry about, and then point a finger at President Trump and call him a liar and a tyrant. They would never pass on that kind of opportunity, ever. They are trapped in their own smear and fear campaign because they are responsible for the death in their own states (President Trump didn’t take over everything as they wanted him to). They know the virus is real because their comrades released it. President Trump gave governors the opportunity to prove it a hoax and they passed on that opportunity.

The Democrats must have a second wave of infections to use this virus as the excuse to hold the next election by mail (states where Democrats absolutely must win). Voting by mail is the reason for this virus, and taking the WH is the goal of voting by mail. They want mass protests against their own policies so they can blame the protestors for the second wave of infections that they MUST have.

All the insanity since 2016 is to take the power of the WH. This virus is part of that effort. The Democrats MUST win at any cost to anyone.

From being “The Apex” of the Covid-19 virus, the Republic of Korea hardly even makes the charts. Other than closing public schools and having new entries self-quarantine for fourteen days, the government did not mandate the closure of any businesses. It didn’t require, or even recommend, the wearing of masks.

One thing that they did do was, most physicians started prescribing quinine malaria drugs, zinc, and antibiotic cocktails as early as February. A personal friend of mine wrote his first prescription for that cocktail on February 12th.

So, tell me what good “social distancing” does, or has done.

Remember, logic dictates: IF – THEN.

I don’t know the validity of your claim. I don’t trust much information about this from any source overseas (or here for that matter). I’m not saying it is untrue.

Part of the problem with the virus is rapid spread that overwhelms local medical facilities, and it does do that, so your view from hindsight across the Pacific ignores what we actually saw here. Anything done to lessen the rapid spread is a good thing.

To ask what social distancing does suggests you think the virus is not spread by close contact with infected people. You can catch it talking to someone face to face.

To ask what social distancing has done is suggesting that it hasn’t done anything. How do you know it hasn’t done anything?

An observation in hindsight is easy and without risk, but a decision without the benefit of hindsight is a tough and risky.

How did they know that would be effective against a new virus? It appears they either knew something that no one else knew, or they were willing to take a risk.

The size and geography and many other differences between S. Korea and the USA certainly play a role.

Was it prescribed as a prophylactic?

Was it prescribed as a treatment to anyone who tested positive?

Was it prescribed to close contacts of people who tested positive?

If we’re not prescribing drugs that prevent/minimize infections from this virus then we have to use other means to prevent/minimize infections.

What would the press and Democrats say if we started using drugs that were not FDA approved for this virus? Who would take the blame for every single bad reaction if we did do that? How many “experts” would be on TV suggesting to the public that the federal government is experimenting on them?

If we didn’t have the quantity of drugs necessary to treat the USA as SK did then we wouldn’t have been able to do the same thing they did. I don’t know if we had the quantity that would be necessary. I suspect a large quantity of malaria drugs are always available in SE Asia in general, and a large quantity of those drugs are always available in S.K., and a large quantity of those drugs are always available at our military bases there. The population of SK is much lower than the USA, so if they would have enough of those drugs on hand.

First, NK is NOT the Republic of Korea. Moreover, that peninsula is NOT in Southeast Asia.

I don’t know about hospitals are being overrun. Cleveland Clinic bed count is LESS than half of normal, and NOWHERE near capacity.

Even reading stories about New York, the hospitals never even came close to capacity.

When there is NO FDA approved drug for treatment of Covid-19, are you going to stand by and watch people die, just because an FDA clinical trial hasn’t approved a particular treatment?

Sounds as if you relish the thought of thousands of people dying.

Dr. Kim, Min Soo started prescribing that cocktail, to his patients, as early as February 12th. He treated those that had symptoms and those that tested positively. Moreover, they found .. and this was related to the West … that placing Covid-19 patients on ventilators did a great deal of harm. When blood counts became lowered, they found giving oxygen to have better, and FAR less harmful, effects than ventilators.

They had drive-up tests as before February ended. They weren’t free, unless you tested positive. But, they were reasonably priced.

All of this with no government mandated shutdowns or ordered “social distancing”.

One time out of 4 I typed NK instead of SK by mistake….so wow, I’m busted. I’ll fix that so I don’t confuse the whole world.

No one said every hospital would be overrun, and the fact that they weren’t at least suggests that mitigation worked. In NYC where mitigation lagged, it became a nightmare, so you cherry picked results.

“Sounds as if you relish the thought of thousands of people dying.”
Where did you pull that out of? Nice cheap shot…

You didn’t answer questions, you just added more accusations and hindsight observations.

OK, then what about The Republic of Korea being located in Southeast Asia?

What and where did you find “nightmares”?

Where did I pull out that HONEST assessment to your “comment”. It was an honest assessment NOT a cheap shot. If you aren’t going to follow the proven Korean treatment(s), what FDA approved drug do you propose?

I saw no actual questions. Simply posturing. Empty posturing.

I see that you have edited your original comment. Isn’t that cute? ”
I suspect a lar ge quantity of malaria drugs are always available in SE Asia in general, and a large quantity of those drugs are always available in S.K.,”
What “hasn’t done anything”?
How did they know? They didn’t. One physician tried it and it worked. Medical journals and world-of-mouth made the usage widespread. Unfortunately, in this nation (USA) of decision tree “doctors”, if an answer
isn’t found on their decision tree program, they’re helpless and hopeless.
Physicians are supposed to be in the business of treating the sick, easing pain, and saving lives. How many years has someone, suffering from lupus, been on this, or similar, medication with no long term side effects? Do no harm, but attempt to do good.
Who would take responsibility for every single bad reaction? I would assume the same doctors that are prescribing it for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
As far as the cocktails wide spread use, from what I have read and what I have been told by Dr. Kim, Min Soo .. let’s just deal with him.
He has given it to patients that have been tested positive. If they have gone to a roadside, drive-up testing and come to his clinic, he cautions them, tells them that this is not a known cure, but is being prescribed by everyone the he knows and has had amazing curative effects. And, it’s up to them to take it or not. He goes further, by telling him that there is no proven cure, but the efficacy is very high.
I know of no one that he has given it to as a prophylactic. It’s inexpensive and large quantities can be manufactured in a very fast fashion.
We used to talk about three times a month. But, when this virus hit the news, heavily for Korea, we started conversing more frequently. I don’t use the video portion of kakao talk, as he’s hardly aged a day, in the past three decades. I, on the other hand, show my sixty-six years. He’s emailed my quite a bit of medical write-ups/finding/information. They’ve all been in hangul. I would try and translate them, but my hanguk mal may be decent, but my translating ain’t.

Read the first 3 sentences in my first reply to you again. Read the 3rd sentence a couple extra times.

What “hasn’t done anything”?
That’s from my first reply to you, Brighteyes:
To ask what social distancing has done is suggesting that it hasn’t done anything. How do you know it hasn’t done anything?

I explained the edit. I edited one letter, from N to S (you pointed out my typing error), and I did that so you’d stop wetting your pants over a type error, especially when I referenced SK a number of other times in the comment. It really doesn’t matter because malaria is in both North and South Korea, and that is context…

This doctor who says the drug works, didn’t happen to have enough in his pocket to treat the USA did he?

Did this doctor happen to convince people across the globe that it would work on COVID-19 before the virus spread everywhere?

How would this doctor KNOW what would work on a brand new virus? He might know now, but now is too late because it left China a long time ago.

How did he KNOW there wouldn’t be any complications from using it to treat this virus specifically, before the outbreak?

In SK, a lot of people have probably used malaria drugs (because malaria is there), and they would already know if they had any adverse effects from the drug itself, so that risk would be much less in a broad use across that country.

Did you look at the malaria map? I also used the SE Asia reference because I know it is an area where malaria is a big problem, and that big problem doesn’t just end on a line created by a name on a map. As you can see on the map, malaria IS IN SOUTH KOREA, but it’s quite as bad as it is farther south in Asia, so again, the medicine would be more available there than in the USA where malaria is virtually nonexistent. Did you happen to notice how much malaria is in the USA when you looked at that map? The US population is about 6 times higher than SK. That’s a big difference, and with virtually no malaria here, how much malaria medicine do you suppose we would have here at any given time? We prove what works and what doesn’t before we prescribe it in mass. We ordered that medicine in large quantities, in case it is proven effective. We DIDN’T have enough to use it across the nation.

“Who would take responsibility for every single bad reaction?” I didn’t say anyone would, I pointed out the fact that the venomous MSM would say President Trump is to blame. Do you not see the political angle there? Do you not know that the MSM is a propaganda machine the serves the Democrat Party?

You’re really venomous. I won’t waste any more time with you on this subject.

I’m over 60, so you can put that one back in the holster…..

You are right, Kendall. The hospitals in NYC were not and are not overrun. There’s large outpatient, urgent care facility of Mt. Sinai Hospital a few blocks from where I live. It has looked like “business as usual” from the time this overblown flu panic started. No lines of the sick and distraught screaming to get in, no one dropping dead in the street, no ambulances backed up outside. Just dead quiet all around. The city is a ghost town, and who knows if it will ever recover. No matter, though. The idiot, drunk on power vicious Gov. Cuomo along with the equally half-wit vile Mayor DeGoofio want to continue battering the citizens and remaining businesses with insane regulations as long as possible.

Virtually all hospitals in the country are less than half their usual census. They are furloughing employees because they can’t make any money because of fear mongering. The reason the lame stream press doesn’t tell us who is dying is because they want us all to think we have no chance of survival if we get this. When in reality, with all the new studies of antibodies coming out, this appears to be about as deadly as the normal flu at .1% of the population. The fact it is more contagious means nothing if 80% have zero to mild symptoms and barely any that get it need hospitalization.

Meantime it is proved that the WUHAN-COVID-19 was spread as a biological warfare against US and other countries, which killed ten thousands of people.
(Italy, Spain, NYC are hot spots for special reasons, which will be revealed in short time)

HOWEVER: It is since weeks clearly and thousands of times proved and published by “lobby-free” and worldwide most reliable and reputable scientists and physicians – who are in no way linked to the perfidious and murderous WHO-managers – that this virus is not more dangerous than other influenza viruses, most likely less dangerous!

The measures against COVID-19 must not be different from the ones used in case of an Influenza Endemic, which means that the Dem governors are not just “wrong”, but are spreading false information against better knowledge!

Those Dem scumbags use their power not to assist and protect the people, but to slander and to defeat Trump in order do regain their power over USA.
Under the actual circumstances the governmental liars and traitors should be indicted and put not just in jail for violating the constitution and human rights, but to be held responsible for the economical and social damages which they are causing deliberately.
