Mississippi mayor cancels fines to churchgoers as DOJ intervenes in coronavirus dispute

AG Barr says cities can’t single out churches during pandemic lockdown if they let other businesses operate similarly.

By Alex Nitzberg, Just The News, April 14, 2020:

The Justice Department on Tuesday filed a statement of interest supporting a Greenville, Mississippi, church where some people recently received $500 tickets at a drive-in style service at which they listened to the sermon on their car radios with their windows rolled up amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Attorney General William Barr emphasized in the statement that social distancing practices are important during the health crisis and that while some temporary restrictions on liberties are constitutional when applied even-handedly, but religious institutions cannot be singled-out.

“The City of Greenville fined congregants $500 per person for attending these parking lot services – while permitting citizens to attend nearby drive-in restaurants, even with their windows open,” Barr wrote. “The City appears to have thereby singled churches out as the only essential service (as designated by the state of Mississippi) that may not operate despite following all [Centers for Disease Control] and state recommendations regarding social distancing.”

Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons said on Monday that those issued citations will not have to pay the fines.

The religious liberty controversy comes as restrictions are placed on activities across the country amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The city of Greenville issued an order on April 7 that barred drive-in church services. The fines were given to people at Temple Baptist Church on April 8. “Only those members who refused to leave were issued citations,” the mayor said.

The mayor also said Monday that the order will remain in place, though he wants “definitive guidance on drive-in and parking lot services” from the state’s governor considering both CDC guidelines and the state’s shelter-in-place order.

The issue is not CDC recommendations. Its the deliberate targetting of christians while allowing others free run.

Left/Lib pro-jihadis are also suppressing conservative, patriots chritsian posts that exposes the crimes they commit and allow jihadis/illegals to continue !

Like this news of brutal gang rape of swedish girl and what they did to her is even worse
http://offtrade.net/cnmnews/muslim-gang-rape-light-fire-vagina/

But it was suppressed /played down !

It appears as if Barr, and his DOJ, are getting everything “open”, just in time for Ram-a-Dong.

There will be NO interference with Rumadum and those who wish to participate. Why, the governors and mayors where they are located, will probably go on a Rumadum celebration amongst all the filthies. Kind of like Piglosi went to Chinatown in SF a few weeks back. You know, to show “solidarity.” Vomit!

No one is interfering now. It’s only Christian churches that are being harrassed and violated.

And Jewish synagogues are not far behind in being so targeted.

They target them drectly when they least expect it. I remember when growing up we’d see a huge snake like line of cars going to a house of worship or a cemetary. We’d wait patiently at the light and were taught to say a silent prayer for those who lost a loved one. That was also applied to when an ambulance was speeding by to get to a hospital. Today neither is respected. When you remove God, you give EVIL a stronger place.

You’re not kidding either, in Californication the atheist teachers and profs indoctrinate their students into atheism and communism — all while ignoring the evil that Communism is while presenting an entirely biased view of Christianity and islum. Then there’s the atheist agenda of transgenderism, which is a disgusting atheist delusion that is being inculcated into CHILDREN.

NOW they want to surveil us via cell phone tracking. Of course violating our INDIVIDUAL right to privacy should be pushed aside for the COLLECTIVE good. I can see the infected social do gooders latching on to this.Oh how they will want to help and not have “anyone experience what they went through… blah, blah, blah… ”

It’s really not voluntary because YOUR phone will be included in the tracking even though you didn’t sign up for it so you can be ALERTED.
I have never seen such twisted BS. We haven’t even stopped censorship on social media and now they want to take advantage of this to remove more rights.

They do want a command and control Orweillian society. Cameras all over on streets etc. lap tops with cameras and they all have them. You have to block it. How that was allowed is beyond me! In New Jersey at least RINO Christie passed the Big Brother Act against it.

Google has been tracking phones for a number of years. I forget which channel did it, but one individual purchased a new Android phone. One of their technicians set up a computer that downloaded all of the signals put out. They ran all over a major city and into a rural area. Around 25% of the time, the phone had been totally turned off. When all of the signals were downloaded, it showed that phones every location … on AND off. “They” don’t need anything new. Your phone already has “an app for that”.

They are using this at many univeristies and colleges – of course because they care about their students. Now they want to track ALL of us – because they “care” about us an the virus transmission. What utter BS! I am happy to say, I have a DUMB cell phone.

Actually, anything manufactured (“smart” or “dumb”) within the past fifteen years has tracking capabilities manufactured into them.

I remember reading Snowden deliberately modifies the electronics of his phones to remove those abilities as well as the snooping ability of the built-in microphones (which he disconnects).

You could always get a Faraday Cage for your smartphone — of course then you can’t make or receive phone calls either.

Let ’em know where I am. What difference does it make? Other than I’m not a free man. But, I’ve been married since ’75. I gave up on freedom a very long time ago.

Gee, how many Gestapo squads have issued citations for members of mosques around the country?

It seems that as the President is talking about opening businesses back up, there are places like this, that appear to be just getting started in their Nazi-like crackdowns. Something stinks about all this.

Indeed, de Bla$$io is so tight with the likes of HAMAS CAIR and Linda “Sharia” Sarsour, he wouldn’t do to mosques what he openly threatened to do to churches and synagogues – which ties in to his hostility to Franklin Graham’s mission over that organization’s treatment of coronavirus patients.

You know it and I know it. But the likes of De Bla$$io are more worried about people being “infected” with Christianity than with, say, transgenderism – never mind coronavirus.

On another front – NO, NO and NO! STOP IT!
They are trying to use this to take away MORE FREEDOM!

This is a Constitutional issue!

Google and Apple Team Up To Track Coronavirus Infecteds;
Phone App Will Warn Others When Near Infecteds

By Brock Simmons
Published April 12, 2020 at 8:56pm

In a rare moment of detente, tech rivals Google and Apple are apparently teaming up with a new strategy to track and surveil Americans.

The tech giants will log people using their phone who have apparently tested positive for Covid 19. The corporations will track where the person goes using their phone, then issue warnings on other people’s phones when they get near an area where an infected person is or has recently been.

This is truly Orwellian. These are the same corporations that regularly discriminate against and censor conservatives.

Versions of coronavirus tracking apps already exist in China, Singapore, Israel and elsewhere, but efforts have been slower in the U.S. and Europe, because of concerns about privacy and because “contact tracing” must be combined with widespread testing in order to work.

The idea is that an app could remember, via anonymous Bluetooth signals, which other phones have been nearby. If someone you had coffee with two days ago tests positive for the coronavirus, you would get a notification along the lines of “you may have recently been exposed” — and advising temporary isolation.

(It’s supposed to be VOLUNTARY by those who were infected. We don’t want to be part of ANY tracking whether we get it or not. By default, you will be tracked via the other phone of the infected even if you don’t want nay parts of it. So it really isn’t “voluntary”. I can see those infected eager to sign up for this and this is taking advantage of that person (social do gooder) and violating your right to privacy.)

In the version of the system set to roll out next month, the operating-system-level Bluetooth tracing would allow users to opt in to a Bluetooth-based proximity-detection scheme when they download a contact-tracing app. Their phone would then constantly ping out Bluetooth signals to others nearby while also listening for communications from nearby phones.

More here:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/04/google-apple-team-track-coronavirus-infecteds-phone-app-will-warn-others-near-infecteds/

You’d be tracked even if you were not infected by those infected and tech giants would have more DATA TO SELL and more money makes them more powerful. NO WAY should this happen. It is guaranteed to be abused. No they don’t “care” about you. It’s all about CONTROL and MONEY. Your INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS should not be ABUSED like this and that is what they are doing. They are substituting GOVERNMENT control via tech companies over your INDIVIDUAL right to privacy. Don’t be fooled.

Of course they do not have to pay the fines. A $500 fine would end up in the Supreme Court and bankrupt the town. Typical authoritarian fear tactics.
