We were smeared and defamed – designated ‘fake news” by social media police for our coverage. As late as yesterday, there was a hashtag mocking anyone who thought the virus could have come from a lab in China driven by fake news CNN headlines like this:
CNN: “And 43% — a plurality, but not an overwhelming majority — said the virus likely came about naturally. This is most likely the truth, according to virus experts.”
30% of Americans believe coronavirus was created in a lab. Which is odd, because they probably don't know what a lab is.

Joint Chiefs chairman: U.S. intel investigating whether coronavirus leaked from Wuhan lab
U.S. intelligence agencies are investigating whether the coronavirus may have leaked from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Tuesday.
Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, the nation’s most senior military officer, told reporters at the Pentagon the initial assessments indicate the coronavirus causing the global pandemic appears to have been a “natural” event arising from animal-to-human transmission.
However, he noted published reports that the origin may have occurred as an escape from a research laboratory.
The comments by the four-star general are the first time a senior American government official publicly raised the prospect that the virus may have originated from a Chinese laboratory.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper, appearing with Gen. Milley, was asked if international inspectors should be stationed at Chinese laboratories in the future. Mr. Esper said it is something that will be looked at in the future as part of a “lessons learned” regarding the pandemic.
The outbreak began Dec. 1 in Wuhan and many of the first victims — but not all — were associated with a wild animal market in the city.

Gene sequencing shows the virus has been traced to bats living in Yunnan caves more than a 1000 miles away from the Wuhan lab that has been researching Coronaviruses since the SARS outbreak funded with $3.7mil grant from the US government under Obama*. The Wuhan Lab submitted its report in 2017.
There are legitimate researches into Coronaviruses in many places around the world. Any of them could experience a viral break at any time. In 1989, a viral research lab in Reston, VA, had a leak of an Ebola virus. There was a great deal of concern at the time because Africans were dying by the hundreds of Ebola. The Reston Ebola virus proved to be non-infectious to humans and a disaster was averted by sheer chance. Safety and containment procedures were tightened, but the research continued.
Research in China must continue as it is the largest reservoir of Coronaviruses for it is the only way to deal with future outbreaks which will surely happen and people will again complain that no one was prepared. We cannot be prepared without the research and the research needs the labs of China. That the CCP probably took advantage of the pandemic is a completely different matter.

No question the ChiComs can turn a crisis to their advantage. I read recently, the last few days, that the ChiComs stopped all research on Covid19 because there were stories coming out that China was responsible for what happened, meaning the Chinese Communist Party which badly bungled containment in the first days of the pandemic when there was a chance of containing it. This will turn into another Tiananmen Square story which is censored out by the ChiCom sensors and participants never heard about again.

Whatever happened to the 400 people arrested in Hong Kong in January? R they still alive? Or R they among the corona virus victims? After all, the ChiComs can’t put a killer virus to waste if they have dissidents to eliminate.

I believe that Dean Koontz wrote a novel about this virus originating out of Wuhan several years ago.

Strangely enough M it seems to be killing a lot of moslems off here as the dark ones lack the vitamin D to fight the virus off because they’re not in their naturally sunny climate. There’s always a bright side????

Mark my words, the coronavirus was a failed biological weapons experiment gone haywire. It was wildly successful at killing people but got out of control.
Remember from Watergate, the cover-up is worse than the crime.

I believe I read on this site that they were collecting bat-droppings at a place called Shitou Cave to study in the lab. A-haaaaa….it was Professor Plum in the lab AND the Shit-ou Cave, with the batsh!t !!!!!

Whenever I see the word, “intelligence” associated with a government agency or branch, the less confidence I have in them having any “intelligence”. Recall the Boston Marathon bomber and how our “intelligence” community along with the FBI, gave the Muslim and his family a “clean bill of health” after Russia warned us about the specific family.
