I know the news moves very fast these days, but don’t let it be forgotten that Nancy Pelosi insisted on the Kennedy Center receiving $25,000,000 before she would give a dime of relief to Americans.

CBS:House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was named the recipient of this year’s Profile in Courage Award by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. The award, which has been called the Nobel Prize for public figures, is given for an act, or a lifetime, of political courage.
In a statement, Caroline Kennedy called Pelosi “the most important woman in American political history.”
The first female to be elected Speaker, and the first person elected Speaker in non-consecutive terms in over 60 years, Pelosi has served in the House of Representatives since 1987. The California Democrat worked with a Republican president to pass an economic bailout package in 2008, and with a Democratic president to pass landmark healthcare reform in 2010, despite strong opposition in both cases.

However as he was never president it is moot point but I doubt hat he would have been honest as no one in the Kennedy seemed to be.(except the oldest son who never had a chance to be dishonest)

4 years agoNo surprise there. The Kennedy Library Profiles in Courage Award is a joke. They once gave it to Gerald Ford. Ford was a member of the Warren Commission. He did more than his share to see to it that the Commission reached its pre-ordained conclusion no matter how much evidence came their way that did not support that conclusion. Ford was J Edgar Hoover’s man on the inside. Ford came up with some wordsmithing that relocated one of JFK’s wounds so the “magic bullet” theory would be at least be a little bit believable. Giving this award to Pelosi is just a joke, giving it to Ford was a sick joke.

4 years agoI was not aware that Caroline Kennedy could utter words of more than one syllable, let alone string together a full sentence. As for Nancy Lugosi receiving the “Prize,” the prize now rnks right up there with the meaningless Nobel and Pulitzer.
