NBC News faced a wave of accusations that it was doing the Chinese government’s bidding by tweeting on Tuesday that it had not reported coronavirus deaths while the U.S. saw more than 1,000 overnight.
“U.S. reports 1,264 coronavirus deaths in over 24 hours. Meanwhile in China, where the pandemic broke out, not a single new coronavirus death was reported,” the tweet read.
Skepticism about China’s numbers has swirled throughout the crisis, fueled by official efforts to quash bad news in the early days and a general distrust of the government. Long lines of people waiting to collect the ashes of loved ones at funeral homes revived the debate.

“NBC goes all-in on communist propaganda,” conservative commentator Dan Bongino said. The controversy came after a tense exchange in which MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle pressed Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on his criticism of journalists using China’s numbers.
“Some in our media can’t contain their glee & delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #China,” Rubio tweeted last week. “Beyond being grotesque, its bad journalism We have NO IDEA how many cases China really has but without any doubt its significantly more than why they admit to.” The tweet received plenty of backlash but Rubio stood by his statement during his MSNBC interview.

Ruhle seemed incredulous when she asked Rubio about this tweet. “I need to ask you this, because I’m a journalist. We’re not just some personalities. You called out journalism. And I need to understand why on earth you did this,” she said.
Rubio previously tweeted out a series of posts that showed media figures mocking the administration and America’s interest in being “Number 1.” He also indicated to Ruhle that journalists were threatening U.S. national security by repeating Chinese “propaganda.”
NBC previously faced backlash for an article suggesting that China was emerging as a “global leader” during the pandemic. The article, titled “As U.S. struggles to stem coronavirus, China asserts itself as global leader,” starts by highlighting Chinese aid to Italy.
“With Italy in dire need of medical equipment, an economic superpower stepped in to help. No, not the United States,” the article read. “It was China.”
NBC did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
There is no smoking gun pointing to a cover-up by China’s ruling Communist Party. But intentional or not, there is reason to believe that more people died of COVID-19 than the official tally. In a classified report released to the White House, three U.S. intelligence officers concluded that China has concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, underreporting both total cases and fatalities from the disease. Bloomberg, which first wrote about the report, cited the officers who said they alerted the White House to Beijing’s misleading numbers. Two of the three sources called the numbers flat-out fake.

I get tired of how biased the main stream media is and how they propagate lies. The truth is that the leaders of the People’s Republic of China are members of the Chinese Communist Party and these leaders are liars. They lied and tried to cover up this coronavirus epidemic when it started. They are lying now about the number cases of coronavirus in China. The real numbers are far greater than what the Chinese are telling us. The lies of the leadership of China greatly contributed to the extent of this epidemic.

Yes, I just read this morning in an article from Taiwan which stated that the Chinese are actually putting live folks in body bags and sending them live to the crematorium to make room for new cases of virus. Of course this is unsubstantiated but it seems believable given how they have been lying. Communism is pure evil.

NBCs deliberate and calculated capitulation to the criminal Chinese Communist regime should surprise no one with a functioning brain. Our entire MSM including NBC and Bloomberg have been cheerleaders for the globalists for years.
The American MSM now views China as an extension of the American media market. Why piss off huge global advertisers like Coca Cola and Starbucks with unpleasant stories about the murderous scum that run China.
Lets just pretend the Communists aren’t burying and cremating well over 100,000 dead, and in some cases, cremating people who are still alive. Yep, its happening.

I assure you I’m not absolving Comcast of culpability. Just not enough room here to describe all of the corporate ownership in MSM. AT&T is clearly responsible for CNN. I keep encouraging AT&T mobile subscribers to switch carriers in protest of CNN.
The average person in our country is too busy leading their life and raising their kids to fully appreciate how evil these media companies are.

I never knew that. Maybe AT&T should just sell off CNN at a loss or maybe even better do what corporate raiders did in the 1990’s sell off pieces and assets of CNN to everyone and destroy it forever more.

Until AT&T stockholders make noise and demand that management sell off CNN, aint gonna happen. Over the past 5 years, AT&T stock value has declined by over 5%. Over the same period, the DJIA has increased by 33% so in what has been until 8 weeks ago a raging bull market for the past 5 years, AT&T has performed poorly compared to the largest companies in America. Clearly, their stockholders have very little say in how the company is run. As a result of the Time Warner acquisition, the company also has massive debt.

So True, I was shocked to see Florida allow the criminal ATT buy out of Bell South, after ATT was sued in California for deliberately defrauding their customers. I moved and was glad to be away from them and’ then…………………Another Politician paid off not protecting the people.

All the public wants is factual news stories presented with some degree of perspective. Instead, all we get is agenda-driven propaganda, the dangers of which should be painfully obvious.

Noah Oppenheim, President of NBC News, and Andrew Lack, Chairman NBC Universal News Group, are running the NBC brand into the ground, in a race to the bottom with Jeff Zucker at CNN.
Oppenheimer and Lack are fresh off the scandal for having spiked the Epstein and Weinstein sexual predation stories, and are now carrying water for the CPC.
Together, they will discredit American journalism for a generation.
The only mystery in any of this is why there is surprise about the explosion of anti-Semitism, both here and abroad.

No, I do not believe Garfinkel is saying Jews are responsible for disinformation, but you can be certain that when the SHTF the Jews will once again be the scapegoats. I have never seen such virulent antisemitism coming from the left and right as we see today. On the other hand, there can be NO greater patriots than Savage, Levin, Cohen, Geller. Miller, Kirschner, and many many others.

Do the executives and Board of Comcast care? Comcast owns NBC and is responsible for its lies and acting as a propaganda organ of the CCP. Oppenheimer and Lack are not going to do anything. Their paychecks from the CCP might get cut off. Its Comcast who has to step in and clean up this mess; otherwise they are also organs of the CCP.

Over 42,000 funeral urns delivered to Wuhan; the local crematoria running 24/7, and the government sending in 10 portable crematoria with a possible 90 more. Is this an exercise, a practice, or because the numbers of dead were so greatly under reported?
This is public and reported by Wuhan residents. What has NBC and company missed? Oh wait, Orange Man Bad, and anything to help discredit or take him down is “fair and reasonable” reporting. Yea. Right. Just don’t call out China and make it’s leadership lose face. We wouldn’t want to discredit them, now would we, NBC?

How is it that COVID-19 spread to Tehran, Madrid, and New York but somehow never made Beijing? They’re reporting fewer than a dozen deaths. According to The Lancet – “As of March 18, 2020, 13 415 confirmed cases and 120 deaths related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in mainland China, outside Hubei province—the epicentre of the outbreak—had been reported.” I’ve read reports that “wet markets” are still operating in China, why haven’t they been shut down? Is it because the Chinese government knows the virus didn’t come from the markets? Were they able to limit its spread in China because they knew its potential from the beginning? Why did the Winnie the Dictator mention lab safety in his early pronouncements on the corona virus? Did they tighten internal travel in China but purposefully spew travelers on the rest of the world’s competing economies?
