Los Angeles doctor says ‘very ill’ patients ‘basically symptom-free’ after taking Trump-touted drug

A doctor in Los Angeles said he is seeing viability in a drug President Trump has floated as a possible treatment for the coronavirus, despite doubts from some U.S. health experts.

Dr. Anthony Cardillo has been prescribing the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, in combination with zinc, to patients who are experiencing severe symptoms of COVID-19.

Story continues below advertisement

“Every patient I’ve prescribed it to has been very, very ill, and within eight to 12 hours they were basically symptom-free,” Cardillo told ABC7 in Los Angeles. “So clinically, I am seeing a resolution.”

Cardillo noted that the treatment has only been effective if combined with zinc.

“We have to be cautious and mindful that we don’t prescribe it for patients who have COVID who are well,” he said. “It should be reserved for people who are really sick, in the hospital or at home very sick, who need that medication. Otherwise, we’re going to blow through our supply for patients that take it regularly for other disease processes.”

Trump has said the drugs could be an effective way of treating the virus.

“It’s a powerful drug on malaria, and there are scientific works on this. Some strong signs,” Trump said this weekend. “What do you have to lose? If it does work, it would be a shame if we didn’t do it early.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease doctor, has warned, however, there is no evidence the drug works against the coronavirus.

“In terms of science, I don’t think we can definitively say it works,” Fauci said Sunday. “The data are really just at best suggestive. There have been cases that show there may be an effect, and there are others to show there’s no effect.”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York recently issued an executive order limiting doctors in New York state from prescribing antimalarial drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to COVID-19 patients in state-approved clinical trials and for FDA-approved uses as an antimalarial or autoimmune treatment, and then only for a 14-day supply with no refills.

Trump took heat from critics after a man in Arizona died after drinking a form of chloroquine used to clean fish tanks. The man’s wife said he heard of the drug after watching one of the president’s daily press briefings on the virus.

More than 300,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in the United States, and nearly 10,000 people in the U.S. have died as a result of the disease’s spread across the country.

WE NEED more meds. The doc says he won’t Rx hydroxychloroquine for mild cases or for prevention, because of shortages. But we need the meds for that. Mild cases can become severe cases. And the S Koreans just verified that Covid-19 does re-appear in some recovered patients. The meds could fix that too.

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are derived from tree bark, and Sanofi-Aventis should be making truckloads of that stuff.

Aren’t there over 120,000,000 doses currently in stock?

Well then why is that LA doc doling out hydroxychloroquine in such a stingy manner?

Common Anti-Parasite Drug May Kill Coronavirus in Under 48 Hours, Say Researchers
https://www.breitbart.com/border/2020/04/04/common-anti-parasite-drug-may-kill-coronavirus-in-under-48-hours-say-researchers/
This ivermectin could be dynamite. Some people cannot take chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, because of their side effects. So this ivermectin might help them, and it may be possible to ‘stack’ these meds, by combining them. And finally, the ivermectin may be usable to prevent the Covid-19 infection in the first place.

Ivermectin is very safe and cheap, with few serious side effects.

Just what are the side effects, other than potential vision damage? Even some that have been treated with it, for well over a decade, for arthritis have had limited eye damage.
Just what are all of the harmful side effects?

Hi Ach, here is a top-line run-down on ivermectin side effects:

But I thought you hated doctors, never saw any, shunned medicine, and lived in a sleeping bag in a hole in the ground…

My brother is a PhD/MD. For the past few decades he has taught at university and done research.
He was the one that sternly warned me about the competency of physicians, that have been churned out in the past twenty to thirty years.
When the Mayo Clinic got ahold of my father, they told him that he probably wouldn’t live to see, or much beyond 65. So, special treatment after special treatment. They (Mayo Clinic) killed him when he was 58.
Nope, I don’t put too much truck in physicians.

Nothing looks to awfully severe. Have a fever or some itches, and watery eyes … or die.
Wow, which one should I choose?

Probably hydroxychloroquine. But you would have to discuss it with your much-hated physician.

We haven’t been too friendly since he lost Two Large shooting skeet with me. I spotted him ten rounds, out of the full hundred. I shot 97 (two perfect 25). He didn’t even hit eighty. He accused me of hustling him. I told him that I hadn’t shot skeet in years, but that I could still smoke him. He was the one that told me to “put your money where your mouth is”. His excuse, the last two rounds, was that his shoulder got sore. I told him if he was half a man, a little recoil wouldn’t matter.

This one was relatively serious. He could probably buy and sell me out of his petty cash. And, although I’m so tight that I squeak when I walk, he makes me look like a spendthrift.

Just in continuation … he used the term “sandbagging”. Not being a golfer, I had to ask around for the definition.

Question is how many of 10,000 dead Americans were given Hydroxychloroquine and Zinc or Z pak antibiotics and they still died. Doesn’t seem like anybody wants to answer or even ask this question.

I am going to say zero. My reasoning on that. IF they had been given it and were dead it would be headline news on MSM channels.

Andrew, a few points:
– As of 5 days ago, only about 1/3 of docs are prescribing hydroxychloroquine for Covid-19. This number is ramping up fast, worldwide.
– meanwhile the numbers of recovered patients is shooting up, suddenly right after the French hydroxychloroquine study came out on about March 18.
– S. Korea included hydroxychloroquine in their ‘best practices treatment guidelines’, and they have fewer than 200 mortalities
– some localities are having supply problems
hydroxychloroquine is NOT a magic cure for everyone, and mortalities should still be expected.
– examples:
[1] the terminal patient, who presents for treatment very late, with cyanosis [blue colored lips and skin from hypoxia], with florid respiratory tract bacterial overgrowth. It’s too late for the meds to work.
[2] the patient who cannot take hydroxychloroquine because of side effects
[3] the patient who refuses the hydroxychloroquine, because the doctor correctly told the patient that it is an experimental treatment
[4] etc.

Thinking most of those 10,000 dead had nothing to do with Corona sniffles most like, just fudged death reports, like the CDC wanted, was going on even before that as the hospitals wanted the Federal $$

Somewhat related but still unrelated: LGBTQs and media allies going to verbal war against Franklin Graham’s efforts to help COVID-19 patients at a set-up clinic (Samaritan’s Purse) in New York’s Central Park.

Their hatred of the Graham ministry and Christianity far exceeds their fear of COVID-19.

If you are ill enough, and smart, you will seek care wherever you can find it in this pandemic. Even if it means having hydroxy-choloroquine and zinc prescribed while Dr. Fauci et. al. drags his feet in political mud..

I wonder if they saved the life of any homosexuals, male or female?

Am certain the Samaritan’s Purse doesn’t give a tinker’s hoot about who they treat. If they are doing what is right in the sight of God, they will treat anyone, even flaming, politically-charged LGBTQs without question.

I am still having a difficult time accepting the LGBTQ et al moniker. Whether male or female, a homosexual is a homosexual. “Gay” or “lesbian” have no use. A homosexual is a homosexual.

Fauci needs to wake up and smell the coffee. There is plenty of evidence that it works from countries all over the world who are using it . It is often sadly true that advances in medicine are resisted by the ‘experts’. Fauci is a typical example

It appears confirmation is coming from seasoned medical professionals throughout the world. There can be no doubt this malarial drug is beneficial for many victims of the CCP VIrus. It is criminal to restrict its use, availability, production. I understand its available for about $12 for a month’s supply. The Politicians get huge donations from Big Pharma who are rushing to come up with a treatment and/or vaccine. They will lobby and fight this no matter how many lives are lost. Heaven helps any politician who prevented any of my loved ones from being treated. They would be in Hell a lot sooner than they expected.

This Dr. fooey guy must go. Never to be seen or heard from again. He wants to “social distance” with a “rolling economy” for the next 12 to 18 months. He wants testing and a vaccine and mandated to everyone. Guess who else wants this….His sap sucking buddy Bill Gates.
