Look at the COVID deaths in NYC: Crisis or Panic?

31

The actual number of deaths in NY City, as of April 3, 2020 at 9:30 AM are 1,584. According to the New York Department of Health. See:

https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/imm/covid-19-daily-data-summary-deaths.pdf

Story continues below advertisement

As the table above shows, of those 1,584 who died, 1,178 had underlying conditions….and they might have died from those conditions, rather than from the virus. Of the remaining 406 people who died, 26 had no underlying conditions and the other 380 may or may not have had underlying conditions. If we assume that all of those 406 were in good health, without any underlying conditions, then the

The probability of dying from Covid-19 (if you’re healthy) is 406/9,000,000 = one chance out of 22,168. Tiny.

China wins a key seat to
UN Human Rights council despite trouble record, disastrous coronavirus response

https://www.foxnews.com/world/china-un-human-rights-council-coronavirus-response

ABSURD AND IMMORAL is an understatement. Guess I shouldn’t complain or I could “DISAPPEAR” if I lived in China or HK. China must have bought off the U.N. and WHO. Fauci and Brix are probably congratulting XI. Will they put Iran on that council next? Might as well. How much more outrageous must it get?

Something is not right here…The more I dig into Fauci, the more I distrust him. I see Bush loved Fauci too! We all know Bush is a globalist managing our decline and he also HATES Trump and voted for Hillary.

Here is Bush giving Fauci the highest award a citizen can get, the Medal of Freedom. Rush just got the same award.

http://www.scienceguardian.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/bushandfauci.jpg

If Obama could have given himself that award he would have done that. Guess Obama will have to settle for the Nobel Peace Prize given to him on October 9th, 2009 as he destabilized the middle east …. Eye roll.

Fauci totally screwed up the AIDs epidemic in SF years ago. Research his bungling and terrible advice and judgement shown then. The gay crowd owned him to their demise.

Fauci said that Trump’s aides may caution him against repeating the statement but that if the president chooses to say it again, “I can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down.”

Trump and Fauci sparred politely but publicly last week over whether a malaria drug would work to treat people with the coronavirus disease.

Suggested new normal after initial shutdown:

Elderly and immune suppressed continue to stay at home. When they go to supermarket/ pharmacy wear face masks. etc.

Everyone else can return to work, school, etc. However, all wear face masks in public, wash hands, keep distance, etc. For example, both store clerk and customer wear face mask.

Test for C-19 antigen positive individuals. When they test positive, then fingerprint, photo id card, enter in data base. Recruit as plasma donor.

Await effective anti-viral and eventual vaccine.

Fauci: ‘No doubt’ Trump will face
surprise infectious disease outbreak

January 11, 2017

Anthony S. Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said there is “no doubt” Donald J. Trump will be confronted with a surprise infectious disease outbreak during his presidency.

(Now how would be know that?)

“We will definitely get surprised in the next few years,” he said.

Near the end, Fauci speculated about the possibility that there will be a resurgence of Zika this summer. The virus has caused many travel-related cases in the U.S. and some locally acquired cases in Florida and Texas. Fauci said other concerns for the Trump administration include the potential for a new influenza pandemic and outbreaks of diseases that are not yet on anyone’s radar.

( A Zika resurgence didn’t happen either. He is prediciting a resurgence of the Chinese viris too in the fall!)

“The probability of dying from Covid-19 (if you’re healthy) is 406/9,000,000 = one chance out of 22,168. Tiny.”

This quote from the article demonstrates the STUPIDITY of most scribblers, talking heads, bloggers and general free-lance “journalists”.

The denominator of this equation needs to be 360,000,000, or the approximate number of persons in the USA, not 9,000,000

Comprehending the written word appears to be your Achilles heel. Either you were whelped by the public school system or got an Ivy League degree as a legacy admittee.

As the article explains unambiguously, the numbers used reflect the population of New York City not the entire country.

The denominator of this equation needs to be 360,000,000, or the approximate number of persons in the USA, not 9,000,000

Then the numerator needs to be all of those in the United States who died from the Chicom virus who had no underlying health issues.

Mass panic and overreaction may end up killing more people as a result of despair, financial ruin and depression than the actual infection.
It begs the question. Was this by design?

Chronic illness in adults between 40-80 is common. People probably aren’t healthier than they were years ago, they’re just living longer with maladies that used to kill people before they reached 70. Modern medicine has become more proficient at extending the life of people with chronic illnesses and diseases.

From 1970 to 2019, the average US lifespan increased from 71 to 79 years old. That’s a good thing. Many more grandparents can now watch their grandchildren grow up. it also means we will run out of Social Security funds.

This virus is a temporary threat to this medical progress. Hopefully, like AIDS, which used to be a death sentence, a therapy will be developed soon that prevents Covid-19 from becoming a death sentence for people with chronic illnesses. Once this terminal threat is removed, Covid-19 will become yet one more virus that we will live with.

One thing that might come out of this crisis is that we in the US will have to recognize that a lot of middle aged people are not that healthy. The 45-64 group has as many underlying conditions as the 65-74 group. I sort of suspected that but now we are seeing the detrimental effect of that in terms of fatalities from Covid-19. As you said, the people with underlying medical conditions live longer because of the advances in medical science but they are very vulnerable if a novel virus pandemic hits.

Some chronic medical conditions are genetic (inherited) but many are the result of lifestyle:
– poor diet (high caloric, low-nutrient, highly processed)
– physical inactivity, always driving, never walking, watching TV
– alcohol consumption
– drug consumption
– pharmaceutical consumption
It’s possible that altering lifestyle might not increase lifespan but it can improve quality of life and overall health as a person ages. There are many places in the world where most older people do not have debilitating health problems. They age gracefully, just not in America.

Two things shock me when I go to my local supermarket. One is the number of people with carts filled with heavily processed packaged foods. The other is the number of boomers between 50-70 years old using motorized carts to get around. Some are obese but others appear to be in poor health.

The baby boomer generation is not healthy and the country is paying a heavy price for their long-term medical problems.

This issue has been festering for a long time. It can only be fixed through education. Children must be taught nutrition basics and how to take care of themselves.

Leftists are always playing with facts and numbers, but here is some logic that I have not seen expressed anywhere.
If deaths caused by underlying conditions are listed as caused by Covid-19, then the numbers for deaths by the underlying conditions would be unusually low for that time period. Duh!

The ramifications of this are many, but just imagine if the causes of death by underlying conditions dropped without the Covid-19’s presense in the issue, we would be thinking that some sort of miracle was at work in the reduction of deaths attributed to them.

It never pays to trust anything we read in the Main Stream Media (MSM).

For those who do not understand “chances” (x out of x’) this is 0.0045%) … you have a better chance of killing yourself falling in the bathtub.

And, this stats only include those “tested positive” ….. what about everyone else, who has had the virus and very mild symptoms and were NEVER tested.

NFL kicker Tom Dempsey, whose record 63-yard field goal stood for >30 years, died yesterday at 73. He had Alzheimer’s since 2012 and was in hospice care. He contracted COVID 19 shortly before his death. My bookie makes the odds 6300-1 that COVID 19 will be listed as the #1 cause of death.
