Trump says Iran planning ‘sneak attack’ on US troops, assets in Iraq

President Trump said Wednesday that Iran is planning a “sneak attack” on U.S. troops or “assets” in Iraq, warning the country will pay a “heavy price” if this happens.
The president made the abrupt announcement in a tweet Wednesday afternoon, coming amid lingering tensions between the two countries over past confrontations as well as the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump’s tweet came soon after he attended an intelligence briefing at noon at the White House.
Sources told Fox News that the U.S. believes Iranian-backed proxies were planning the sneak attack, and that Trump’s tweet was a warning to the Iranian leadership to tell their proxies to back down or face consequences
In late March, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated that Iran had refused American aid for addressing the coronavirus pandemic.

Pompeo also condemned Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for spreading conspiracy theories that the U.S. was responsible for the outbreak, and pointed out Iran’s own misdeeds that exacerbated the spread of the virus.

The latest tension comes several months after hostilities between the U.S. and Iran that included an attack at the U.S. Embassy compound in Iraq that U.S. officials blamed on Iran. In response, the U.S. carried out a strike that resulted in the death of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Prior to the embassy attack, U.S. airstrikes against an Iranian-backed Shiite militia in Iraq, which the U.S. military said was retaliation for the killing of an American contractor in a rocket attack on an Iraqi military base that it had blamed on the militia.

So while ISIS tells Muslims that they should take sensible precautions against the coronavirus, it also tells them that committing acts of violence against unbelievers will protect them from the virus anyway. Meanwhile, the jihad group asks Allah to make the coronavirus even more lethal than it is already, so as to “increase their torment,” as well as to “save the believers from all that.”
Also, the Qur’an teaches that Allah will place a Muslim’s good deeds on one scale and bad deeds on the other, and send them to Paradise or hell depending on which scale weighs more. A Muslim who is worried about his eternal destiny can decisively tip the scales in his favor by waging jihad, the deed that is greater than all others. He can seize the Qur’an’s promise of Paradise for those who “kill and are killed” for Allah (9:111).

This is why a faithful believer sees their only guarantee to get to heaven is to murder an infidel or murder a Muslim apostate. You can only changes such beliefs by minimizing their numbers with a sword or Viral bio-weapon like the bio weapon Covid Sars conveniently being used on China’s Muslim Uigars in detention camps in China. Even the PRC says never let a crises go to waste. Same as in Iran where the 85,000 Political dissidents in Prison are being exposed to Covid.
Q. Why is the media silent on Iran’s Covid mass graves being dug near their Prisons???

I wish the President had added, “And, we apologize in advance to any Iranian innocents who may get caught in the cross fire, or who will suffer after America’s armed response. The United States must, and will response to Iranian attacks, and our response will be in no way proportionate, during a time of national emergency on American soil.”
In other words, if Iran (or any other country) attacks America now, burn it to the ground. Leave Iran with no working govern nor infrastructure. No bases left. No ships, ports, electrical power generating plants, and no water utilities near the capital. Crush them.
I’m genuinely sorry for the Iranian innocents who are impacted, but it is they, by either their votes and/or support of the Ayatollah’s, or their failure to act against them, that are responsible for every military attack on US interests. Period.

As irritating and guilty of malfeasance on a political scale as that list of politicians that you wrote above are, they are not actively seeking the death of their citizens if they don’t capitulate to tyranny. There’s a big difference between the Iranian government and the inept Republican party or corrupt Democrat politicians. Go spend the summer in Iran and then get back to us, if you can.

A ‘free vote’ indeed implies more responsibly, and that Christianity had so much to do with forming the foundations of America, it indicts Christians for their failure to hold her to those foundations. The struggle for liberty and freedom is intrinsically tied to the Christian faith, without it, that struggle loses all meaning, just as it has become so today.
I am in Canada, and that ‘judgement’ has already begun here, as it has in western nations overseas. The condition of faith across my land is much worse than in America and has been that way for decades. Up here, Christian faith has been openly mocked by our institutions, our media, and more recently, our heads of state. The US media’s open mocking of “The Pillow Guy” for invoking God and the Bible, is a first if I’m not mistaken, and represents a shift in faith perception.
The NT warns of mocking coming in the last days. America has been the last vestige of relevant faith in the West, but I believe the MSM’s mocking reflects a growing attitude particularly from the younger generations. However, the failure to maintain Christianity’s relevance in the public square and subsequently, the political square, is the main reason that the West has lost all of her former greatness and that judgement is now upon us all.

It does raise the curiosity flag doesn’t it. Iran’s oil is still on the open market and the price of oil is at ridiculously low prices. The US oil industry cannot survive at 20$ per barrel; that is way below their break even point, and defaults and bankruptcies will soon be an ugly reality.
Would Trump enter into an immoral war/engagement in an effort to save US companies? I don’t want to think so, and beside all that, the demand side for oil has fallen off a cliff. Taking daily production down a notch is unlikely to have any meaningful effect. Without an active commerce, the global economy is racing towards a cliff of its own and will drag more than big oil with it.
Perhaps the threat is real; although the official word on it is pretty vague. However, nations have often resorted to obfuscation in times of internal unrest, and Iran not only has plenty of that but they have openly fingered the US for this virus, so …, is that Fido being wagged by his tail again?

Maybe its because Iran is threatening to launch attacks against US troops? Maybe its because Iran’s proxies threaten to launch attacks against US troops? Maybe its Iran distracting its angry population to focus on the US? Maybe its Iran trying to make a play for pity when the US strikes back? Maybe Iran threatens Middle East US installations but Iranian agents will actually go after mainland USA. Maybe its just talk and no backbone by Iran?
Trump, in short order, warned Iran to watch its step. It will be more than tit-for-tat. Short statement by him. No Pentagon getting worked up about Iran, no Trump getting into a huff. The old saying is speak softly and carry a big stick. Trump spoke softly and the US military is a pretty big stick.

Why do we have any “assets” or, more importantly, any troops in Iraq?
Iraq is 99% Muslim; the Muslims hate us, refer to our country as the “great Satan”, and want to destroy it
The only legitimate use of the armed forces of a country is to protect the country from invasion by a former power, our troops have no business being there; we need to have them here to protect our own border.

Iran pokes the tiger and will be hit hard. Then it cries to the world “look what evil USA and demonic Trump did to us.” It will be poor little Iran, and poor little Iran needs foreign aid, the lifting of the embargo, and sanctions removed. I’m certain the UN will do all it can for Iran, more than the Iranian government will do for its own people.
Its like the brat in school who hits another child not expecting to be hit back. Once justice is dealt out by a good smack back, the brat goes running and crying that he/she was hit.

We know who is responsible for this devastation. When are we going to start taking measures to collect the vast indemnity that is owed by the ChiComs to us and the rest of the world whose economies they have purposely wrecked and whose people they have murdered in numbers approaching millions? That Is the only question I have? This murderous rogue regime must be eliminated from the face of the earth by whatever means is required. The Huge outbreak of CCP Virus in Iran appears to have disproportionately affected the ruling class which has access to medical facilities. This indicates the ChiComs may be advising the mad mullahs in several areas and I suspect on missile technology. The ChiComs released the CCP Virus on us to destroy our economy and cover up their failing economy. To date, it has been a very successful attack. We can expect the Iranians will launch an attack on US forces shortly on the order of their masters in Beijing. I expect it will be at the apex of the CCP Virus in the USA causing as much damage and confusion as possible.
