DoJ Inspector General has a “lack of confidence” in the FBI’s procedures to validate information used to obtain spy warrants on American citizens, the watchdog said in a report released Tuesday.
The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) found errors in all 29 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant applications that were subject to the review.

The audit is a follow-up to an investigation of the FBI’s surveillance of Carter Page, the former Trump campaign aide.
A report of that investigation blasted the FBI for making dozens of errors and omissions in four applications the bureau submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC). The findings prompted the Justice Department to retract two of the warrants because they were based on faulty information.
The OIG review released Tuesday suggests that the FBI’s problems are widespread.
“As a result of our audit work to date and as described below, we do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods Procedures in compliance with FBI policy,” the OIG said in a memo to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
When the Horowitz Report came out, James Comey said that those who attacked the FBI on #FISA "should admit they were wrong."
The only thing we were wrong about was FISA abuse was even worse than we thought!
In fact, the FBI failed over 92% of the time.https://t.co/GqPjQzYnl2

House Republicans demand hearing on FBI FISA failures after new bombshell revelations
Rep. Jim Jordan, top Republican on House Judiciary Committee, demands Democrat hold hearing on FBI inaccuracies in surveillance warrant applications.
John Solomon, April 1, 2020:
House Republicans late Tuesday renewed their demands that the House Judiciary Committee hold hearings into the FBI spying on Americans after a new review found agents routinely used inaccurate or incomplete evidence to justify surveillance warrants.
Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the panel’s ranking member, sent Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., a letter requesting the hearings in response to a special investigative memo released by Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz earlier in the day.
That memo warned FBI Director Christopher Wray that a review of more than two dozen Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants authorizing spying on Americans in intelligence and terrorism investigations found all had failed to comply with so-called Woods Procedures designed to protect civil liberties. Most of the applications contained factual errors, unsubstantiated evidence and other problems, Horowitz disclosed.
The IG has completed an audit of the FISA Woods Files.
Files were missing.
Every application they reviewed (25) had errors and unsupported facts.

The findings showed the problems first detected during the Russia collusion investigation, in which an uncorroborated and erroneous Steele dossier was used to justify a spy warrant targeting the Trump campaign in 2016, are far more widespread across the FBI.“The Committee must not allow the FBI’s extraordinary power to electronically surveil Americans to be so haphazardly rubber-stamped with incorrect, unsubstantiated or erroneous supporting information,” Jordan wrote.
Jordan’s minority GOP colleagues in the House, have been clamoring for hearings since evidence first emerged of FBI abuses and wrongdoing in the now-debunked Russia collusion investigation.

Is anybody paying any attention?
all good images, but they will never happen
I am sad to say you are probably right.
wake me up if these worthless repubs ever get around to actually putting even one of the muslim’s evil people in jail.
Skip the hearings and get on with the trials!
WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR A.G. BARR TO ACT ON THIS?
Yes. I was shouting.
Isn’t it something like an average of 20 errors per FISA application?
What about the judge(s) who supposedly read these over before issuing a warrant?
You mean they can read????!!!!
Doesn’t inspire confidence.
About time!!!! Just make sure it’s not mueller and his libturd dumocrap criminals!!!!
Unfortunately Mr. Jordan, they will NOT hold hearings on FISA abuses, even with more evidence coming out to support them.
They will, however, hold more hearings related to anything related to….Trump.
The Democrats will not hold hearings on this. Jordan is wasting his time. Already Adam Schiff is demanding a 9/11 style investigation of Trumps handling of the Corona Virus.
It will have to wait until November IF the R’s take back the House.
In the meantime why has not Trump FIRED Wray? That was a lousy choice by Trump. And where in the H is Barr?
The Senate can act! Who is going to get that Oscar? Ole Linz or Turtle? Pelosi destroys official government property in front of the nation, nada. Wray is obstructing justice, nada. What does Wray know and when did he know it? What does Pelosi know and when did she know it? What does shifty know and when did he know it? What does the Clinton Cabal know and when did they know it? JJ, you need to wrestle with AOC+3 and all the fraud in their closets. Barr is running cover for Turtle and his wife just like Pelosi is for the AOC bunch. We have been waiting for over three years. Never let a bad virus blur your focus.
The damn democrats time is running out. But then when they are gone who will care that they get justice for their crimes? People will just be glad they are gone and let bygones be bygones! But there is always HELL!
For perspective on the problem, consider this:
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell never played football.
NBA commish Adam Silver never played basketball.
Former RNC bigwig Reince Priebus has never held elective office.
Former top cops Comey and McCabe are not certified peace officers with certification allowing them to carry a weapon.
But all five have one thing in common, they are all friggin’ lawyers.
“Virtue in the middle”, said the Devil as he sat between two lawyers.
The application for the issuance of a FISA warrant must be one of the most sensitive and documented acts of the FBI. This illustrates the incompetence and lack of supervision of agents. It also indicates there may be thousands of Americans who were framed and denied due process by deliberate FBI malfeasance. I’m talking about normal people who get caught up in some FBI web. Where is the Inspector General who examines these documents and procedures? He doesn’t exist.
The left has always been the lowest of the low, now they are going down!
I’m not holding my breath – if this shoe was on the other foot – or those psychos – shifty spliff along with screwmer and nanking nancy had 1% of the evidence on the Pres that is here – all hell woulda broken loose
