Biden’s lead evaporates in new poll that finds him weaker vs. Trump than Hillary Clinton was in 2016

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s national lead over President Donald Trump has nearly evaporated according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll that shows the Democratic frontrunner facing a “massive enthusiasm gap” in the November general election.
Although Biden maintains a solid lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination, he finds himself in a statistical tie with the president in a head-to-head matchup, only slightly ahead by two points (49-47%) among registered voters. The pollsters noted that Biden’s standing has deteriorated since their last survey in February which found him with a more comfortable 7-point (52-45%) over Trump.
Meanwhile, among Democratic primary voters who support Sanders for the nomination, 15% said they’d back Trump over Biden in November.
Biden trails Trump on key issues and enthusiasm
A major red flag for the Democrats is that the ABC News/Washington Post survey found Trump’s supporters far more energized than Biden’s backers. While 53% of Trump voters described themselves as “very enthusiastic” about supporting him, only 24% of Biden’s backers said the same. Trump also leads Biden on key issues.
Despite the economic standstill resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, 57% of voters approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, the highest ever in ABC/Post surveys. Biden also trails Trump, 42-50%, when it comes to who voters trust to manage the nation’s economy.
Meanwhile, Trump and Biden are about even (45-43%) in terms of who voters trust to handle the coronavirus outbreak.

The fact that Biden, who is a third-rate politician suffering from senile dementia – is at least competitive with the president reminds me of a newspaper column the great H.L. Mencken wrote in 1926:
“No one in this world, so far as I know — and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me — has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”
It gives me no pleasure to add that the electorate Mencken was referring to, almost a century ago, was far more knowledgeable the one we have today.

With friends like that Trump doesn’t even need enemies.
Fleischer says he wants the White House Press Corps to start asking questions about Trump’s decision making process and “really get into his mind, instead of just fighting with him.”
That is a whole new low-down level of insidious.
I want the press to start asking the Bushies, including Fleisher, how much every one of them profited personally from selling us out to China for three decades.

I do have to wonder if we are seeing the aftereffects of the two brain aneurysms Biden had more than 30 years ago. Many people don’t just recover from same, their aftereffects linger long afterward. Emilia Clarke of “Game of Thrones” – who also had two aneurysms – says she often has recurring headaches. Same thing for Sharon Stone. One wonders in his case if those episodes contributed to his current mental(ly deteriorated) state. I ask this more as an observer, not a doctor or anyone with an axe to grind (although with his associations with China, his death worship, etc., there is plenty of that).

This is what happens when you have the left leaning MSM carefully editing Biden’s interviews, or covering up and pretending that Biden makes sense.
You don’t have to have a degree in medicine to realise that Biden has dementia or some serious and progressive mental incapacity. Where are all the MSM doctors who claimed that Trump was mentally ill? When will we see these professionals analysing Biden? Fair is fair.

Biden whether he knows it or not is a proxy for Hillary. The real fight will be between Hillary and Sanders in Milwaukee, if that convention ever occurs, which is doubtful.

That garbage poll’s D/R/I was 30/24/37. That is, 30% of those surveyed were Democrats, 24% were Republicans, and 37% were Independents. According to Gallup, the national breakdown is 29/30/39. That poll therefore vastly over-sampled Democrats!
What nonsense! I can “prove” Americans prefer cats over dogs if I survey 75% old ladies in apartments and 25% young families in suburban houses!
