Trump wants to ‘reopen’ the economy by Easter despite rapid coronavirus spread

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he wants the U.S. economy to “open” back up by Easter Sunday, even as the number of coronavirus cases in the country accelerates.
Trump’s remarks in a Fox News “virtual town hall” event at the White House came as more states imposed extreme measures, including shutting down businesses and ordering residents to stay home, to try to slow the spread of the disease.
“We’re opening up this incredible country. Because we have to do that. I would love to have it open by Easter,” Trump said.

Easter is April 12, less than three weeks away.
Trump’s remarks in a Fox News “virtual town hall” event at the White House came as more states imposed extreme measures, including shutting down businesses and ordering residents to stay home, to try to slow the spread of the disease.
“We’re opening up this incredible country. Because we have to do that. I would love to have it open by Easter,” Trump said.
“I would love to have that. It’s such an important day for other reasons, but I’d love to make it an important day for this. I would love to have the country opened up, and rarin’ to go by Easter.”
The number of people found to have the virus, which causes the COVID-19 illness, has increased significantly in recent days, as testing kits have been made more available to states. In the U.S., at least 46,5000 cases and 590 deaths from the COVID-19 virus have been confirmed so far, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Schiesser and Piglosi will try to keep it shut down; they will destroy the economy just to get at Trump. Ironically, that would just help him win, since they already blocked a recovery bill…for solar panels and carbon stuff.

rising from the dead on easter? good. then maybe he’ll explain why he allowed the democrats to nail us on that cross in the first place over this stupid hoax. more americans got gunned down in chicago in 2019 than have allegedly died from this virus

Big Bird Billazio is a dangerous loser and idiot.
I just saw him spreading woe and on an interview with Martha McCallum.
He’s committed to a total economic shutdown and absolute collapse for a minimum of 5 months.
That’s non-negotiable! says Big Bird.
And he says we have to employ the U.S. military in New York City and from coast to coast.
Why shouldn’t Americans start getting used to martial law right now?
And why shouldn’t most of the military get deathly ill and/or die, too? asks Big Bird.
It’s not like we’re going to need the military for whatever China may have in mind for us next.
That’s why Bush the First, Clinton, Bush, Jr., and “obama” have been collaborating with them for nearly 40 years.
Billazio is a dark, evil gargoyle glowering across America that needs to be captured and quarantined permanently.

Governor Cuomo will over rule him. Those two don’t get along. Cuomo is being reasonable on some things for a change….BTW, .Martha McCallum hates Trump too and that is why she gave DeBlazio face time.
But… it is never Cuomo’s fault –
Andrew Cuomo was blasting FEMA today for not providing something he choose not to order and prepare for in 2015.

This is another brand new example of what the endemic class of crony cowards we have as political leaders today do not understand about history.
Like the amphibious invasion force at Normandy, France, June 6, 1944, we must go forward.
Without our economy everything is in ashes.
We know we’re going to take some hits, and unbearable losses, that is a given.
On the day before zero hour, Eisenhower told those unimaginably brave young American men by closed channel radio broadcast: “Some of you will die.”
Tomorrow.
But they did what they were called by the course of human events to do.
They didn’t curl up in a ball for 6-12 weeks like NYC Mayor Big Bird Billazio, California Gov. Gavin Gruesome and despicable coward Los Angeles Mayor “Son of Gil” Garcetti — who has spent $1 Billion on granite counter tops for the homeless, yet whines incessantly about “The White House” failure to give him his cookie — tell us we must do.
While Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the cosmically corrupt Democrat Party want to kill the economy while at the same time funding in perpetuity a Communist, atheist, weak, victim country asking to be sacked from within and without.
Thank God we have ONE courageous, hopeful, winning leader at this time of existential crisis.
Trump is working day and night to defeat our enemies: China, the Democrats, the media and coronavirus.
(And all the illegals “obama” invited in.)
We all need to do our duty and do our part.

This coronavirus could still turn out to be like a Category 5 hurricane that forces millions to flee in 300-mile traffic jams, then dodges off and weakens into a little tropical storm.
Then what are we going to think about our political leaders and media who browbeat us with pessimism and fear into taking down our economy.
There’s already been tremendous, unrecoverable damage.

Compare Trump’s initiative to these Democrat governors and mayors. It is evident that the other side means to drag this out for as long as they can get away with it, to totally finish off our economy and our freedoms and our way of life. They say we should obey doctors without question, but many of these “doctors” don’t have to worry about having to feed their families, pay their bills or put food on the table.

It was hilarious to watch some leftist questioner at yesterday’s press conference trying to insinuate that an Easter target date was a little too optimistic, betraying the fact that the reporter was oblivious to the fact that Easter isn’t till April 12th this year.

My biggest fear is the ChiComs have another WMD to unleash on us. They’re determined to destroy the USA and having wreaked such immense havoc on us with no repercussions whatsoever they are tempted to double down, especially if they can bring down Trump. We Must recognize we are in WW III and the ChiComs are winning the initial battles.

Only a week and a half ago Trump was claiming we had “…tremendous control” of the coronavirus. That was only another of Trump’s disastrous underestimates of the problem. Since then the number of cases has skyrocketed, we haven’t started widespread testing so we have no idea how many cases are actually out there, let alone isolated them, and Trump wants to ignore the doctors and compound the problem. Dangerously premature at least bad and criminally insane at worst.
