European doctor: Fear of being called racist contributing factor to spread of coronavirus in Italy

A former European Society of Virology doctor was quoted in a CNN article suggesting that fears of being labeled racist contributed to the lack of readiness and the devastating spread of the coronavirus in Italy.
Story continues below advertisement“There was a proposal to isolate people coming from the epicenter, coming from China,” European Society of Virology’s Dr. Giorgio Palu said. “Then it became seen as racist, but they were people coming from the outbreak.”
Palu concluded that fear led to the current situation and added that the country was “lazy in the beginning” and referenced “too much politics in Italy.”
Palu said he believes the lockdown should have been wider and stricter earlier and should be tighter now as millions of Italians are currently being forced to stay home.
“We should have done more diagnostic tests in Lombardy where there was a big nucleus,” Palu said “There is no sense in trying to go to the supermarket once a week. You have to limit your time out. Isolation is the key thing.”
Italy has been one of the hardest-hit countries in the world during the coronavirus crisis and has witnessed over 4,000 deaths and almost 50,000 confirmed cases.
Media outlets in the United States have been accused of injecting race into the discussion, as well, criticizing President Trump for pointing out that the coronavirus originated in China.
“I didn’t appreciate the fact that China was saying that our military gave it to them. Our military did not give it to anybody,” he said in defense of using the term “Chinese virus.”
“China was putting out information, which was false, that our military gave this to them. That was false. And, rather than having an argument, I said I had to call it where it came from. It did come from China. So, I think it’s a very accurate term,” he said.

All of our Westernized Countries had better change after this, or the next time something like this happens it will kill us all. Just imagine if we would’ve had a democRAT President at this time with their Open Borders Nonsense? Dear God!
This identity politics & BS Racism has to be stopped & pushed back! No more! We have to take this lesson to heart. If we all push back then their ridiculous “racist” claims won’t be able to stick anymore.

What a sad statement. I hope those that had loved ones DIE of this will be as accepting of your political hypersensitivity. Lives were lost because of it.
One of the reasons northern Italy was hit so hard is because they import cheap Chinese labor from Wuhan, China. The Chinese laborers go back and forth to visit relatives in China and return to Italy to work in their textile factories. Italy prefers to have the, “Made in Italy” stamp on product rather than the “Made in China” on their products. This is what started the Chinese virus in northern Italy. Naturally China did not warn anyone of their problem in Italy either.

Good post, Felix, indeed, we on this site were aware that political correctness and expediency would lead to something nasty, and calamitous. Globalism has brought this on, the Leftists, the faux-Democrats and others of the faux-Liberal diktat. The fact that our media, the likes of Hillary defend China is foreboding. It is an ambitious economic development and commercial project that focuses on improving connectivity and cooperation among multiple countries spread across the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe. China owns this highly infectious virus!

And Biden is a loyal stooge of both the New World Order and the Chinese Communists. Which is why places like this are warning that America CANNOT afford a Biden presidency. We will be FINISHED if, G-d forbid, he gets in. And already, the NWO mouthpieces are seeking to manipulate the public into abandoning America-first Trump in favor of America-last Biden.

Well, as of this writing, there are 5,476 corona virus deaths in Italy – but the good news is that each and everyone of them, at the end, was not called a “racist.”

The ordinary Italians have a great deal of sympathy from informed Brits, for this the countries most recent and devastating trial because it’s the very last thing they needed after Africa emptying its unwanted population onto them and their huge debt problem.
The fact that the much vaunted concept of EU “solidarity” in the face of such adversity was abandoned at the first whiff by Germany {of all countries} has not been lost on the Italians. Much needed medical supplies were refused for a founding EU member state.
I expect political ructions to be the unwanted love child of this situation when the dust settles, they could have the potential to reshape alliances taken too long for granted.
