More seriously, I understand this problem of seeing the humanity of really what I call the average pewsitter, if mosques had pews.

We still need them to stop going and even culturally identifying with Islam. Their children or anyone who actually takes Mohammed/the Koran seriously will turn out to be a terrorist. Those same people who are nice to you are also super duper nice to those terrorists and will side with them, if forced to choose.

We are nuts for allowing any mosque in the US. Ex-Islam might be okay, but I don’t even see why we need any Islamic immigrant period. It just doesn’t matter that we’ve all met a few nice examples out there, unfortunately.

I gathered that Islam was largely spread through military campaigns and that Muhammad himself led men in battle. My sources might be somewhat biased but I don’t think they’re totally wrong. Are they? I’m not making a value judgment. I’m just recollecting the history I’ve read. History is my hobby.

I don’t see it in terms of good and evil in some spiritual sense. I see it as a 1400 year old conflict of civilizations that’s still ongoing. I just support the Western side because that’s where I’m from.

People are still fascinated with the struggle between Greece and Persia that occurred before Christianity and Islam existed. Most people in the West see the Greeks as the protagonists and the Persians as the antagonists. I think that’s perfectly natural and healthy. And people admire Hannibal and the Carthaginians but most are glad that Rome prevailed.

I’m not sure that neutral narratives about these types of conflicts are desirable or possible. But a good narrative should respect the historical facts and not unfairly demonize one side or the other.

I don’t believe it’s hypocritical to side with your ancestors. It could be considered hypocritical if you hold different moral standards for your group than other groups people. Yes, that’s the point I tried to make. The modern conception of the state is entirely divorced from any conception of ‘solidarity’ real or substitute. Not a one will look after or care about its citizens the way a Volkish state would which derives its very reason for existence from the uniqueness and solidarity of the people who comprise it, from their sense of shared historical experience and blood-brotherhood. Citizens are not mere units to be exchanged carelessly one for another. Now ‘human rights’ takes precedent in immigration, and the rights to migrate trump the rights of the receiving people. People are losing their sense of being able to control their nation’s future destiny. The issue actually hasn’t gotten a lot of attention by prior political philosophers – it seems to really have caught the world by surprise – this notion that millions upon millions of foreigners have as much right to your country as you (citizen) do. In times past whether it was Goths or Mongols or whoever it was just called invasion. My dad is English and no one on his side of the family feels ticked or guilty that the British have invaded most of the world’s countries and that’s perfectly fine.

Thanks. I still feel a sense of solidarity with Europeans everywhere even if many of them are deluded cucks and are ruled by traitors. . One of the great things about the Internet is we can connect with true Nationalists all over the globe. I’m glad that so many people know English because I’m terrible at foreign languages.

I do fantasize about kicking the Turks back across the Bosporus. It seems an affront that they control a chunk of Europe. But we’d have to proceed prudently and I wouldn’t want to start WWIII over it.

I’m pretty sure there was a war involved in Constantinople coming under the control of the Ottoman Empire in 1453. And Turkish isn’t even an Indo-European language. Which isn’t to say that Turks are the bad guys. I’m just a fan of Europe and I’d like the Hagia Sophia back.

True. But Western Civilization has had a pretty good run for the last 2,000 years and I think it would be ungenerous not to give Christianity some of the credit. Would we have accomplished as much under paganism? Maybe. We’ll never know.

Yes, I have. I really have no idea why this idea has become so important. Some of them, who individually volunteered to be here, are perfectly fine people on individual level. That’s still no way to make long term decisions about anything on a group level, which is why I have pretty much discarded the information. It’s not about the ability to be polite and emphatic in public/social situations dominated to this point by Christian social structures. /shrug
