The Supreme Court was unequivocal. And that’s striking. Because today you don’t know how these things will go. And his defense team pulled out every card. They played the race card and everything else they could play. But in this instance, justice prevailed. Not only did Daoud Wright target me for a brutal, cruel and violent death, but there has been no indication that he has given up these beliefs, and they are only being reinforced while he is in prison, due to a prison system that is rife with jihad recruitment that prison officials are unable or unwilling to do anything about. There is no indication that once he is released from prison at any time in the future, that he would not resume his quest to kill me. He should have been given, as I requested, the sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The US Supreme Court won’t hear David Daoud Wright’s challenge to the terrorism-related convictions stemming from his leadership of two men who plotted to kill Boston police officers in 2015 and political commentator Pamela Geller, whom terror group ISIS had targeted for death.
Story continues below advertisementThe justices did not issue a written explanation for their refusal and instead the clerk of the nation’s highest court sent a terse letter to Wright’s attorneys and the lower federal courts in Boston. The appeal request is called a writ of certiorari.
“The Court today entered the following order in the above-entitled case: The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied,” the letter from the US Supreme Court reads. It is dated Monday.
Wright, of Everett, was convicted of leading the small group that included his uncle, Usaamah Rahim, 26, who was shot and killed when he confronted Boston police officers and FBI special agents with a knife in Roslindale in June 2015. Rahim, authorities said, was planning to board a bus and randomly attack victims.
Wright took the stand in his own defense during his trial in US District Court in Boston and said he was only engaging in an “ISIS role-play fantasy” because he was obese and had no social life. He was convicted on five charges, and sentenced to 28 years behind bars. Four of his five convictions were later upheld by the First Circuit Court of Appeals….

That’s the nature of government run prisons and other institutions.
Better to contract the job out to private sector organizations, then make rules that they have to follow.

I read a story out of Colorado about a Soddy national who was serving a prison term there who wanted to be transferred to Soddy Barbaria to serve out the rest of his sentence. The warden refused and was mysteriously gunned down at his home sometime later.

Some people think the privately run prison system is even worse. It is a fact that lots of Congress critters, judges, and others tied to government have invested their money in privately run prisons. There is a strong incentive to keep them at maximum capacity with a concomitant incentive to put people in prison and/or try for the longest sentence possible.
I shared your opinion that a privately run prison system would run more efficiently until I started reading about the enormous investment in these prisons from lawmakers and judges.

The fact this audacious attempt to revoke this terrorist’s convictions got this far in the judiciary is disconcerting. The Supreme Court has more on its judicial plate than to hear the lies, conjuring and blatant appropriating the race card from the lawyers of this man bent on decapitating Pamela Geller.
Indeed, the decision by the Supreme Court not to review this case was correct; however, the fact that it was permitted to get this far is beyond worrisome, if not absurd.

Why should ANY student be forced to recite the MUSLIM conversion prayer? This is all about Freedom of Religion and some Freedom of Speech thrown in.
I have less and less respect for the U.S. Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme Court is very politicized. Notice they don’t all show up for the SOTU. It depends on what party the President is. Ginsberg NEVER shows up for a Republican President and if she shows up for a Domoncrapper President can’t even stay awake but won’t STEP DOWN! It’s ALL about HER; not what is best for the country and she sure isn’t what is “best”.

When California votes to restore the grizzly bear,a lot of supplemental feeding will be necessary, along with training the beasts as to who and what is fair game.

The appeal backed by CAIR was hoping to see the SCOTUS “Give terrorism a chance” after all; the funding for the appeal came from members of “the Religion of Peace” (ROP). But the SCOTUS told them all to pound sand.
So now we know why Joe Biden wants Obama to be appointed to the SCOTUS.

Since HE lost his License to Practice LAW over a Decade Ago for Criminal & Contemptuous Conduct. As well as he Never served as a Judge, has No Experience Nor Legal Standing in the Court System. If the Leftists ever regain control of the SCOTUS, this decision could be very different.
NUMBER ONE REASON to reelect Trump is to prevent the Federal Courts from again becoming infested with Progressive judges. He and McConnell need four more years to further erase Obama’s fingerprint on the Judicial branch.
