Iran’s Deputy Health Minister Tests Positive for Coronavirus After Government Tells Citizens Not to Panic

Despite some of the trappings of a modern society, Iran is still essentially a Third-World country. This makes them particularly susceptible to epidemics like the coronavirus that is sweeping the world.
Story continues below advertisementMisinformation, disinformation, and outright lies told by the government are not helping the situation. Tehran announced that there were 95 cases of the virus across the country, but 16 people had died of it. That’s a staggering mortality rate of 16.8 percent — 7 times higher than the mortality rate in Wuhan. Disease experts concluded that the number of cases in Iran is far higher than authorities are letting on.
If the Iranians want to lie to their own people, that’s their business. But their lies must be placed in the context of a worldwide epidemic that health authorities are losing control of. Information — accurate and complete — is absolutely vital if the damage from this virus is to be contained.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani scolded citizens for rumor-mongering and spreading false information about the virus. About an hour later, it was revealed that Iran’s deputy health minister had tested positive for the virus.
Iranians traveling overseas have also tested positive for the virus, which deepens the mystery about how bad it already is in Iran and how much worse it’s going to get. One thing is certain: Iran’s health care infrastructure is not prepared.
The main problem of the virus outbreak is that it affects a large number of individuals within a short time frame, which makes it difficult to treat every person that is infected with the virus.
In severe cases, coronavirus can trigger an overreaction from the immune system. Because it is the first time the human body meets the newly found virus, the immune system tries to overload the virus, which causes harm to the human body.
In such a case, individuals have to be rushed to the hospital and be treated swiftly. But, when there are a lack of equipment, resources, and medical centers to deal with the outbreak, the fatality rate can increase substantially.
According to one outspoken lawmaker, the government seems more concerned with hiding the severity of the crisis than in dealing with it.
“I think the performance of the administration in controlling the virus has not been successful,” Farahani said, referring to the government of President Hassan Rouhani. His comments represent the most public criticism levied yet against the government for its handling of the virus, which originated in China in December.
“None of the nurses have access to proper protective gear,” Farahani said, adding that some health care specialists had left the city. “So far, I have not seen any particular action to confront corona by the administration.”
Donald Trump has asked Congress for $2.5 billion to address the epidemic in the U.S., but anti-Trump contrarians are claiming the money is not enough and Trump should have asked for it weeks ago. Meanwhile, the grown-ups believe that $2.5 billion is fine for now and it makes sense to wait and see how bad it gets before Congress starts throwing money at the problem.
It’s unclear what more, if anything, the world could have done to prevent the epidemic. While every community is taking precautions, including quarantines and widespread testing, it’s likely that the virus will get out of control and infect a large percentage of the U.S. population.
Americans are just too mobile for any effective countermeasures to be taken. And while that mobility is one of our strengths as a nation, it will not serve us well in trying to contain the virus.

Quit pushing ‘FEAR’ of the Coronavirus. It is the FLU. The percentage of
deaths is normal for the FLU. The ones dying are elderly and ones with compromised physical systems. The danger in this flu is the Media- scaring everyone and causing damage to governments, travel, businesses and normal every day routines -etc.
In 1971 I was in the hospital for a week with the ‘FLU’ … many people had the ‘FLU’…. if I had been old and sickly already, I would have died. Most people die from being alive.

Dealing with averages …. Every year, well over One Hundred Thousand People, in the United States alone, are hospitalized from influenza. Out of that 100,000 people, over Sixteen Thousand people DIE. And, close to 2/3 of those that die, have had their annual influenza virus “vaccine”.
Outliers for the number of deaths. Low end was over Eleven Thousand. High end outlier was estimated at over Sixty-Three Thousand.
The 100,000 and 16,000 (plus) are averages after striking the outliers (11,000 and 63,000)
When the numbers, for those stricken in the U.S. hit 20% of those numbers, I’ll give the corona virus more than a second thought. Until then, it’s all dross.

Year before last I caught one of the strains of flu floating around and was basically sick all winter. Very rough time, and I thought I might die at one point. I am going to be 70 in March, and I am not really worried about this. It’s a risk I take every year anyway.
The death rate looks normal, from what I can see, and as you say mostly the fatalities are not healthy and/or age related.
My gut feeling is that this is at least partly hysteria. We should know one way or the other by summer.

Big mistake. The flu death rate is only .1% and the RO factor is 1.2. The China Death Death rate is at least 2.5% or 25x higher. The death rate maybe 20%.The RO factor is 4, nearly 4 times as contagious. Do your research and get real. those dying in China 80% males and most of them are smokers. They just shipped in 40 industrial incinerators to Wuhan in an attempt to keep up with burning the dead. That’s right. 40 industrial incinerators. They don’t do that for the garden variety flu you had. My God you are hopelessly ignorant. Get informed. For your sake and the rest of us.

A few days ago I read an article on Natural News that said black elderberry extract/syrup, such as Sambucal, was a potent help with viruses. Apparently it causes the virus to be unable to replicate. The article said that a person might cut the time they suffered from flu by four days. The black elderberry from Eastern Europe is the preferred strain.
I noticed Amazon is out of Sambucal right now. But they have other brands from the same cultivar and growing conditions. Get it now, while you can.

I am female; not your pal, and I never have time for movies. I consider Natural News and Mike Adams the Health Ranger a very legitimate source of information concerning the wonderful variety of potent, natural nutrition that God so generously provided to feed and heal our bodies. If you don’t think real food is a legitimate source of wellness you have every right to your opinion. You can ignore ideas you don’t like. Sambucol has been around for a long time. It is highly regarded as a product that minimizes the effect of flu. I have only had flu 2-3 times in my entire long life and hadn’t given it much study. Almost everyone I know who gets flu shots gets the flu soon after. I don’t take the shots, and I don’t get flu. I was only trying to share what I believe to be good advice. There is no profit in that for me. Natural News does not sell an elderberry concentrate to my knowledge. They do have a large variety of tested and verified premium health products.
Has anyone mentioned to you that you are kind of an a……?

Yes, that seems to be true. However, there are 2 main reasons to change a virus’ structure: (1) make a bio-weapon, or (2) fiddle with the structure to figure out how to fight these coronaviruses. Of course, we think it is (1), and the Chinese claim it is (2). But for sure, the Chinese were very careless to let Covid-19 get out of the lab.

As far as the U.S. is concerned, whether or not the Coronavirus spreads, we have it under control via the way it is identified and then treated immediately. The treatments we have are working well, and are resulting in a quick recovery with zero deaths so far and no one being in danger of death. Plus a vaccine will be developed and made available very shortly. President Trump would not say that the fevers of people who have caught it are going down, and they are recovering if it were not so. He always tells the truth, so if it were not true, he simply would not have mentioned it. That is how an honest person handles information that is bad, or not wanted to be known. We have had worse outbreaks of the flu. Nothing whatsoever to be in a panic about. Who panics from the annual outbreaks of the flu?
