Taking away our First (and Second) Amendment rights. Our First Amendment rights are unalienable enshrined in the Constitution. This is totalitarianism.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced.
Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear, while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.

If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power, and a free society is destroyed. A group that cannot be criticized cannot be opposed. It can work its will no matter what it is, and no one will be able to say anything to stop it.
Inoffensive speech needs no protection. The First Amendment was developed precisely in order to protect speech that was offensive to some, in order to prevent those who had power from claiming they were offended by speech opposing them and silencing the powerless.
A free society is by its nature one in which people put up with others being uncivil and offensive. The alternative is a quiet authoritarian society in which only one opinion is allowed and the others are silenced, and ultimately sent to the camps.

In the wake of the Virginia gun rights rally on Monday, Democrats in the Capitol are not slowing down their push for tyranny. They are moving a bill through the legislature that would effectively criminalize dissent against Governor Blackface Northam and other state government officials.
House Bill 1627 was introduced by Delegate Jeffrey M. Bourne last week. The legislation “provides that certain crimes relating to threats and harassment may be prosecuted in the City of Richmond if the victim is the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.”
Language in the bill explicitly criminalizes free speech, in what would constitute a blatant attack on the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.

“If any person, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass any person, shall use a computer or computer network to communicate obscene, vulgar, profane, lewd, lascivious, or indecent language, or make any suggestion or proposal of an obscene nature, or threaten any illegal or immoral act, he is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor,” the legislation reads.

The legislation makes it clear that the above provision applies directly to “the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia,” which means this legislation effectively criminalizes dissent against public officials.
Tina Freitas, wife of Republican Delegate Nick Freitas, called attention to this intolerable act in a Facebook post on Tuesday night.
“Wow on cue, now they are after the 1A! Dems are trying to set up special rules exclusive to the Elite ruling class, to protect themselves from criticism!” Freitas wrote.
“What is considered harassment? Is Governor Infanticide/KKK Hood trying to avoid being held accountable? Are we no longer allowed to demand justice for the alleged rape victims of LG Fairfax? This is some straight up communist censorship!” she added.
Virginia Democrats were not detracted by the gun rights rally on Monday in the slightest. They moved red flag laws through the legislature just a day later, and subsequently killed pro-gun bills that were introduced by Republicans.
“The governor and the leadership of the democrats have declared war on law-abiding citizens and gun owners and their votes today just confirmed that that’s where we’re going,” said Philip Van Cleave, President of Virginia Citizens Defense League.
Virginia patriots may have to continue organizing locally, with Sheriffs deputizing local patriots and constitutional militias being trained, as a bulwark against the treasonous usurpers leading the state legislature.

Gov Blackface has proposed limiting exactly the type of speech expressly protected under the first amendment. First the second then the first. Dissenters will be told to get on the trains, and without a gun you will have no choice.

This undemocratic legislation is only the beginning of the Democrats’ nefarious design of establishing an autocratic nation. There are still allot of people getting their news from the MSM and being taught communism is good in school. That is a concern. In K-12 they NEVER use the word communism and that is what it is. They use “social justice” and leveling “income inequality”.
Betsy DeVOs, Secretary of Education has done absolutley NOTHING about Common Core. These are education email lists that I have relied on over the years.
Each is excellent and focuses on education from a conservative view point. I use others too but these are the main ones.
Education is a MESS and getting WORSE. I typically don’t look at them anymore. I am done with K-12!
Parents either buy into it or are not doing enough to stop the gloablist agenda and dumbing kids down.
LGBTQ is taught as normal in nearly all subjects as well as whites are racists. The indoctrination is over the top and they use cherry picked “evidence based” to laughingly serve as being “objective”.
There is also an intense hostility towards Christianity and Islam is exalted. Another dangerous push is for SEL (Social Emotional Learning) where they tell students how to react and behave in situations now adopted in nearly all subjects too with the goal to have it is ALL subjects – emotional brainwashing! I could go on and on but it’s better if you read it yourself.
AP History already calls Trump a racist, bigot and misogynist just in time for the 2020 election! Where oh where is Betsy DeVos????? She is supposed to be our Secretary of Education.

In previous newsletters we have examined how the cultural Marxists came to America around 1933 and began to carry out their self-described, long march through the institutions of America. Their stated goal was to bring about a new way of revolution in America by attacking the existing morality of the culture. By morality, they meant the values and worldview that make America a free nation based upon individual rights ordained by God.
For the Marxist revolution to be successful, individuality must be replaced by collectivism, or, in other words, free market capitalism must be replaced by the economic philosophy of Marxism, which is socialism. In addition, the entire legal system of the United States of America must be challenged and portrayed as a system that was implemented by white, racist, European men based on social constructs that were crafted in order to exploit and dominate non-whites. Enter, Sharia—what the Marxists see as a great tool to destroy America’s constitutional republic, and one reason the reds have agreed to the red-green axis of Marxism and Islam.
America’s immigration crisis has been used to import voters that will elect Islamic radicals that undermine our Constitution Republic. Such examples would be Omar lIhan of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. These women are just the beginning of numerous candidates that will be elected to the U.S. House and eventually, the U.S. Senate unless Americans wake up and respond with prudence.
Islamic revolutionaries, backed by Marxist revolutionaries, are already using sharia as a weapon to destroy America’s constitutional republic, freedom of speech, and the rule of law that guards our liberties and freedoms and protects us from the tyranny they desire. Iranian Born American Amil Imani warns:
“As government policies lean toward Islamic ideals, the Bill of Rights will be seen as archaic and out of touch with contemporary values and the new direction of the country. It will be just a piece of parchment in a museum, lacking anyone who would be so bold and revolutionary as to fight a religion, even a religion of hate.”
The Marxists and globalists are using illegal immigration to import new voters that will support their radical anti-American candidates. They are also using a non-stop flood of immigrants to swell the welfare roles which will aid in collapsing America’s economy and increase the acceptance of a socialist state.
In addition, the immigration crisis and lack of border security has allowed for an Islamic invasion of America. This has allowed America’s enemies to prepare the battlefield right here within our borders. In my most recent docuMovie Siege, I interviewed a former CIA operations officer who proved terror cells have been embedded within America. These terror cells would certainly be used if necessary to facilitate the revolution desired by the Marxists. They can also be used by our enemies to blackmail our nation to capitulate to the demands of the red-green axis.
Throughout the docuMovie Siege, I explained that America is under siege at the power centers of media, education, and government. But did you know that the Marxists have penetrated religion and have long planned to use religion as a cover? As I document in my book Marxianity, well known evangelicals are promoting Marxism mixed with Christianity, and they are furthering the agenda of the Communists just as FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover warned in an article in Christianity Today on October 4, 1960. Listen to the warnings by the former FBI Director and determine if it does not sound just like what we are facing today.
“Look,” the Communists are saying, “we are tolerant of religion, we do not want to attack your faith. Rather, let’s work together on issues in which we are both interested—peace, civil liberties, economic justice. We Communists are believers in love, justice, and the brotherhood of man. This enables the Party to move close to unsuspecting ministers and laymen who see only the exterior verbiage and not the concealed danger. How does the Party work here? A 2019 Gallop survey found that at least forty percent of Americans embrace some form of socialism and sadly, many of those calling for socialist polices are leaders within mainstream evangelicalism.

I just skimmed it. This Governor is treading on thin ice and he knows it, hence the legislstion singling him out and his corrupt toadies. These kinds of threats are already a crime..but you know how it is for the corrupt ELITE…..
§ 18.2-60.1. Threatening the Governor or his immediate family.
Any person who shall knowingly and willfully send, deliver or convey, or cause to be sent, delivered or conveyed, to the Governor or his immediate family any threat to take the life of or inflict bodily harm upon the Governor or his immediate family, whether such threat be oral or written, shall be is guilty of a Class 6 felony. A violation of this section may be prosecuted in the jurisdiction in which the communication was made or received or in the City of Richmond.
§ 18.2-430. Venue for offenses under this article.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article may be prosecuted either in the county or city from which he called or in the county or city in which the call was received, or in the City of Richmond if the person subjected to the act is one of the following officials or employees of the Commonwealth: the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.

I’m anti-hate, anti-racist, anti-bigot, anti-crime, and anti-violence … and I expect Governors to prevent this activity.
If I sent that line to Governor Northam from this computer, that line would violate the statute.
To be fair, it’s unlikely the Gov. would seek to prosecute me because it would likely be overturned even in a fairly Lefty court …
But on the other hand, why would the Gov. and his Demokkkrat operatives want an unenforceable law? Not to intimidate someone who will intimidate them with violent threats: We already have such laws – and the Gov. Blackface knows it.
The purpose of the law is to intimidate people: Specifically to threaten them when they do exercise their right to Free Speech.
If you don’t think this happens, you’ve lived a sheltered life: I have personally faced both Federal and State investigations for exercising my 1A right of Free Speech – because they knew what I had to say threatened their cushy jobs and immoral, unethical, and illegal activities.
Those of us who know what’s going on – know this is not about deterring gun-nuts.

This is interesting. If you criticise a high court decision, the governor and his immediate staff, you break the law? So next election, would any Republication be subject to arrest for pointing out Democrat failures in a negative way?
This governor quietly raised the requirements for calling for a recall. From 10% to 25% of the voters. Then anti-constitutional gun laws. Now anti-constitutional speech law. Where will it stop? Being a Republican will be against the law?
Next demonstration, all the whites show up in black face, the blacks show up in white face. That will sting! And then the world attention to this, the man in the crowd interviews going viral, and the country waking up to what is going on there.

John Brown (of Harper’s Ferry fame) was hanged in 1859 for treason. Not treason against the United States, but treason against the Commonwealth of Virginia.
If Virginia’s Constitution protects the same rights as the U.S. Constitution, how is it not treason for the Democrats to attempt to abrogate those rights by simple legislation?

Achmed, the bill only adds wording to a statute that was already in existence to include the politicians, which already were technically included anyway because they are also “any person”….. It does not apply to merely politicians but everyone. More stupid “doing something” by law makers.

I agree, that section of the law is unconstitutional before this revision. I guess it’s never been challenged which says to me no one has ever been charged with it.

So they are going to criminalize political speech – even if they’re not intimidated by said speech.
And let’s be clear – Free Speech is about political speech.
These ‘laws’ are intended to intimidate – but I also suspect they may be used as justification for censorship on the internet – long before they start swatting and harassing people for internet posts.

I’d say VA voters REALLY fluked up big time when they put all of the Democrats in sole power of their state government. Dems are so worried Trump will refuse to leave office once his last term is over. I’d say Ralph Northam sounds like the one who will have to be dragged out kicking and screaming when his term is over. As I understand it, the VA governor’s job is only one term.
