Bernie Sanders: ‘Our Job Is to Rebuild United Nations’

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said during Tuesday’s Democrat debate in Des Moines, Iowa, that the United States has a duty to “rebuild the United Nations.”
During a question focusing on U.S. foreign policy, Sanders stated that it is America’s job to “rebuild the United Nations.”
“The American people are sick and tired of endless wars which have cost us trillions of dollars,” Sanders said.
“Our job is to rebuild the United Nations and rebuild the State Department, make sure we have the capability of bringing the world together to resolve international conflict diplomatically and stop the endless wars,” he continued.
Sanders also lamented the rising tensions with Iran, citing the Vietnam War and Iraq War — which he called the two great foreign policy disasters — contending that both were based on lies.
The socialist senator said he fears that President Trump is lying and angling to “drag” us into a war that is “worse than the war in Iraq.”
“What we need to do is have an international coalition. We cannot keep acting unilaterally,” he said, noting that the Iran Deal was crafted alongside allies.
“We have got to undo what Trump did, bring that coalition together and make sure that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon,” he added.

Is it just me, or this guy just a walking oxymoron?
I mean, all the stuff he wants is directly detrimental to the USA. Basically, he wants the United States to lie down and let the ‘nations’ of the UN butcher us, be a sacrificial cow to a bunch of third world pestholes.
Well, screw you, Sanders…anti America, anti Israel lout.
Everyone who cares about our culture, and our children, had best be ready. This guy can’t be allowed get close to the White House, and must be fought tooth and nail in any case. Even his being in the Senate is a disastrous sign of our sickness as a nation and a culture. One of them.

First step, move it to a muslim country. Second step provide funding by voting authorization , one vote, provide one equal share of the funding. 100 members would each provide 1% of the funding. Don’t pay your share, you don’t vote or speak.

Bernie Sanders is undoubtedly the most dangerous man in America today. His utterance about rebuilding the corrupt, terror backing, and intolerant UN is but the harbinger of his aspirations for this Republic.
This man’s endeavor is the total eradication of the Constitutional Republic, turning America into a Collectivist, Totalitarian State. Nor does his loathing, hatred stop there, Sanders’ unbridled anti-Semitism and animus for the State of Israel has no bounds. He is a bilious man, a malignancy endorsed by the radicalized Left, the Hollywood Stalinists, and others whose sole bent is this Republic’s end. Sanders echoes the ambitions of the Democratic Party of fear, hate-mongering, intolerance, and unmitigated Jew-hatred. Bernie, one hopes, is on the roadway to self-destruction, but one cannot count on Karma, Divine Justice, only the electorate, or those Democrats who see through this perfidious man’s real intent. One has to surmise there are moderate Democrats not afflicted with the Marxist scourge; the latter, moderate Democrats, holds many doubts.

I understand why we stay in the U.N. – to have a voice and influence but I wonder about that…
It might be wiser to get out. It’s totally corrupt. They view the U.S. as their global ATM machine and a place for trafficking government dependent people while the peace keepers rape people wherever they are. They have become a global organization trying to usurp a country’s sovereignty put the country under their international laws and courts.

Let me begin by stating that I do not support Sander’s, but he is right about the U.N. needing to be rebuilt. It now is under the control of partisans that only support what is in their best interests. Though, being a part of the permanent security counsel gives this nation a check and balance opportunity, the overall conduct of the U.N. is controlled by those partisans and the U.N. has fallen into a very deep muddy hole of non-accomplishments. Though it needs to be rebuilt, I see little opportunity available to make it into an entity of fairness, rationality and promoting of peace.

The U.N. is too corrupt to change. The purpose of the U.N. has changed.
It is a globalist hub that wants to over rule a country’s sovereignty and have te U.S. pay for it.

While I cannot argue that abolishment is one avenue available, and while I recognize that the original purpose of the U.N. to foster peace and tolerance around this world has lost that objective, the original purpose still has meaning to me. Unfortunately, what might be argued is that mankind simply is not able to accept tolerance and peace due to the conflicting beliefs out there that prevail, and so you may be right that there is no hope for such a universal body. I like to see the optimistic things that mankind can deliver, though we are our own enemy as evil has a way of raising its ugly head to create disharmony, violence and lack of tolerance.

Felix, it was ALWAYS a globalist hub. Its founders were all part of the CFR – Council on Foreign Relations – not to mention the Rockefellers and the dyed-in-the-wool communist, Alger Hiss.
Since Americans wanted no part of Woodrow Wilson’s League of Nations, another world war was begun to affect that change. That is really what WWII was all about. Begun – and financed – by the biggest globalist banksters to force the U.S. into its globalist foundation, and then work quietly behind the scenes to undermine our Constitution, our sovereignty and our nation.

What Sanders does not seem to understand is that if he violates the Constitution he is guilty of Treason, even if he occupies the Office of President, and is likewise subject to the penalties for Treason.

No, we should put the U.N. out of the U.S., let them go to London or Paris, take All their U.S. property on U.S soil (even trucks and guns) and renovate it and rent it or sell it, then think long and hard about continuing membership. We certainly should not pay more than required. My vote would be to withdraw our membership! It is a dead useless organization!

We need to stay in the UN but eject the UN Headquarters from the USA.
It’s been a constant string of abuses of US Hospitality on the part of UN Delegates and their staffs. Too many of these people are flat out grifters who are more interested in their own personal profit than they are in working to improve the world.
We need to give them 60 days notice to vacate the Headquarters that was paid for by US Taxpayers. On Day 61 cut the utilities so they may be repaired and upgraded while plans are being drawn up to convert the building to a V.A. Service Center and Low Cost Housing for Veterans, with Disabled Vets having first call on any available units and any modifications needed for the veterans disability accommodation made at taxpayer expense.
