Erdogan Says Turkey Cannot Handle New Migrant Wave From Syria, Warns Europe

By Tuvan Gumrukcu, OANN, December 22, 2019

ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey cannot handle a fresh wave of migrants from Syria, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday, warning that European countries will feel the impact of such an influx if violence in Syria’s northwest is not stopped.

Story continues below advertisement

Turkey currently hosts some 3.7 million Syrian refugees, the largest refugee population in the world, and fears another wave from the Idlib region, where up to 3 million Syrians live in the last significant rebel-held swathe of territory.

Syrian and Russian forces have intensified their bombardment of targets in Idlib, which Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad has vowed to recapture, prompting a wave of refugees toward Turkey.

Speaking at an awards ceremony in Istanbul on Sunday night, Erdogan said more than 80,000 people were currently on the move from Idlib to Turkey.

“If the violence toward the people of Idlib does not stop, this number will increase even more. In that case, Turkey will not carry such a migrant burden on its own,” Erdogan said.

“The negative impact of the pressure we will be subjected to will be something that all European nations, especially Greece, will also feel,” he said, adding that a repeat of the 2015 migrant crisis would become inevitable.

He also said Turkey was doing everything possible to stop Russian bombardments in Idlib, adding that a Turkish delegation would go to Moscow to discuss Syria on Monday.

Erdogan has previously threatened to “open the gates” for migrants to Europe unless Turkey got more support in hosting the refugees.

“NOT ENOUGH”

Turkey is seeking international support for plans to settle 1 million Syrians in part of northeast Syria that its forces and their Syrian rebel allies seized from the Kurdish YPG militia in a cross-border incursion in October.

Ankara has received little public backing for the proposal and has repeatedly slammed its allies for not supporting its plans. Turkey’s offensive was also met with condemnation from allies, including the United States and European countries.

“We call on European countries to use their energy to stop the massacre in Idlib, rather than trying to corner Turkey for the legitimate steps it took in Syria,” Erdogan said on Sunday, referring to the three military operations Turkey has carried out in Syria.

After a global refugee forum in Geneva last week, the United Nations refugee agency said states pledged more than $3 billion to support refugees and around 50,000 resettlement places. But, Erdogan, who attended the forum, said on Sunday that sum was not enough.

U.N agencies say hundreds of people have been killed in Idlib this year after attacks on residential areas.

Russia and the Syrian army, which is loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, both deny allegations of indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas and say they are fighting al Qaeda-inspired Islamist militants.

Rescue teams said six people were killed in Maarat al Numan and 11 more in nearby villages on Friday.

Earlier on Sunday, Turkey’s state-run Anadolu news agency said some 205,000 people had been displaced from their homes in Idlib since November due to the attacks. It said the fleeing civilians were going toward areas in Syria that Turkey seized in its military operations, or to other parts of Idlib.

That was last years LIE.
I really get tired of this Pope LYING about “refugees” and what the Bible states.
This Pope truly has no shame and loves to exploit ignorant people.

Once again, the liars spoke of Joseph, Mary and Jesus as “refugees”. They were not “refugees” or “illegal aliens” or “seeking asylum”. Joseph’s home town was Bethlehem. For whatever reason decree was issued requiring people to return to their home town for the CENSUS COUNT, so Joseph, and Mary, pregnant with Jesus, trekked to Bethlehem for the census. There were people coming and going as people traveled to their home towns for the census so accommodations were full and you know the rest of the story.

Later King The Great, in Jerusalem, hearing about this new born “King of the Jews” became paranoid and felt threatened. He demanded all male babies be murdered that were two years old and under, with the hope of murdering Jesus and removing any threat. (Matthew 2:16-18). Herod initiated the “Massacre of the Innocents” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacre_of_the_Innocents An angle appeared to Joseph in a dream and warning him to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. (Matthew 2:13) So Joseph, Mary and Jesus escaped to Egypt in 5 or 4BC which was also part of the ROMAN EMPIRE.

Egypt was outside of the dominion of King Herod, but BOTH EGYPT and palestine were part of the ROMAN EMPIRE when Joseph, Mary and Jesus fled there. King Herod simply had no jurisdiction over Egypt. Bethlehem was linked by a coastal road known as “the way of the sea” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Via_Maris making travel between Bethlehem and Egypt easy and safe and that is what they used to flee to Egypt, part of the Roman empire but not touchable by Herod.

Read about it here to in liberal wikipedia!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_into_Egypt

So in NEITHER situation were Joseph, Mary or Jesus ILLEGAL ALIENS or REFUGEES or ASYLUM SEEKERS. Each area they moved to was part of the ROMAN EMPIRE. This is a DECEPTIVE ANALOGY being put forward by Pope Frances. It would be like moving from one state in the U.S. to another state. Each state is part of the United States
Egypt in 5BC

When Joseph and Mary escaped with the baby Jesus to Egypt in 5 or 4BC, it was a friendly neighbour of Judaea with a large Jewish community. Following the defeat of Mark Antony and Cleopatra VII (the last Ptolemaic (Greek) ruler of Egypt) by Octavian (Augustus Caesar) at the Battle of Actium in 31BC, Egypt had become part of the Roman Empire.

Cleopatra really picked the wrong boyfriend. It’s just too bad the Egyptian army had to suffer for her romantic mistake.

Muslim immigrants should move to wealthy Islamic state of Saudi. Saudi has massive amounts of undeveloped land, just begging to be utilized. Muslim immigrants would be closer to Mecca and Allah would hear their prayers better.

Most of Syria is now safe. The refugees can go home..

Why not send them to Turkish occupied East Cyprus if the don’t want to go home?

Erdogan just wants to flood Europe with Muslims. Take over by birth rate.

The harsh reality is that most European leaders, Hungary’s Viktor Orban and Poland’s Andrzej Duda the exceptions, are too cowardly and bereft of ideas to counter-threaten Recep Erdogan. Even Donald Trump has said peculiarly flattering things about this vile piece of Muslim filth, Recep Erdogan. Hungary had about 140 years of cruel Ottoman rule and the Pole’s fought off the Muslims for more than a hundred years. so they know what a vile lot the Muslims are. The rest of Europe, with possible exception of Slovakia and Czech Republic, are worse then pathetic. They’ve experienced years of vile Muslim behaviour, rape, assault and murder, yet are so lacking in morals that there is no moral outrage against savages and determination to eject the scum.

This is an act of war that you can’t refuse. A sea wave of migrant invaders is more effective than a nuke because you will feel sorry for migrants because you don’t realize they are rat Muslims taking over the planet by force.

Do these refugees fear reprisal from their own government? On that grounds, there may be a few, but I suspect most want the free handouts from the West. There is no reason why these people cannot be aided in place without removing them from the increasingly hostile environs of Europe. Trump should offer Turkey Eastern Syria in return for Constantinople being returned to the Greeks. I’m confident Russia would agree and the problem is settled. The agreement could also include a Kurd state carved out of Northern Iraq.

There is a simple solution for b!tch-slapping the feral Koranimal, Islamonazi tyrant, thief, torturer and thug Er-DOG-an. If he wants to threaten Western Europe with another wave of invading !nbred Isklamonazi sav@ges, the West should make crystal clear to this piece of waste that sanctions like never before will be imposed on Islamonazi Turkey to the point that Er-DOG-an is chased out of the country (assuming he isn’t hung from a lamppost in Ankara first, Mussolini-style).

How long is this fighting going to go on? Who is giving these “rebels” weapons? Why don’t they just admit they lost to Assad? These people just keep fighting and fighting…. Where does anyone think all this fighting is going? Who’s actually promoting it? How can there still be anyone alive to govern in Syria?
